Heavenly language

The language of heaven is very diverse and comprehensive. Our native language is very limited when compared to the language of heaven.

When we are born into the kingdom of God we have to learn the language of that kingdom. This language is far superior to our native language.

The language of the spirit realm includes Words, thoughts, Feelings, Vision, Pictures, Intuitive knowing, and unspoken communication.

Why doesn’t the Lord just tell us plainly? Why does He use dreams, visions, and symbolism?

1) The language of the spirit is much greater than human language.

2) Human language is flawed because of the fall.

3) Human language tends to go through the mind first, and then the heart or spirit.  The language of the heart is much greater than mere words, it is not just facts, it includes feelings and mood.

4) In the language of the spirit, a picture is worth a thousand words.

5) God is an eternal God, he speaks from the perspective of eternity, from which we too must see, if we are going to see accurately.

The prophets move out of gifts that come with that office, dreams and visions. But Moses moved out of his relationship with God. This was a higher level.

Num 12.6-8 Then He said , “hear my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord make myself known to him in a vision, and will speak to him in a dream. 7 my servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all my house. 8 With him I will speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold

To understand the voice of the Lord we must also understand biblical symbols, which is one of the keys to understanding dreams and visions.

The Language of Feelings involves the emotions and the physical body.

The Emotions: Cover three basic sensations:

1 Affections- Love

2 Desires- Longings, desires

3 FeelingsThese are very varied

Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

To bear witness means, “To feel the same as”.

We have to learn and respond to the sensations in our spirit. These are not voices but feelings. This is the language of feeling, or spiritual sensations.

There are seven sensations of the spirit man recorded in the New Testament.

 Mark 7:34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.

1) To Sigh in  the Greek- stenazo

This word means to sigh, groan with a prayer burden. It is a sensation in your spirit.

Mark 8:12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.

He sighed deeply IN HIS SPIRIT this is a spirit sensation.

This sensation is usually accompanied by compassion.

When you have a stenazo in your spirit it is easy to pray.

Romans 8:23 And not only [they], but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, [to wit], the redemption of our body.

To Groan, this is the same word stenazo.

II Corinthians 5:4a For we that are in [this] tabernacle do groan, being burdened:

Groan being burdened– A prayer burden with feeling, with compassion.

Ezekiel 21:6 Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of [thy] loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.

To sigh: have you ever noticed, that you sometimes find yourself sighing for no reason. This is an indication of stenazo in your spirit. You need to draw aside and pray.

You must learn to sense this spirit manifestation and respond to it. The stenazo is not the prayer, it is the urge to pray.

2) To Groan John 11:33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,

Groaned in His SPIRIT. This is not the same as Rom 8:23.

The Greek word is embrimaomai. Meaning, “To have an infusion of God’s authority with a sense of indignation“.

It is a sensation of an inward groan coupled with a sensation of indignation. A mix of authority and anger.

God wants to express His affections, desires, and feelings through you. He longs for His heartbeat to become your heartbeat.

We have to learn a new language of heaven, which is far greater than an earthly language

3) To be Troubled in Spirit The Greek word tarasso. Meaning: To stir, agitate.

John 13:21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me”.

This is a spirit sensation, which gives the sense that “something is wrong“.

This often occurs ahead of time, giving you time to pray. It operates like an early warning system.

This is a very important sensation for you to learn, it can save you a lot of trouble.

Some things which the enemy is seeking to do in your life or the lives of others, can be avoided, if you respond properly to the “tarasso” in your spirit.

Luke 22:31 And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired [to have] you, that he may sift [you] as wheat”.

Luke 22:32 “But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren”.

4) Provoked in Spirit Greek word: paroxuno.

Meaning: A zeal to act. It is a sensation that makes you keen, sharp, and zealous to do something.

Acts 17:16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.

His SPIRIT was stirred in him. A spirit sensation.

5) Pressed in Spirit Greek word: sunecho: Meaning. To become one with, pressed together.

Acts 18:5 And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews [that] Jesus [was] Christ.

Pressed in SPIRIT. A spirit sensation.

It is a sensation feeling of becoming one with the Lord, to become consciously one with the Holy Spirit. To be pressed into the Lord.

This is a very powerful manifestation of the Holy Spirit in your spirit.

II Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

Constraineth Gk Sunecho.  The love of God sunechoed him.

 Acts 20:22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:

Acts 20:23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.

The word “bound” in verse 22 is the word sunecho. Paul had no fear he was lifted in Spirit to another realm taken over, bound as one with the Holy Spirit.

This is a very difficult Greek word to translate into English. The best the translators could come up with was GROAN, but the Greek word has much more meaning.

These sensations are spirit sensations. We must learn what they mean

Jesus moved on the tarasso in His spirit praying for Peter ahead of time.

When that happens, you have a sense of the love of God for you to such a degree that you become invincible. You lose all sense of failure and anything is possible.

Martyrs have testified to this manifestation of the Holy Spirit in their spirit. It produces a tremendous boldness linked with a feeling of great security.

6) Joy The Greek word kharah. Means a calm delight

This is a spirit sensation that spills over into the emotions.

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

This is not, dependant on circumstances like happiness. This is a spirit sensation.

Under adverse circumstances, it can bring great strength.

Nehemiah 8:10 The joy of the LORD is your strength.

7) The Witness of The Spirit The word witness is the Greek word summartureo. Meaning. To corroborate, bear witness.

This operates as a check or an affirmation.

Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

It is a feeling that a thing is either right or wrong. A green light or a red light.

It is a feeling, a sensation in your spirit.

All outward spiritual manifestations must be checked by this function in your spirit.

All angelic visitations, external visions, or spirit manifestations must be monitored by this operation of the Holy Spirit in your spirit.

If you are going to develop a walk with the Lord, you must learn these various sensations of your spirit man, and you must learn to respond adequately.

Keeping Your Emotions in Check. Your life is governed by your will, the choices you make. It is important to realise that your will must govern your emotions.

Emotions are powerful and can control your life. They must be subject to your will, which in turn is subject to God.

Maintain a correct emotional state. Those who live in a high emotional state will find it very hard to discern God in their emotions. A high emotional state will cloud the movements of God in your emotions.

Low emotional states are just as bad. Depression, despondency likewise will cloud your spiritual perception.

Never make choices or decide a course of action when you are in these emotional states. Strong emotion will influence your thinking adversely.

Learn to Become Still Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I [am] God:

Be still and know: The environment we live in does not lend itself to becoming still.

Being still, does not denote inactivity, it is a state of rest in alertness and focus.

Hebrews 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

Hebrews 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, Deal with turmoil in your life, slow down, become still in your emotions and then you will begin to discern God’s emotions flowing through you.

THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT SENSATION FOR YOU TO LEARN.

Walking in the spirit requires that we understand the movements of the Holy Spirit in our spirit

You must at least once a week deliberately set some time aside to become still. Order your environment to make this possible.

Become quiet and reflective and let the tension drain out of you.

Psalms 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

Our will determines the Stream of Emotion we feel either from divine love or self-love. Our will determines the stream of our thinking either from the mind of the Spirit or the mind of the flesh.

Our will must govern our emotions and our thoughts.
