For thousands of years, every mystical tradition recognized a fifth element beyond earth, water, air, and fire.
The Greeks called it Aether.
The Hebrews called it Ruach (breath, spirit, wind).
Tesla called it the energy in the air.
Modern physics calls it the field.
Jesus called it Spirit.
Paul described it as “the One in whom we live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17:28)
It is the substance that fills the space between all things.
It is the space within space.
The life within matter.
The breath within breath.
It is God.
THE ORIGINAL MEANING OF THE MIDDLE FINGER — ETHER
Long before modern culture twisted it into an insult, the middle finger represented:
The Fifth Element
Unity
The bridge between heaven and earth
The central channel of the body (the sushumna, the tree of life)
The ancients used it in symbolic practices to represent the etheric field, the unseen energy that connects all things.
Religion did the same thing it always does:
It demonizes whatever it doesn’t understand.
It curses what is actually sacred.
TESLA AND THE AIR FULL OF GOD
Tesla didn’t just discover electricity —
he discovered that the “empty air” is not empty at all.
He knew everything was filled with:
charge
energy
vibration
resonance
He was touching the edges of the same thing Paul said:
“Christ holds all things together.” (Col. 1:17)
And the same thing Jesus said:
“The wind (Spirit) blows where it wills…” — John 3:8
The air is alive.
The field is alive.
The atmosphere is saturated with God.
A fish doesn’t know it’s in water.
A human doesn’t know they’re in God.
Until the moment awareness awakens.
THE OMNIPRESENCE THEY NEVER TAUGHT YOU
You were raised — like most of us — with the picture of God:
on a throne
far away
watching
judging
separate
But omnipresence means:
If God is everywhere, then God is here.
If God is in all, then God is in you.
If God holds all things together, then nothing exists outside God.
You cannot step outside the Presence.
You cannot breathe a breath that is not God’s breath.
You cannot move one inch outside the field of Christ.
“For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things.”
(Romans 11:36)
This isn’t poetry.
It’s physics.
It’s metaphysics.
It’s incarnation.
BREATHWORK — THE LOST SACRAMENT
People think breathwork is “New Age.”
No — it’s the oldest spiritual practice on earth.
Why?
Because breath is the gateway to ether.
When you breathe consciously:
Your awareness returns to this moment.
The mind quiets.
The ego softens.
The nervous system resets.
The veil thins.
And suddenly you feel what was always true:
You are breathing God,
and God is breathing you.
This is why Scripture says:
“He breathed into Adam and he became a living soul.”
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”
“You cannot be separated from the love of God.”
Because breath is God.
Separation is impossible.
CHRIST — THE SUBSTANCE OF ALL THINGS
Paul takes it even further:
“All things were made through Him, by Him, and in Him.”
(Col. 1:16)
Not some things.
All.
Every atom.
Every sound wave.
Every cell.
Every star.
Every breath.
Every element.
Every dimension.
Everything is made of Christ, not just by Christ.
Christ is not simply the carpenter —
Christ is the wood, the tree, the forest, the soil, the air, and the breath that sustains it all.
Christ is the etheric field.
Christ is the life within life.
Christ is the infinite depth in which existence rests.
Spirit’s Whisper ![]()
“Breathe, and remember the One you inhale.
The air around you is the Presence within you.
You are never outside of Me —
for I am the breath that lives you.”
By Keith Brown
