The Bible is a love story.
Everything that God says to us and does in us is with utmost intentionality. We are the center of His affection; we are the glorious bride of Christ!
Romance is at the heart of all that God has purposed. God is an incurable romantic. Romance is at the heart of everything that He is, and everything that He does, to provide a glorious bride for His son.
Loving intimacy is His sole intention, to produce an eternal companion for his son Jesus, our Lord. This bride should be glorious and greatly beloved, deeply affected by the heart and affection of our lord for her.
To understand intention, we cannot separate it from romance. The purpose of the bride is to become the beloved of God.
Knowing that we are deeply loved by the Lord will bring great joy to His heart. He is incomplete without us, whether you believe it or not. This is who we are individually and collectively, we are the bride of Christ.
The purpose of women in the earth is to be adored. When women are loved properly, when they are treated with honor, and dignity and respect, the earth is civilized and safe.
When women are used and disgraced, then cultures crumble and countries become degenerate and violent. This is why the bride of Christ must openly oppose things like the sex-slave trade, prostitution, pornography. The place of those things in the earth is a violation of romance. It is a violation of the creation of our planet. We cannot coexist with things like that; it is a violation of God’s eternal purpose.
Everything that God does is good, but there was one thing that He did that He recognized was not enough. He looked at man and said it is not good for man to be alone.
Men need someone to adore, to love beyond themselves. It is how we are designed. When that passion is not directed at a bride, then our purpose gets bent out of shape and focus and we become domineering, controlling, focused on power and not passion and then the world becomes worse off.
So, the reason we were created, at the heart of all things is Romance. The Bible is a love story. The beginning of scripture, “Gen 1” and God created mankind, male and female He created them. This is one of the first things we read, God created man and woman.
In the last chapter of Scripture, we read, the Spirit and the Bride say come. Everything between those two references is about love. It is about being loved and learning to love. It is all about becoming love, this is our primary destiny. Everything between those two references is about becoming the beloved and becoming the bride.
Intentionality is about intimacy and romance. Prophecy is history written in advance. And the final outcome in scripture, the finished product of all the ages is the spotless bride of Christ.
From before the foundation of the world until the dawn of eternal ages, God has been working towards one grand event, one supreme end, the glorious wedding of his son.
Of the first Adam God said, that it is not good for man to be alone. So, He put him into a deep sleep, a trance and He took out a rib on his left side, I believe, right by his heart and he built a woman.
Then we find Jesus on the cross and a spear opened up His side and out comes the woman of His dreams, the bride of Christ.
We have no choice in this, we must become the beloved, it is so important and imperative to the earth, let alone just for us. The bride of Christ needs to rise up; millions of people need to go on this journey of becoming the beloved of God in their daily life.
Jesus hanging on the cross literally dying to bring about His bride, His beloved. This is the only proof men have that they are in love, is that they lay down their life for the one they adore. Giving of themselves to discover beauty and romance, unselfish love.
God is calling us into that place of romance and intentionality. The intention of Jesus is that this glorious woman would be the primary object of His love and would sit by His side forever to share His authority and His power.
It is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom. To be given a kingdom is actually to be made a king. To be invested with authority over a kingdom takes us into a place of spirituality from which we govern in and through our own lives.
So, we cannot think of ourselves outside of glory, outside of royalty, we can’t think that glory only belongs to Jesus, and that we can’t share in it because that’s not in His heart.
He shares His glory with His beloved, so how can we not be touched by it, how can we not be glorious. We are his glorious bride so how can we not be touched by glory. It is our job; it is our role to be touched by the glory of the Lord. He makes everything glorious, including us.
He said the glory that you have given me I have given them. Oh, how our life is going to change, when we realize that God wants to be unceasingly magnificent towards us, it is his utmost intentionality.
We are to approach life all day, every day believing that God can only be unceasingly magnificent toward us. The bride needs to be continually talking about her beloved. The bride needs to be constantly listening to the heart of the bridegroom. She needs to be constantly declaring this is who I am, I am the beloved of God, I am the highly favored one, I am the glorious companion of the king raised up to sit with him, I am royalty! it is my destiny to rule alongside of Him. I am the greatly beloved, I AM THE BRIDE KING, how can I not but CONTINUALLY WORSHIP HIM?
