Who are you?
Your identity isn’t something you discover through self-inspection or create through self-improvement. Your identity is something God has already established and is inviting you to step into.
The Father doesn’t look at you and see what you are not, He sees who you are becoming. In fact, He sees who you already are in Christ – His beloved, His chosen, His masterpiece, His workmanship created for good works He prepared beforehand for you to walk in-Ephesians 2:10.
Here’s the beautiful reality: You don’t have to earn your identity or prove your worth. You get to practice living from the identity He’s already given you.
When circumstances try to tell you who you are (a failure, a disappointment, you are not good enough), remember that God’s opinion of you is the only one that should define your reality. He sees you seated with Christ in heavenly places. He sees you as His workmanship. He sees you as someone He delights to be with.
The adventure begins when you start living FROM your identity instead of working TOWARD it.
