Restoration 4- the world

As sons of God, we need to retake our heavenly positions where we are seated and enthroned to legislate the kingdom in heaven to manifest heaven on earth. Therefore, the context of legislation should be the restoration of all things back to God’s original intent.

We have embarked on a journey to discover the full meaning of the restoration of all things and the part we all have to play in that restoration as sons of God. It involves personal restoration of spirit, soul, body and also of creation itself.

Acts 3:19 Therefore repent and return, so that the sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; 20 and that He may send Jesus, the Christ appointed for you, 21 whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.

Rom 8:14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ.

Rom 8:19 For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. 21 that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

In a world where multitudes feel unwanted, unloved, unimportant, the gospel introduces us to the heartbeat of creation, the fact that you are what inspires the Father Son and Spirit most! You began in their most intimate thought! Restoration for all of us and creation to be aligned with God’s thoughts.

If we are not restored as sons and heirs then creation will not be restored. The restoration of all things begins with Jesus working in us and then through us now not in an event when He comes someday in the future.

The many “all things” revealed in the bible need to be meditated upon, engaged with and entered into. We are heirs and coheirs therefore what is revealed about all things in the context of God as our Father and Jesus as our co-heir directly relates to our sonship.

Paul speaks in 2 Cor 3:9 -of the ministry of righteousness abounds in glory. He speaks of how this ministry introduces man to a permanent glory, an experience of glory that takes him beyond the boundaries and the limits of what his senses could enjoy.

God initiated the friendship with us that He had in mind in the beginning, before time was.  Through the work of reconciliation, redemption and restoration God placed the human race within Himself in a place of permanent glory.

God wants us to discover that restored relational experience for which the cross has become our qualification.  He qualified us not because our own works, but in terms of His son’s obedience that made us all righteous in His sight.

The gospel of Jesus Christ reveals another law. It is called the Law of Faith, the Law of Liberty, the Law of the Spirit.  It is a liberty that cannot be contradicted or overcome because Jesus has overcome everything necessary though the cross.

1 Cor 15:27 For He has put all things in subjection under His feet.  What does subjection mean?  Is it good or bad?  What is it to be in subjection?  Who and what is going to be brought into subjection?

Subjection (hupotassó) to place under, subject to; Properly, “under God’s arrangement,” submitting to the Lord (His plan).  All things brought into agreement with God’s plans and purposes. Jesus is our example by only doing what He saw the Father doing.

1 Cor 15:28 When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.

Eph 1:22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet and gave Him as head over all things to the church, (Ekklesia) 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Rom 11:36 For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. 1

Cor 2:10 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.

1 Cor 8:6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.

1 Cor 11:12 .. all things originate from God – all those things will be restored but all things originating from DIY path will not be restored.

1 Cor 12:6 There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.

1 Cor 13:7 (love ) bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  God is love who bears with us, believes in us, hopes for us and endures with us to bring restoration.

Eph 1:10 with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth.  All in heavens and all on the earth will be restored in Christ.

Eph 1:11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will.

Eph 4:10 He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.

Col 1:16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.  17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Col 1:20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven. 22 yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach.

Col 1:20 He initiated the reconciliation of all things to himself. Through the blood of the cross God restored the original harmony. His reign of peace now extends to every visible thing upon the earth as well as those invisible things which are in the heavenly realm.

Col 1:20 Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universe, people and things, animals and atoms get properly fixed and fit together in vibrant harmonies, all because of his death, his blood that poured down from the cross.

2 Cor 5:19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world (cosmos) to Himself, not counting their sins against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.  If no one’s sin is counted them based on the cross then all subsequent judgments must produce life and not death.

2 Cor 5:19 Our ministry declares that Jesus did not act independently of God. Christ is proof that God reconciled the total kosmos to himself. Deity and humanity embraced in Christ; the fallen state of mankind was deleted.

2 Cor 5:19 their trespasses would no longer count against them! God has placed this message in us. He now announces his friendship with every individual from within us! God was in Christ, when he reconciled the world to himself.

Gal 1:15 But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, was pleased 16 to reveal His Son in me. God is not separated from people He is at work in all people to reveal Himself as love and light to them.

2 Cor 5:19 The incarnation did not separate the Father from the Son and the Spirit as according to Col 2:9 In him dwells the fullness of God in a human body.

As a human person, Jesus felt the agony of fallen humanity on the cross when he echoed Psalm 22, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me! Why are you so far from helping me, from the words of my groaning?”

Ps 22:24, David declares triumphantly: “He has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; and he has not hid his face from him, but has heard, when he cried to him.”

The restoration of all things is based on the victory of the cross over all things. All judgment and justice are based on the victory of the cross over sin, death and the grave and every hindrance or legal obstacle is overcome.

Rev 1:17-I am the first and the last, 18 and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.  The power of the resurrection has defeated death and is what enables everything to be restored.

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is age enduring life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Rom 5:21 so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to age enduring life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Cor 15:21 For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.  The Adamic race ended with Christ. From this side of the cross, no one is descended from Adam, but from Christ. All are already in Christ but don’t know it.

1 Cor 15:56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; 57 but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.  We have victory over death and sin through the power of the cross.

2 Tim 1:9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity, Eternity – before the times of the ages, – YLT

2 Tim 1:10 but now has been revealed by the appearing of our Saviour Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, Restoration to before time deals with death to restore immortality.

Eph 1:4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him, in love 5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will.

Eph 1:4 He associated us in Christ before the fall of the world! Jesus is God’s mind made up about us! He always knew in his love that he would present us again face-to-face before him in blameless innocence.  God found us in Christ before he lost us in Adam!

Heb 2:14 Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.

1 Cor 2:2 My mind is fully made up about you! The only possible way in which I can truly know you, is in the light of God’s mystery, which is Christ in you! Jesus died humanity’s death on the cross and thus brought final closure to any other basis of judgment!

Judgment – The word, krino, to judge, to determine, to deem in a forensic sense, here, in the Aorist Tense, ekrina, which suggests a once and for all completed act.  The cross is the final judgment of sin’s wages – death. There is no final judgment day it already happened at the cross.

2 Cor 5:19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world (cosmos) to Himself, Cosmos – translated world. English word means the universe considered as a system with an order and pattern.

Greek kosmos denotes the order of the world, the ordered universe, the ordered entirety of God’s creation, but considered as separated from God. The abode of humanity. That order of things in which humanity moves, or of which man is the center. “EW Bullingers

Greek Kosmos “The order of things which is alienated from God, as manifested in and by the human race: humanity as alienated from God and acting in opposition to Him.  The sum-total of human life in the ordered universe, considered apart from, and alienated from, and hostile to God, and of the earthly things which seduce from God. “- Vines.

It means, “any sphere of human activity; … the inhabitants of the earth in general; humanity; mankind; the human race; that which pertains to the earth or to the present state of existence only; the concerns of this life as distinguished from those of the life to come; that portion of mankind which is devoted to worldly or secular affairs. “Websters.

“An apt and harmonious arrangement or constitution, order, government. The inhabitants of the earth, men, the human race. The ungodly multitude: the whole mass of men alienated from God, and therefore hostile to the cause of Christ. World affairs, the aggregate of things earthly. Strongs.

In the Greek, you find the word ‘kosmos,’ which appears 187 times in the New Testament books. It means the world in various ways . First, it can mean the material universe or earth which God created. This is how the word is used in Act 17:24.

Second, it can mean the world of mankind, as in John 3:16. God loves all people.  Third, it can mean the affairs and things of ungodly men. 1 John 2:15-16 hence don’t love the world.

“World” comes from the Old English word “werold.” This comes from an Old High German word, “Weralt.” And this comes from an early West Germanic composition of two words: “wera” which means “man,” and the Indo-European base “alth” which comes from the Latin “altus”, meaning “old.”

The meaning of the ancient word World is: “The Old Man.” (Broken down individually, “were” means man, and “old” means old).  All that Adam has done and undone to make the old DIY order will be restored to back to God’s original intent and purpose.

God in Christ reconciled everything that operates from the world’s old DIY lost condition. God is not holding anything related to sin against the world for any of the three meanings and is restoring all of these things back to original condition and then to His original intention.

Heb 1:2 in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.  Heb 1:3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

Heb 2:8 You have put all things in subjection under his feet.” For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we do not yet see all things subjected to him.  So, all things can be restored but all things are not yet restored.

Heb 2:10 For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings.  Jesus by dying our death has made it possible for all things relating to creation and us to be restored.

Heb 2:17 Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.  Jesus took on the form of fallen Adam not sinless Adam to fully identify with us and restore us.

Rev 21:5 And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”  Old covenant is made new in the new covenant where all the promises of God are yes in Christ.

Engage God who is Father, Son and Spirit to ask the questions:  What is missing from your life?  What is broken in your life?  What has been lost in your life?  What has been robbed from your life?  What needs to be restored in your life?

Look into the eyes of the Prince of Peace those the deep pools of the way truth and life.

Close your eyes and begin to think of Jesus and let that form in your imagination. Look into the eyes of the Prince of Peace. Ask Jesus to restore all things to you. Ask Jesus to restore your sonship.

Ask Jesus to restore your glory and light. As a bright cloud overshadows you hear, a voice out of the cloud say “You are My beloved Son in whom I am well-pleased; in whom My soul delights.

Ask Jesus to restore you to your position of authority as a son . Ask Jesus take you beyond where you have been before . Let Jesus take you back to your eternal origin within the heart of God.

Ask Jesus to restore you. Ask Jesus to take you beyond where you have been before. Let Jesus take you back to your origin within the heart of God.
