Fellowship with Holy Spirit is second in the five fellowship with God in the Bible. Fellowship in the Gospel, is the entry into fellowship with God.
We CAN have a Fellowship with the Person of the Holy Spirit. Fellowship with Holy Spirit is wonderful, for Holy Spirit is our comforter, our teacher, resurrection life flows out of Him, the anointing comes through Him, power comes through Him.
PHILIPPIANS 2:1 THEREFORE IF THERE IS ANY CONSOLATION IN CHRIST, IF ANY COMFORT OF LOVE, IF ANY FELLOWSHIP OF THE SPIRIT, IF ANY AFFECTION AND MERCY,
Fellowship with Holy Spirit Grows through our Personal Prayer Language. When we use our prayer language, we are praying with the spirit. Praying with the spirit strengthens our relationship with Holy Spirit.
1 CORINTHIANS 14:14-15 FOR IF I PRAY IN A TONGUE, MY SPIRIT PRAYS, BUT MY UNDERSTANDING IS UNFRUITFUL. WHAT IS THE CONCLUSION THEN? I WILL PRAY WITH THE SPIRIT, AND I WILL ALSO PRAY WITH THE UNDERSTANDING. I WILL SING WITH THE SPIRIT, AND I WILL ALSO SING WITH THE UNDERSTANDING.
Fellowship Grows by Walking in the Spirit
GALATIANS 5:16 I SAY THEN: WALK IN THE SPIRIT, AND YOU SHALL NOT FULFILL THE LUST OF THE FLESH.

We receive Gifts of the Holy Spirit
1 CORINTHIANS 12:7-11 BUT THE MANIFESTATION OF THE SPIRIT IS GIVEN TO EACH ONE FOR THE PROFIT OF ALL: FOR TO ONE IS GIVEN THE WORD OF WISDOM THROUGH THE SPIRIT, TO ANOTHER THE WORD OF KNOWLEDGE THROUGH THE SAME SPIRIT, TO ANOTHER FAITH BY THE SAME SPIRIT, TO ANOTHER GIFTS OF HEALINGS BY THE SAME SPIRIT, TO ANOTHER THE WORKING OF MIRACLES, TO ANOTHER PROPHECY, TO ANOTHER DISCERNING OF SPIRITS, TO ANOTHER DIFFERENT KINDS OF TONGUES, TO ANOTHER THE INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES. BUT ONE AND THE SAME SPIRIT WORKS ALL THESE THINGS, DISTRIBUTING TO EACH ONE INDIVIDUALLY AS HE WILLS.
We receive the Fruit of the Holy Spirit The more time we spend in fellowship with the Holy Spirit, the more we will become like Him. We begin to learn how to tune into God and His life flows through His Spirit in to our heart, so that we can tune into the fruit of the Spirit by an act of our will.
GALATIANS 5:22-23 BUT THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS LOVE, JOY, PEACE, LONGSUFFERING, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS, SELF-CONTROL. AGAINST SUCH THERE IS NO LAW.
The Holy Spirit will be your Helper
JOHN 16:7 NEVERTHELESS I TELL YOU THE TRUTH. IT IS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE THAT I GO AWAY; FOR IF I DO NOT GO AWAY, THE HELPER WILL NOT COME TO YOU; BUT IF I DEPART, I WILL SEND HIM TO YOU.
The Holy Spirit brings Power.
ACTS 1:8 BUT YOU SHALL RECEIVE POWER WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS COME UPON YOU; AND YOU SHALL BE WITNESSES TO ME IN JERUSALEM, AND IN ALL JUDEA AND SAMARIA, AND TO THE END OF THE EARTH.”
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, to bring you out of deception.
JOHN 16:13 HOWEVER, WHEN HE, THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, HAS COME, HE WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH; FOR HE WILL NOT SPEAK ON HIS OWN AUTHORITY, BUT WHATEVER HE HEARS HE WILL SPEAK; AND HE WILL TELL YOU THINGS TO COME
The Holy Spirit is Jealous over us, One of the main things Holy Spirit will do is protect you from being taken over by worldliness.
JAMES 4:4-6 ADULTERERS AND ADULTERESSES! DO YOU NOT KNOW THAT FRIENDSHIP WITH THE WORLD IS ENMITY WITH GOD? WHOEVER THEREFORE WANTS TO BE A FRIEND OF THE WORLD MAKES HIMSELF AN ENEMY OF GOD. OR DO YOU THINK THAT THE SCRIPTURE SAYS IN VAIN, “THE SPIRIT WHO DWELLS IN US YEARNS JEALOUSLY”? BUT HE GIVES MORE GRACE. THEREFORE HE SAYS: “GOD RESISTS THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.”
The Holy Spirit wants to make you into a friend of God, not an enemy of God through worldliness.
What we need to be concerned about is the Risk of Power bringing Spiritual Pride. The risk is that we enjoy the power of Holy Spirit more than Fellowship with Holy Spirit
Many people are Pentecostal. They think they have “arrived”. Yet they have not yet experienced the feast of Tabernacles, which refers to fellowship with the Father, living under an open heaven.
It is so sad when Pentecostals think they have arrived. There are three feasts: Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles. It is so sad to hear this and shows a weakness of spiritual pride. They are not prepared to learn that Pentecost is only the second experience we have of being fill with the Holy Spirit and that God’s original intention is to have sons and daughters, which we cannot really comprehend until we come into tabernacling with God.
We are called to grow from glory to glory. I believe in the power of the Holy Spirit, I speak in different tongues, I have seen miracles. But Jesus warns us:
MATTHEW 7:22-23 MANY WILL SAY TO ME IN THAT DAY, ‘LORD, LORD, HAVE WE NOT PROPHESIED IN YOUR NAME, CAST OUT DEMONS IN YOUR NAME, AND DONE MANY WONDERS IN YOUR NAME?’ AND THEN I WILL DECLARE TO THEM, ‘I NEVER KNEW YOU; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS!’
This does not mean that they are not saved, but they first have to go through the consuming fire of God and have exposed to them, that all the things they did in God are burned up because their motivation was not pure. Some refer to it and the bible does as outer darkness, which just means that the darkness in their life has to be exposed before they can enter into heaven and be cleansed and healed in the river of life.
Unfortunately, some “Pentecostal” or “Charismatic” churches have camped at the fellowship of the Holy Spirit and have become just as (and sometimes more) religious than the churches they think they are better than.
Fellowship with Holy Spirit is the second fellowship we enter into, after Fellowship in the Gospel. There are Five fellowships identified in the New Testament.
Fellowship of the gospel teaches us forgiveness and welcomes us into the Family of God.
The Holy Spirit as the spirit of adoption causes us to recognize God as our Father.
Fellowship with Holy Spirit keeps us filled and introduces us to moving in the power of God.
What we need now is fellowship with the Son, which we will learn in another message.
