Flames of fire

Hebrews 1:7 And of the angels He says: “Who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire.” NKJ

This is a bad translation; the word angels in the Greek is angelos and means- a messenger. It is referring to us.

Hebrews 1: 7 ‘Who is making His messengers spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire- Young’s literal translation.

Many Christians have been baptized in the Holy Spirit but not fire. God is restoring the baptism of fire to those who seek Him with all their heart.

You see, when Jesus becomes King in our lives, truly King, then all the glories of His kingly manifestations are brought forth in us.

Jesus Christ, who is the express image of God according to Hebrews 1:3, has come to our human weaknesses in order to change them, and us, into a divine likeness, so that by the power of His might, we may not only overcome, but rejoice in the fact that we are more than overcomers.

The important point of this message is that the Holy Spirit has come to make Jesus’ king.

The seed, the DNA of God was planted in our spirit when we received Jesus as Lord, which is an eternal seed, which has such resurrection power that I see a New Creation rising from it with kingly qualities.

When we are baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire, it is to crown Jesus King in our lives.

The baptism of the Spirit and fire has come for nothing less than to possess the whole of our lives. It sets up Jesus as King, and nothing can stand in His holy presence when He is made King. Everything not like Him will melt before Him.

We must be burning and shining lights to reflect such a holy Jesus.

You see, his servants are to be flames.

The inheritance of the Spirit is given to every believer, not just to preachers, not just to missionaries, but to every man and woman who has received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire.

1 Corinthians 1:7 says, we should come short in no gift. Did you hear that?

A flame of fire. It is a perpetual fire, a constant fire, a continual burning, a holy, inward flame, which is exactly what God’s Son was in the world.

His ministers must be flames of fire. When people encounter you, they should sense that there’s something different, something supernatural.

Something that sets you apart from the lukewarm masses who call themselves Christians but have no power.

Here’s what grieves me about the modern church. Too many believers are satisfied with just getting to heaven. They want fire insurance from hell, but they don’t want to live as flames of fire on earth.

They want Jesus as savior, but they refuse to make him king. They want the benefits of salvation, but they won’t pay the price of total surrender.

You have been filled with the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead.

So, I challenge you today, beloved, Will you live as a flame of fire for God? Will you step out of the mediocrity that has paralyzed most of the Church?

When sickness attacks your household, be a flame of fire.

When your neighbor faces an impossible diagnosis, be a flame of fire.

When your workplace needs a miracle, be a flame of fire.

When your family needs breakthrough, be a flame of fire.

When your community cries out for revival, be a flame of fire.

The time for playing church is over, beloved. The time for spiritual games and religious entertainment has passed. The world is groaning under the weight of darkness, disease, depression, and despair.

They need to encounter believers who carry the flame of God’s power, not just the smoke of religious tradition.

You have everything you need right now to live as a flame of fire. You don’t need more teaching, more conferences, more books, more seminars.

You need to activate what you already possess. You need to exercise the authority that Jesus has already given you. You need to step into the inheritance that is already yours.

Let us pray, Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that you have made your ministers to be flames of fire.

We confess that too often we have lived beneath our spiritual inheritance, shrinking back when you called us to step forward in power. We have been satisfied with smoke when you called us to be flames. We have been content with mediocrity when you designed us for supernatural living.

Holy Spirit, ignite within us that divine flame that burns away every excuse, every fear, every doubt that keeps us from manifesting your glory.

Melt us until a new order rises within us, until we are moved with your compassion and empowered with your authority.

We declare that Jesus is King in our lives, and by His authority, we will no longer be silent spectators when the devil attacks.

We will be more than conquerors. We will lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. We will cast out devils in Jesus’ name. We will speak life into dead situations.

Light us up, Holy Spirit, until we become burning and shining lights that reflect our Holy Jesus to a dying world.

Let the power that raised Jesus from the dead flow through us with such force that the impossible becomes possible wherever we go.

We refuse spiritual mediocrity. We embrace our calling as flames of fire, make us perpetual fires, constant fires, a continual burning, holy inward flames that will never be extinguished. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
