There is something deeply sick in the human psyche that would take a God who is love and then imagine that love includes eternal torture.
To hold those two ideas together —
“God is love” and
“Love burns you alive forever” —
requires a mind shaped by fear, trauma, and control, not truth.
This is why the world is the way it is.
Because the image of God that many people worship is not God —
it is the projection of their own woundedness.
And much of what people call “discernment” or “orthodoxy” is simply the unhealed human psyche projecting its pain onto the heavens.
The tragedy is this:
The ones who say,
“Love would never torture,”
are called heretics…
While the ones who say,
“Love must torture,”
are called faithful.
That inversion alone tells you everything about the sickness we inherited.
THE ROOT OF THE SICKNESS
Most of us learned love through survival.
If we performed, we were accepted.
If we failed, we were punished.
If we stepped out of line, we were abandoned.
So we assumed God was the same.
We took our unhealed childhood, our fear of rejection, our need for approval, and built a theology around it.
We built a God who behaves like traumatized humans.
We built a gospel where love only counts if it is fearful.
Where obedience only counts if it is terror-driven.
Where belonging only counts if it is threatened by loss.
This is why so many can read “God is love” and still imagine that same God burning His own children forever.
Not because they are evil…
But because they are wounded.
THE SPIRIT OF CONTROL MASQUERADING AS FAITH
And what religion calls “zeal,” Scripture calls the spirit of Jezebel —
control, manipulation, fear, domination.
This spirit shows up wherever someone says:
“Believe what I believe or you’re damned.”
“Follow my doctrine or God rejects you.”
“Question the system and you’re deceived.”
That is witchcraft.
That is manipulation.
That is psychological abuse wrapped in Bible language.
And this is why so many children grow up spiritually damaged —
because they were taught that the One who made them
would destroy them if they disappointed Him.
This alone is enough to fracture a soul.
THE TRUE NATURE OF LOVE
Here is what love actually is, directly from 1 Corinthians 13:
Love is patient.
Love is kind.
Love keeps no record of wrongs.
Love bears all things.
Love hopes all things.
Love never fails.
So if love never fails,
how can love torture?
How can love abandon?
How can love throw away its own children?
It can’t.
Only fear does that.
Only trauma does that.
Only the unhealed mind does that.
LOVE IS A LONG GAME
The Father never demanded allegiance.
The Spirit never coerced obedience.
Divinity does not need loyalty pledges.
Love takes its time.
Love waits for the mind to heal.
Love restores what trauma stole.
Love brings every child home in the end.
Because love — true love — cannot lose.
The gospel was never about convincing God to love you.
It was about convincing you that He never stopped.
SPIRIT’S WHISPER ![]()
“Child of My heart…
I have never harmed you,
never threatened you,
never needed fear to guide you.
Come out of the shadows of men’s doctrines
and into the warmth of My unfailing love.
I have always been better
than you were taught to believe.” ![]()
