There are very few people on this earth, that walk with God. So, I am going to describe to you what it is, so you will be given the opportunity to start today.
Enoch was the first person who ever walked with God after the fall. His dedication and communion with the Lord reached to such a level, that he saw the second coming of the Lord and attained the resurrection out of the dead, referring to the body. The body is dead because of sin-Rom 8:10. He was translated without seeing death.
Noah walked with God and because he walked with God, God through him preserved the whole human race.
Abraham walked with God, and it became the identifying mark of his life. Gen 24: 40And he said unto me, The LORD, before (indicates direction and purpose-in the presence of-face) whom I walk
Abraham became the father of multitudes. Anyone who walks with God is a world changer. I am talking about what the Bible defines as a walk with God. Most people serve God on their terms not His and that is O.K.
Some people who walk with God gave up High paying jobs, gave all their money away and became missionary’s. God would probably not call you to do that, but could you do that? Could you give up your church of thousands and move somewhere and start another?
Could you make a decision to kill your son if you lived under the Old Covenant and offer him as a sacrifice to God. When you walk with God there are no conditions or limitations to your dedication. You are more than willing to be a Marter.
When you walk with God you are truly, literally dead to self. It is no longer you who live, but Christ who lives through you. Every thought, emotion, attitude, word and action are submitted to God 24/7. You obey every commandment in the bible under the New Covenant which in the Greek is called an imperative, and I think there are more commandments in the New Covenant than the Old, I have never counted them, but I study the original text.
I do not have a walk with God in the Biblical sense of the Word, but I am practicing. The Bible commands us to be continually filled with the Spirit and I leak, but I am growing. The Bible commands us to walk in the Spirit and says we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. There are three words in the Greek for not, a conditional negative, a full negative, and a double negative- which means no, never, which means it is impossible, you are always in the Spirit and never in the flesh.
Galatians 5:16I say then: Walk (imperative) in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
We are under grace and not the law, so we must be careful not to fall into legalism. We claim spiritual progress and not perfection (Perfection in the natural and in the spiritual have different meanings). Christians are not just forgiven but perfect. We have two relationships with God, one in the now and one in the future including eternity.
Hebrews 10:14- By one sacrifice Jesus has perfected those who are being sanctified which is progressive. (12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified).
God lives in the eternal and sees the end from the beginning. When He see’s us he sees who we are in eternity. He also lives in the time realm and deals with us according to our level of growth in God.
There is so much involved in walking with God, that I may write my first book on it. But I no longer make decisions based on self but based on God, but I have been directed on writing some messages on it, and then on relationships so that couples can grow closer together and experience what God intended Marriage to be.
Many people are saved, serve God, have been filled with the Spirit and speak in tongues, faithfully attend and are active in church, they may even Pastor a church and are admired and highly respected and do much good, but they do not have a walk with God and become a friend of God, where He shares secrets and His ways like He did with Moses. Most of them teach false doctrine but are not aware of it. And call me a heretic if they read certain categories on my website-www.glorytogodministries.site
Because Moses had a walk with God, He wrote the first five books of the bible. You cannot know God (in the biblical sense of the word, unless you learn how to walk with God.
First, I want you to know it takes time, so do not be discouraged, say yes to God as much as you can. A walk with God is a moment-by-moment activity which involves a second-by-second awareness of the presence of the Lord in following Him with every area of your being surrendered to Him.
Andrew Murry was once asked something like this- What is the most important thing in your relationship with God. He said ABSOLUTE SURRENDER.
There is a spiritual principal- (first the natural and then the spiritual). We all know how to walk in the natural. You take one step at a time. You need to be aware of where you step, so that you do not stumble, but you also must be aware of where you are going.
In the spiritual we are always asking all day long, “Lord what is the next step you want me to take. What do you want me to do next. But always remember we are not working for God; we are working with God. Walking with God is a journey, and in that journey, we learn what our second destiny is, those good works designed before the foundation of the world that we are to walk in (Ephesians 2:10). It is our ministry; we are all-in full-time ministry. We may not all be set in one of the five-fold offices of the church, but we are all called to walk with God, which involves the people we meet. A ministry is faith working by love. We are to love everyone and have faith for everyone. When was the last time you told someone, you believe in them? We need to have faith for everyone, never give up on an individual, but see them in the spirit, see them perfect in Christ and call them up to who they are in God. God was in Christ reconciling the world to God (2Co 5:19). Our primary destiny is to be conformed to the image of Christ (Rom 8:29).
When Jesus died on the Cross, the whole human race died with Him. Jesus was the last Adam, and when He was raised from the dead, He became the second man. Christ in now a many members body (1Co 12:12).
So, God did His part, he reconciled us to himself, therefore he sees nothing wrong with us, only the next aspect of Himself He wants to impart to us, and it is important to see this in other, and that is what we minister to them, not what is wrong with them, that only makes the problem worse.
God did His part, now we must do ours. We are incompatible with God. That is what transformation is all about, becoming like Him. That is why we are told to be reconciled to God (2Co 5:20). Then we become a new creation, we are a divine human, God is our father by genealogy, we are little gods, sons and daughters of God. Jesus is the first born, He is not only our Lord and Savior but also our older brother.
Acts 13: 29Now when they had fulfilled all that was written concerning Him, they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb. 30 But God raised Him from the dead.
This is referring to the resurrection of Jesus. We are first born again in our spirit, then in our soul (It is called the salvation of the soul, which you have probably never heard taught. Guess what? You are not saved, no one ever teaches that. They teach on transformation which is the same thing but does not have the same impact. And we need to be born again in our body-resurrection body. https://glorytogodministries.site/the-salvation-of-the-soul/↗
John 10:34-Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), 36 do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? 37 If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; 38 but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.
So, a walk with God starts with repentance which continues our whole life as God reveals areas in our life which need to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ.
To walk with God, we need to offer our body (hands, feet, eyes, and what we put in it to God). Our souls must be cleanse, blockages removed, our thinking, emotions cleansed and renewed, our will surrender. there are seven parts of our soul that must be transformed. We must keep our spirit right and actively communing with God. https://glorytogodministries.site/blog/a-right-spirit-2/↗
I do not like to preach on sin, because we are accountable to the light God gives us. There can be sin that you are not aware of in your life, but you are not accountable for it, but the Holy Spirit will deal with it in His time, I would rather you have a clear conscious with God, than tell you what is wrong with you so that you become accountable with it.
But I will mention a couple things which are obvious, if you drink alcohol in access, smoke marijuana and other drugs not prescribed by a doctor, have a problem with lust concerning the other sex (you will see things in this world, but you don’t keep on looking, you make a covenant with your eyes like job), if you have sex and are not married, you do not have a walk with God. Do not deceive yourself. Get it out in the open and do not over. I minister to people’s spirits, You can stop something 100’s of times, but there will come a time when you make a decision in God and follow through by being to walk with Him. Walking with God comes in degrees. Say yes to God as much as you can and know that on God’s part you are reconciled, He sees you perfect in Christ, be encouraged! The more you experience the pleasures of God, the less you will desire the pleasures of the world.
Psalm 16:11-You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
The more you experience the ecstasy of God, those things will just fall away. If you yield to them, you lose the experience of being filled with God, the joy unspeakable and you will be repelled by them.
Remember, it is one thing to get free and another to stay free. To stay free requires work. If you are dealing with an addiction, you can stay free for years and yet fall back in it, because you did not maintain your spiritual condition.
You can be involved in all kinds of spiritual things, and still not have a walk with God. In a walk with God, we are growing in the spirit quickly, there are always new levels and new steps the Lord has you to take.
