Journey Preparation 01 – Intro

If you live cautiously, your friends will call you wise. You just won’t move many mountains.” – Bill Johnson

We are going on a wild adventure in faith spelt RISK

Judges 6:12 “And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him and said to him, The Lord is with you, you mighty warrior of fearless courage. You may not feel it or believe but it is your true identity in relationship with God.

We are going on a journey or an adventure together. There are 2 main pathways that we are going to follow. Pathway of relationship that leads to deeper intimacy with God.  Pathway of responsibility leads to greater kingdom rulership.

2 Cor 4:18- So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternalSeen is the physical realm .Unseen spiritual realm around us .Eternal heavenly realms – the real realm.

Both pathways will engage the unseen spiritual realm around us. Both pathways will engage the eternal heavenly realm .The purpose is transformation both of ourselves and that which we are responsible for – the whole of creation.

Rom 8:19 For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 24 For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.

We need to be able to see the unseen. We are going to learn how to see the unseen. We are going to learn how to manifest the unseen into the physical realm.

Mark 8:18 “Having eyes, do you not see?”  We all have natural eyes but they don’t see the unseen realm. We all have spiritual eyes and ears but are they open and functioning?

We have natural physical senses. Our hearts or souls have senses. Our spirits have senses. We are going to learn how to activate all our senses.

Hebrews 5:12-14 they have their senses trained to discern through practice – faith.

Ephesians 1:15-18- the eyes of your heart or understanding being enlightened or opened – gift.

2 Kings 6: 15-17- And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha”.

In the past there were 3 main ways of receiving revelation from God.

1-Face to face encounter – Moses at the burning bush or on the mountain.

2-Prophets who heard and spoke God’s word.

3-Seers who saw in visions & dreams.

1 Chron 29:29 “As for the events of King David’s reign, from beginning to end, they are written in the records of Samuel the seer, the records of Nathan the prophet and the records of Gad the seer…”

1 Samuel 9:9, “Formerly in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, he spoke thus: ‘Come, let us go to the seer’; for he who is now called a prophet was formerly called a seer.”

“Nabi” style prophecy is a spontaneous bubbling up, a sudden inspiration to prophesy with little or no foreknowledge.

“Roeh” seer is one who receives communications from God more from visions and dreams than just audible words.

1 Cor 12:7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8 For to one is given: prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, Different gifts function at 3 levels faith, gift and office.

Example for the gift of prophecy .Lowest level is the faith level where “you can all prophesy” .The middle level is the gift of prophecy .On the highest level you have the office of the prophet.

1 Cor. 14:31 “For you can all prophesy…”

1 Cor 12:7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8 For to one is given: prophecy.

Eph 4:11 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ.

Three levels and apply it to discernmentAt the bottom we have the faith level training the senses by practice. The middle there is the gift of distinguishing of spirits. On the top of the triangle, we find the office of the seer;

Hebrews 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.

1 Cor 12:7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8 …. And to another the distinguishing of spirits.

Eph 4:11 And He gave some as prophets.

God has given us all the capacity to see physically, spiritually and heavenly. We are responsible to develop that capacity .We are responsible to use these abilities.

Revelation 3:17-18 and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked – I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see”.

Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed…”

1 John 2: 9-11: “Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness… But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.”

1 Cor. 12:31 “… eagerly desire the greater gifts. “Spiritual gifts can be imparted. You can receive a transfer of the ability to see. But you only receive a seed you are responsible to cultivate it.

IMPARTATION IS FOUNDATIONAL– Hebrews 6: 1-2 therefore let us leave the elementary doctrines about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of…the laying on of hands…

IMPARTATION IS INTENTIONAL – Rom 1:11 “For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established…”

We intentionally give that which we have, by the direction of the Holy Spirit:  Matt 10:8 Freely you received, freely give.  Acts 3:6 what I have I give you…”

Examples of impartation- Joshua and Moses:  Deut. 34: 9 now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him;

Moses and the elders -Num 11:24-25 Then the Lord came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him (Moses), and placed the same upon the seventy elders; and it happened, when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied…

Elijah and Elisha:  2 Kings 2:9 And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?” Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me”.

Paul and Timothy:  1 Tim 4:14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership  .2 Tim 1:6 “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands”.

IMPARTATION IS VARIABLENot everyone receives the same level of anointing in impartation. God knows what you need, and what you can handle.  Character must go with the gift and that takes perseverance.

IMPARTATION IS A SEED, NOT A FULL-GROWN PLANT .Seeds need good soil, water & light .Soil is the condition of our hearts .Hard, stony, weedy or good soil Matt 13.

The difference in how any seed grows depends on the soil in which it is planted and how prepared and ready that soil is  .Those who have some of the most powerful impartations are the:  Hungry, Eager and Perseverant.

YOU CAN ONLY IMPART WHAT YOU POSSESS. Transference of the anointing by the laying on of hands for impartation is for each and every Christian .But you can only give what you have received.

I can transfer a seed of what I have .I can also prophesy or call forth that what I don’t have but I can’t give it. Such as I have I give to you .I am willing to lay hands on those who are hungry today.

Impartation can occur through the touching of physical objects. Matt 9:20 And a woman who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelve years, came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His cloak;

Matt 14:5 And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent word into all that surrounding district and brought to Him all who were sick; 36 and they implored Him that they might just touch the fringe of His cloak; and as many as touched it were cured.

Acts 19:11 God was performing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, 12 so that handkerchiefs or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out.

I receive an impartation right now from the Holy Spirit for an increase in the gifts of distinguishing of spirits and prophecy. I receive anointing of eye salve from God for my eyes to see.

I receive an impartation for the eyes of my heart to be opened and enlightened. I receive an impartation for my spiritual eyes to be opened for greater vision in the spirit realm.

I can see as a seer in the unseen realms of the spirit and in the heavenly realms – but there is a cost. I can lay hands on you to impart and transfer that supernatural ability. Are you hungry?  Are you willing to cultivate that seed?
