The need for leadership

“Any areas where we are not dependent upon Jesus are marked for trouble.

The trouble will bring us back to dependence upon Him, and anything we are not using for the Kingdom of God we will eventually lose.”

We need to understand that no matter what our vocation, leadership is something we need to embrace and practice. It matters not if you are a housewife or a pastor; leadership will be required of you. Whether you exercise it or not is your choice.

Many problems in the home are a result of poor leadership or no leadership at all. This is also true of the church and the secular business arena.

We all are called upon to lead in some area of our own personal world. When there is no moral leadership in a home or ethnic leadership, no character leadership, we can expect major problems to occur.

The Spirit of Lawlessness

We have seen the spirit of lawlessness arise like never before in Western Nations and other nations.

There is no doubt that a spirit has been released with the purpose of stirring up ethnic and racial hatred. This spirit has been nurtured and fed by the lack of basic moral leadership at governmental levels down through our education system into our homes and families.

With the push to be politically correct, Satan has made huge inroads into our Western society. This has led to the most illogical and ludicrous contradictions we have ever seen.

While we know that God is kind, loving, fair, and just, God also hates sin and will never comprise His standards of righteousness.

The Green Movements around the world are up in arms when trees are cut down and whales are killed, but they are quite OK with murdering babies – they are one of the foremost advocates of abortion. Save the whales and kill the babies.

These absurd contradictions are the result of lawlessness concerning God’s standards. Don’t get me wrong; I believe in saving the whales and trees within reasonable boundaries along with keeping all of God’s standards.

Preparing the way for the Man of Sin

2 THESSALONIANS 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

7. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

This “mystery of iniquity (lawlessness)” is already at work in the world. This is the anti-Christ spirit:

1 JOHN 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

We are going to see the spirit of the Antichrist arise like never before in the world.

Many sectors of the church today have imbibed the Antichrist spirit, denying that Jesus is the Son of God and that Jesus was God manifest in the flesh.

The Archbishop of Canterbury stated that he does not believe that Jesus was the literal Son of God or that Jesus rose from the dead, or that the blood of Jesus has saving power, or that the Bible is inspired and can be taken literally.

This is the Antichrist spirit denying who Christ is. The Apostle John said that when you see many leaders of the church arising with this Antichrist spirit, we know that the end is near:

1 JOHN 2:22  Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist that denieth the Father and the Son.

This spirit of lawlessness we are now seeing is the beginning of a new phase in Satan’s plan to dominate this planet.

However, God said this:

ISAIAH 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. 2. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. 3. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. 4. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. 5. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

God says that in the midst of great darkness the true Church of Jesus Christ will rise like never before in great glory and power. This will trigger the greatest continuous revival the world has ever seen. The abundance of the sea (mankind) will be converted.

This is a time of no compromise, a time when we need to be 100% dedicated to the Lord, a time of perfecting holiness in the fear of the Lord to prepare a way for Him to come.

You can lead or you can follow the crowd. Leadership is the most powerful force entrusted to man. With it, an obscure soldier from Corsica took a bankrupt and war-devastated France and defeated the most powerful nations on earth (Napoleon).

A humble lawyer from India, without firing a shot or holding any military or political position, broke the strength of the greatest empire in the world (Gandhi).

Leadership caused hundreds of people to commit suicide in a religious commune in South America.

The accomplishments of Jesus and his band of followers are some of the most extraordinary examples of leadership ever produced. They turned the then-known world upside down.

Leadership is an awesome force entrusted to us. You must lead the way in holiness and righteousness in your sphere of influence, taking a stand in this present evil world:

ISAIAH 57:14 And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling block out of the way of my people. 15. For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

MATTHEW 3:3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Just as John the Baptist prepared the way of the Lord for the first coming of Jesus with a message of repentance, holiness, and grace, even so, today we must do the same and truly lead in our area of responsibility with grace, truth, holiness, and love.
