God’s love transforms us; it changes us and brings us into His image. The power of His love is grace; it heals us, restores us and makes us whole.
Grace is the flow of His Spirit into our spirit setting us free from bondages, blockages, the prisons in our souls, where our minds, emotions, and wills, are being held captive.
The inflowing of His Spirit sets us free from anything that’s hindering us or holding us back from being who God has created us to be. It sets us free from anything that is hindering the out-working of our destiny.
Our identity is found in His love. Our value, worth, and esteem is found in His acceptance of us.
We can experience the presence of His love and come into alignment with it, we can be embraced with it and it will change us and transform us if we let it.
God won’t ever force His love on us. He gives us the opportunity to choose to receive it and to accept it. If we receive God’s love it will begin to interpenetrate us and then we can be a channel for that love, so that His love doesn’t remain trapped inside of us but flows out through us.
We can only radiate through us what we receive through our personal experience. We have to learn how to receive the correction of love.
We need to draw close to God so that we can experience the intimacy of His love. We need to get the Fathers heart and go heart-to-heart with Him, deep to deep with Him, in order to engage in the transformation process.
And that’s why God is calling us into a relationship which goes deeper, so we can experience a relationship that can enable us to be transformed and changed.
Proverbs 23:7 as a man thinketh in his heart so is he.
How we think about ourselves and what our thinking is aligned to, determines who we are.
If we open our spirit to God for His Spirit to flow in, then we get His heart for us. We get His thoughts about us and then we can become like those thoughts. God wants to reveal to us those things which will enable us to be who we really are.
God wants to engage us and embrace us so that we can be transformed by the frequency of His heart
As we learn how to be filled with the Spirit, we experience who God is, we experience those things which express who God is, then those things can be radiated from our heart and can impact those around us and impact the world to bring transformation to it.
We can be intimately connected to the heart and mind of God which will change what flows out of us.
In order to go deeper into the heart of God we need to embrace the discipline of His love. We need to allow His Spirit to search our heart; we need to embrace the discipline of the Lord. Whom the lord loves He reproves and chastens.
When we receive correction and discipline through repentance we are opening the door to a more intimate relationship. And the result of intimacy is ruler-ship.
When we respond correctly we get to rule. We get to overcome all obstacles, of everything in our way and we get to operate on a throne.
We need the correct understanding of love. Love equals reproof and discipline. We shouldn’t think oh no. We should say oh yes. We cannot equate discipline with punishment because it isn’t. Discipline is training, confirmation and transformation. It is equipping us, it is encouraging us and supporting us, it’s strengthening us.
We have had a negative perspective on repentance, oh no I have done something wrong, and therefore I need to repent.
We need to see repentance through the eyes of our Father. We need to see the why of repentance? Why does God want us to repent? When we see the result of repentance is Rulership, then we will have a different perspective on it.
We need to discover how repentance is outworked in our life so that we can be zealous and passionate about it.
Repent! Why? For the kingdom of God is at hand! We are inheriting a Kingdom. We cannot be a king if we don’t have a kingdom to rule. The outworking of repentance leads to ruler-ship. The spirit of the king is inside us, and as repentance is outworked in our life we will sit upon His throne and rule and reign with Him.
God has to grant us repentance; it is the impartation of His Spirit.;
Repentance is the changing our mind through the influence of His Spirit, by turning from something and turning to God, so that when we look to God and behold His glory it is transferred to us.
So whenever we look at God, it causes us to change our mind about how we view ourselves and to turn away from that old ways of thinking, those old behavior patterns, and we turn to Him to be transformed, we get changed into His image and this is the correction that love brings.
Repentance is course correction; we are on a pathway of intimacy and transformation. Repentance accelerates our growth.
Love brings transformation and change, love heals and restore’s. So embracing His loving discipline is a privilege, this is what it means to be a disciple. We are a disciple of His love.
Receiving correction helps us to be transformed and that’s preparation for even deeper intimacy, because the closer we get to God the more we can be changed and the more we are changed the closer we can get to God.
And we can get closer and closer, deeper and deeper the more we allow Him to change us. The more He changes us the more it creates the desire for intimacy. This motivates us to choose every day to open that first love gate and engage first love.
By turning away from the other sources of things in our lives and focusing on the major source of life God himself we can develop a desire for intimacy. The reward of intimacy is ruler ship, we overcome and we rule on thrones and that’s our responsibility as joint heirs with Christ in the kingdom.
There are things in our soul that separate us from experiencing the love of God and it is through repentance that we are enabled to remove those blockages.
Revelation 3: 19As many as I love, I rebuke (occurring now, to convict, to bring to the light, make manifest what is hidden, to expose) and chasten (to bring up a child, to educate, to train children, to be instructed or taught or learn, to influence conscious will and action: be zealous (command to begin this moment, filled with zeal, to be zealous in the pursuit of, actively and completely enthusiastic) therefore, and repent(from metá denoting change of place or condition, and noéō, to exercise the mind, think, comprehend) 20Behold, this is a word used to express strong emotion, calling attention to something, Look!) I stand (to cause to be in a place or position, to position oneself)at (Of place)the door( an entrance, way or passage into), and knock( occurring right now, strike loudly at the door for entrance) : if any man hear( an action subject to a condition, , to listen to someone and pay attention)my voice, and open the door, I will come in(motion into, enter) to him, and will sup (to eat or dine, provide dinner, a banquet, a big meal, a feast, a celebratory meal, something that provides a great deal of pleasure) with him, and he with me. 21To him that overcometh(continuous action, to overwhelm in combat becoming superior, To be victorious)will I grant (To give, bestow upon, impart ,to adventure into)to sit(aorist infinitive, specific point in time, not future, to cause to sit down, to place) with (implying accompaniment, something that occurs at the same and in the same place as something else, as where one is said to be) me in (primary idea of rest, intimate union with)my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
The word repent in the Greek is metanoeo-it consists of two word 1) meta- it means close association, it speaks of fellowship. 2-it speaks of motion into the middle or the midst of something, it speaks of motion after a person so as to follow and be with. 3-it speaks of change, transition, the alteration of a position.
The second word is noeo -which means to perceive with thought coming into the consciousness. It is translated as- mind, think, understand, consider.
The command to repent-is the entrance of the word into our spirit producing an understanding. Repentance is the result of the word being revealed by the Spirit, producing a willingness to separate from the thing revealed, a willingness to change.
Repentance is a gift; it is the entrance of the Spirit of God into our spirit causing us to see through God’s eyes, it is part of our fellowship with Lord, in being led by His Spirit.
It is a course correction in our journey with the Lord coming into alignment with our destiny.
Repentance occurs through opening our spirit to the Lord in first love.
