The power of light to transform

JOHN 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

1 JOHN 1:5. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

I JOHN 2:9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. 10. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

The Apostle John had a real understanding of the nature and power of light. He wrote about it in his gospel, then, many years later when 90 years of age, he wrote again about light, giving us greater insight into its nature and purpose.

The Epistle of John was the last piece of inspired scripture to be written that makes up our Bible. The Epistles of John are full of inspired insights that God wanted the end-time church to grasp.

The last word of the inspired word of God: God is Love and God is Light. This light is a spiritual light of which the power of God consists.

God is light, that is – He is a being of light. Angels are beings made of or consisting of light. Your spirit is a being of light. Our spirit is enclosed or housed in a physical body that has the ability to filter out the light or hinder that light from making its way to the outside. The degree of light we walk in is determined by the degree of darkness within us.

PROVERBS 20:27 The spirit of man [is] the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly. Your spirit is a being of light, your soul and your body are filters. The level of darkness in your soul and body determines how much of the light of God you manifest.

JOHN 2:9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

HATE = DARKNESS.

You can be a born-again Christian but because of darkness in your soul, you don‘t manifest any light.

The mind emotions and will.

Darkness in the mind, wrong thoughts, and evil strongholds in the mind block light from penetrating the mind and body.

Darkness in the body.

ROMANS 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

I CORINTHIANS 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

LUKE 11:34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, (pure) thy whole body also is full of light; but when [thine eye] is evil, thy body also [is] full of darkness.

 36. If thy whole body therefore [be] full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

When the body and soul are pure, the light shines straight through.

THE EYE GATE IS A TREMENDOUSLY IMPORTANT GATE.

It either lets in light or darkness, spiritually speaking.

We must apply the filter of Philippians 4:8:

PHILIPPIANS 4:8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.

Jesus faced many temptations while on earth, He passed many tests and when He reached a certain point in His earthly walk, He was transfigured while still in the flesh.

Now the Bible says that Jesus was the firstborn of many who would be like Him, He is the firstborn of the Sons of God.

ROMANS 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

ROMANS 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

MATTHEW 17:1. And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, 2. And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

AFTER SIX DAYS… The end of the sixth day.

This experience of Jesus of transfiguration has prophetic overtones for this generation. We are now living at the end of the sixth day – that is, 6000 years from Adam – and as we continue down to the end of the age and as we continue to increase in purity, the light within us will begin to transform our physical bodies.

ISAIAH 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

God will have a people in these last days who through heart purity will come to a place where the light in their spirits will flow through their souls and bodies, transforming both.

These Christians will be transfigured while still in the flesh, every cell in their being will become energized, glorified, and redeemed.

There were certain things that Jesus could only do after He was transfigured.

Johns G. Lake, an evangelist in the early 1900s, came to a place where there was so much light flowing through him that he only had to come close to a person for them to be healed. During a great plague where thousands were dying, he took the froth from a dying man’s mouth, held it for a moment, and then asked the doctors to examine it under a microscope. They did so and found that every aspect of the infectious plague in the froth was dead.

This end-time army will wear a mantle of light and will be invincible, indestructible as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were in the furnace.

ROMANS 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
