See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles (elementary spirits) of the world, rather than according to Christ. For in Him all the fulness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority. Colossians 2:8–10.
What a tremendous force God has turned loose in the universe! To illustrate the greatness of that force, God asked Job, Canst thou bind the sweet influences of the Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? Job 38:31. The solar systems of stars in the outer reaches of space are a constant source of inquiry. If the force that God has turned loose in the natural world will pass away, do you have any comprehension of the greatness of that which God has turned loose toward you?
The Apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesians, so that they might know the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe.… which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand.… and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. Ephesians 1:19–23. Who can comprehend that? Who can understand the force that Christ turned loose when He said, “This is My body; this is a new covenant in My blood.” He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. The Father made Him to be Head over all things to the Church, which is His Body. His believers are to be the fullness of Him who fills all things.
Colossians 2:10 says, “In Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority.” Are you living in your full potential—physically, mentally, and spiritually? You may need to sense that the Lord loves you very much and that He made a great provision for you. You may need to continually jar yourself out of a self-imposed conviction that you are a pauper, that you are defeated, and that you are struggling along. It is true that there is a duality in your nature to deal with; but you can crucify the old nature, and you can emphasize that which God wants you to have. You do not need to struggle to attain a commitment on God’s part; He has already done that. “God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself” (II Corinthians 5:19).
Anything that is out of harmony in your life is a result of not applying what you can have. One of the best means of appropriation is available in the provision of the Communion. When you partake of it, receive what God has for you in faith. If you have touched only a small portion of the depth of the riches of His grace and His divine provision, be angry toward whatever hindrances lie in your way. Whether they are self-imposed or satanically imposed, seek to have them removed. Like the Apostle Paul, struggle to lay hold, to apprehend that for which you were apprehended by Christ Jesus. God has something great in mind which He is setting before you. Be constrained to walk in it fully.
You have no one to blame if you are not walking in the Word that the Lord has given you to follow. If you have been exposed to the teaching and the ministry of divine revelation that God is bringing forth through an anointed Word, you ought to be stirred in your spirit to lay hold upon more. God is committing much to those who really want to walk with Him in this hour.
It may seem difficult to break loose from some of your problems and to get out from under certain limitations and restrictions. There may be reservations in your commitment and dedication; but if you really want to do the will of the Lord, those reservations and restrictions of your old nature can be overcome. No habit, no circumstance, no relationship, no necessity, no limitation (physical, financial, spiritual, or mental) can stand as a valid hindrance against the fullness of God being yours.
You are commanded to be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19). In order to do it, arm yourself, like a demolition squad, with the truths and the ideas that God is speaking to His people in this hour. When you are being overwhelmed by miserable thoughts of defeat, inadequacy, and limitation, blow up those thoughts by continually setting your mind upon the things that are lovely and that which is of a good report. Anything in your life can be changed if you are willing to go through a drastic procedure of faith and God’s dealings. Commit yourself to the Lord and say, “Lord, my life is going to change! It is going to change!”
Let the body and the blood of the Lord Jesus minister to you in a special, unique way. As a handmaiden or a bondservant of the Lord Jesus Christ, claim to be free. Do not accept limitations. There is a way to move into the fullness that the Lord has endowed upon you so graciously. Without ignoring or denying your problems or failures or sins, you can acknowledge the stream of grace that flows by the blood of Jesus Christ in deep repentance, especially for your unbelief. Press in to partake of all that God has set before you. It is not enough to be forgiven of sin: you must partake completely of His righteousness.
In order to see something happen in your life, more than just an escape from the negative, learn to fully walk in His fullness. Make that great step of faith into it through the regenerative, transforming power that the Lord Jesus is extending toward you.
