Growing our spirit

We grow our spirit through partaking of the divine nature and then exercising in the life of God that we partake of.

The life of God flows out of heaven into our spirit through our first love gate, which speaks of intimacy and then into one of our spirit gates. We have eight spirit gates- fear of God, reverence, prayer, intuition, revelation, faith, hope, worship.

Once our spirit is born again all our spirit gates are opened, but how big the gateway is, is determined by our exercising in the life of God. But we will encounter blockages in our soul because our soul has been conditioned from the outside in. Our soul develops through a combination of nature (DNA programming), nurture (environmental programming) and trauma (experiential programming).

Our soul is our human nature and has grown and developed from the outside in. Our soul has been damaged and fractured and has to be restored to wholeness.

We all have things in our soul-life that need to be cleansed through the blood of Jesus, and healed. We need a literal blood transfusion where the life of God flows through our spirit transforming our soul.

The life of our soul is in our blood and as we eat the body of Jesus and drink his blood we partake of the D.N.A of God. To simplify it, it is divine nature assimilation.

Our spirit is like a womb in which the seed of God was conceived, when our spirit was born again. Within the seed of God is the D.N.A of God. The seed of God will grow into a full grown son of God, but there are things in our heart, in our soul that will hinder the development of the life of God if they are not dealt with.

We have to lose our soul-life (our soul living in independence of God, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil) so that our soul is transformed, so that it no longer acts in independence of God, but comes into submission to the life flow of God in our spirit(the tree of life).

The soul therefore blocks the flow from the spirit. So the dethronement of the self-life is necessary if we want to fulfill our destiny in God.

We have to lose our soul in order to keep it into eternal life.

The life of God flows out of heaven into the first love gate in our spirit and then into our spirit gates.

Our spirit has senses and these senses become gateways in which the life of God flows into our soul and then our body.

Our spiritual senses are activated through the infilling of the Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is pictured as the river of life which flows from the throne of God out of heaven into our spirit so that our spirit becomes aware of the flowing of God’s life into it.

As our spirit senses the life flow of God into one of its gateways that gateway gets bigger and bigger because it becomes a pathway in which we walk with God.

When we are baptized in the Holy Spirit the gateway of worship in our spirit becomes active where we can worship God in our spirit. Worship is the submission and yielding of our spirit in surrender to God where we begin to experience the presence of God as we learn how to worship him.

Although worship is more than just singing and lifting our hands to God, this gateway is usually open and enlarged through our engagement and participation in the worship service we go to in our local church.

When we surrender the whole of our life to the lord and worship him with all our heart we encounter the presence of God. In worship we experience God, we taste of the goodness of God and our spirit desires more and more, motivating us to continue worshiping the lord and it becomes a pathway in which we engage God and then it becomes a lifestyle, so that by an act of our will, we set our spirit to worship and we encounter God. The gateway of worship in our spirit is open and flowing and we are enabled to encounter God through the initiative of our spirit.

We want all the gateways of our spirit open and flowing. We know they are open and flowing when we can experience God at the imitative of our will, the turning of our spirit toward Him, where we can tune into Him and become aware of him.

Another sense of the spirit that is developed in most believers is the revelation gate in their spirit. Because they share their faith with others, the revelation of the Holy Spirit flows through them as they minister to others. The Holy Spirit gives them words to say and they can sense the presence of God in their words as they witness to others.

Because they practice sharing the gospel, revelation becomes a pathway that they walk in. They will to have a word from the lord, and they can begin to tune in prophetically and the revelation of the Holy Spirit is released through the words they speak.

We need to get all the gateways of our spirit open and flowing with the life of God, so that our spirit is built up and becomes strong, so that we can begin to deal with the gateways of our soul.

We go through each gateway of the spirit one at a time until they become developed and become a pathway we can walk in. Unless we get the life of God flowing into our spirit where we can be aware of it, we will not be able to deal with the contrary things that may still be operating in our soul.

Once our spirit experiences an attribute of God, it then has the ability to tune into it again. As we learn how to practice the presence of God, our awareness of the Holy Spirit will begin to increase.

Our spiritual senses are developed through practice. Our growth in God is a participation in His divine nature.
