It is such an essential part of the calling of God, that we get wounded and betrayed and rejected. It means you are growing spiritually. We get wounded by the people that we really thought we could trust. The people we use to fellowship with.
Our hopes, plans and dreams will be interfered with.
We will be persecuted when we come into the fullness of the truth, we will be called Heretic’s.
We will feel the reality of our friends walking away from us, because we are moving into the fullness of the truth, and they are stuck, locked into a belief system that is in deception.
It’s really important that you are betrayed and wounded. It’s just a part of your development. We learn how not to be offended. We appropriate the peace of God in the storm. We overcome all things and develop an immunity through it.
You are going to go through that distress. If you want to grow up into the measure of the full stature of Christ, you have to experience all the fullness of Christ. He was a man of sorrows acquainted with grief, and if you want the power of His resurrection you have to know the fellowship of His suffering. So, when you know that it’s part of our development, it’s easier to forgive those people who have done those things to you.
