We were raised to chase what we lacked.
If we wanted love, we chased someone who could give it to us.
If we wanted wholeness, we chased a relationship.
If we wanted belonging, we chased community.
But no one ever told us the truth:
You cannot receive externally what you have not become internally.
Religion told us to deny ourselves, but never taught us how to heal ourselves.
It told us to crucify desires, but never told us how to cultivate the inner world where true desire lives.
And the Spirit had to teach me this the hard way:
You do not chase what you desire — you become it.
Because desire is not external.
Desire is a mirror of your inner state.
And whatever you are internally, you will inevitably attract externally.
THE PSYCHOLOGY OF THE KINGDOM (NOT THE RELIGION OF IT) ![]()
The entire journey is psychological before it is theological.
The gospel is not a system of belief — it’s a transformation of consciousness.
The Bible is not a book of behavior — it’s a book of identity.
Renewing the mind
Restoring awareness
Returning to origin
Coming home to the I AM
Your original state is not striving.
Your original state is not fear.
Your original state is not external validation.
Your origin is rest.
Your origin is wholeness.
Your origin is love.
Everything else is conditioning.
When you build identity from trauma, from performance, from fear, from optics —
you must continually perform to maintain it.
But when identity is restored by Spirit, anchored in the eternal “I AM,”
nothing can shake it.
Nothing can threaten it.
Nothing can distort it.
THE WOUND OF THE CHILD — AND THE RETURN TO WONDER ![]()
I wasn’t raised with safety.
I was raised in chaos —
abuse, trauma, instability, addiction, danger.
Cigarette burns.
Beer forced down my throat.
Drug dealers breaking into our house.
Moving constantly because my parents owed people money.
I learned early:
The world is unsafe.
People are dangerous.
Life is pain.
That belief shaped my entire universe.
But the Spirit did what religion never could:
The Spirit took me back.
Back to the wounded child.
Back to the fear.
Back to the memories.
Back to the places I buried.
And the Spirit didn’t shame me.
The Spirit reframed me.
What was shattered was put back together.
What was scattered was gathered.
What was terrified was comforted.
The inner child wasn’t rejected —
he was restored.
And with restoration came the return of wonder.
Curiosity.
Playfulness.
Imagination.
Joy.
Awe.
The very qualities Jesus said define the Kingdom.
THE ILLUMINATION THAT DESTROYS ALL FEAR ![]()
I encountered something so real, so undeniable, so profound
that it cannot be explained
— only experienced.
Religion collapses in the presence of Spirit.
Fear evaporates in the presence of Love.
Hell dissolves in the presence of Truth.
And in that illumination, I saw:
I had always been.
I will always be.
I am eternal.
Not someday — now.
This is why Scripture says eternity is in the heart.
Because eternity is not location —
it is awareness.
People don’t fear hell in the future.
They are living in hell now.
Hell is a consciousness.
Hell is separation.
Hell is trauma unhealed.
Hell is identity forgotten.
That’s why:
“The way of the wise is upward, that he may depart from hell beneath.”
Wisdom lifts you out of hell in the present moment.
Not after death — now.
WHY PEOPLE NEED A FUTURE HELL ![]()
The ones who insist on a future hell
do so because they haven’t forgiven the past.
They need someone punished
because they haven’t released their own pain.
They need eternal torment
because they still carry torment within.
They need a God who destroys
because they haven’t allowed Love to destroy the false self in them.
Anyone who believes in eternal torture
still has a place inside them capable of torture.
But when illumination comes?
When union comes?
When Spirit restores everything you thought you were?
You cannot harm anyone.
You cannot condemn anyone.
You cannot sit in superiority over anyone.
You cannot wish hell on anyone.
Because your nature becomes
LOVE.
And judgment transforms from punishment
to restoration.
Judgment becomes seeing people
as their created value,
not their conditioned behavior.
BECOMING THE DESIRE ![]()
Love is not something you chase.
It is something you remember.
Wholeness is not something you find.
It is something you uncover.
Identity is not something you earn.
It is something you awaken to.
When you become what you seek,
what you seek appears.
When you embody love,
love finds you.
When you possess your soul,
your soul guides you.
And when you return to your original self —
the eternal, innocent, childlike, divine self —
you finally become what you once desperately chased.
SPIRIT’S WHISPER ![]()
“Beloved, you were never lacking.
You were only forgetting.
Become what you desire,
and you will see that it was always you
returning to yourself.”
By Keith Brown
