Passover, Pentecost and the Day of Atonement were feasts to be followed to obey the law. When Jesus Christ died and rose again He fulfilled all the requirements of the Old Testament law concerning the feasts.
Jesus Fulfils the Passover Lamb. The Passover was a Shadow of Jesus’ Victory Over Sin and Death by His Blood.
EXODUS 12:13 NOW THE BLOOD SHALL BE A SIGN FOR YOU ON THE HOUSES WHERE YOU ARE. AND WHEN I SEE THE BLOOD, I WILL PASS OVER YOU; AND THE PLAGUE SHALL NOT BE ON YOU TO DESTROY YOU WHEN I STRIKE THE LAND OF EGYPT. 1 CORINTHIANS 15:56 THE STING OF DEATH IS SIN, AND THE STRENGTH OF SIN IS THE LAW.
Jesus is the Passover Lamb of God.
Before God made the foundation of the world, He had planned for Jesus to be the perfect sacrifice to end all sacrifices. So, when God made man in His image, He gave him free will. Therefore, it was no surprise to God that man would disobey Him which is part of what we call sin.
REVELATION 13:8 ALL WHO DWELL ON THE EARTH WILL WORSHIP HIM, WHOSE NAMES HAVE NOT BEEN WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE OF THE LAMB SLAIN FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.
Jesus Takes Away the Sin of the World.
JOHN 1:29 THE NEXT DAY JOHN SAW JESUS COMING TOWARD HIM, AND SAID, “BEHOLD! THE LAMB OF GOD WHO TAKES AWAY THE SIN OF THE UNIVERSE-HEAVENS AND EARTH.
The Death of Jesus at the Ninth Hour.
The death of Jesus on the cross and the sacrifice of the Passover lamb in the temple courts happened simultaneously.
MATTHEW 27:46 AND ABOUT THE NINTH HOUR JESUS CRIED OUT WITH A LOUD VOICE, SAYING, “ELI, ELI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?” THAT IS, “MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?” MATTHEW 27:50 AND JESUS CRIED OUT AGAIN WITH A LOUD VOICE, AND YIELDED UP HIS SPIRIT.
The Tearing of the Veil.
The tearing of the veil separating the Holy place and the Most Holy place happened at the same time as the death of the Passover Lamb.
MATTHEW 27:51 THEN, BEHOLD, THE VEIL OF THE TEMPLE WAS TORN IN TWO FROM TOP TO BOTTOM; AND THE EARTH QUAKED, AND THE ROCKS WERE SPLIT.
The Holy of Holies.
Can you imagine how terrifying this must have been to the High Priest and perplexing to those who were watching. Only the High Priest could go into the Holy of Holies once a year on the Day of Atonement; nobody else could go in. If he went in unworthily (none of the others watching would be worthy according to the law), then they would instantly die.
A Jewish tradition was to tie a rope around the leg of the High Priest in case the Lord struck him dead as he performed his duty in the Holy of Holies. Then the priests waiting in the Holy Place could drag him out without going behind the veil, where they would face instant death.
False Teaching on The Passover Lamb.
Futurists say that during the Millennium, as Jesus reigns from Jerusalem, the rebuilding of the Temple and the re-establishment of all the Jewish Feasts will take place. The Passover Lamb sacrifice will also take place each year. I cannot over-estimate how much of an abomination this is in the sight of God. Jesus died as the Passover Lamb, and so if we slay the Passover lamb again, we are making the crucifixion of no effect and putting Christ to shame.
HEBREWS 6:4-6 FOR IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THOSE WHO WERE ONCE ENLIGHTENED, AND HAVE TASTED THE HEAVENLY GIFT, AND HAVE BECOME PARTAKERS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, AND HAVE TASTED THE GOOD WORD OF GOD AND THE POWERS OF THE AGE TO COME, IF THEY FALL AWAY, TO RENEW THEM AGAIN TO REPENTANCE, SINCE THEY CRUCIFY AGAIN FOR THEMSELVES THE SON OF GOD, AND PUT HIM TO AN OPEN SHAME
Jesus fulfils the Day of Atonement.
Atonement means reconciliation with God. Therefore, Jesus fulfils the Day of Atonement by being the sacrifice, the goat in the wilderness, and the High Priest.
Day of Atonement.
LEVITICUS 16:30 FOR ON THAT DAY THE PRIEST SHALL MAKE ATONEMENT FOR YOU, TO CLEANSE YOU, THAT YOU MAY BE CLEAN FROM ALL YOUR SINS BEFORE THE LORD.
Jesus is the Atoning Sacrificial Lamb. Jesus is the one who atones for our sins by His death as the sacrificial lamb.
EXODUS 30:10 AND AARON SHALL MAKE ATONEMENT UPON ITS HORNS ONCE A YEAR WITH THE BLOOD OF THE SIN OFFERING OF ATONEMENT; ONCE A YEAR HE SHALL MAKE ATONEMENT UPON IT THROUGHOUT YOUR GENERATIONS. IT IS MOST HOLY TO THE LORD.”
HEBREWS 13:11-12 FOR THE BODIES OF THOSE ANIMALS, WHOSE BLOOD IS BROUGHT INTO THE SANCTUARY BY THE HIGH PRIEST FOR SIN, ARE BURNED OUTSIDE THE CAMP. THEREFORE, JESUS ALSO, THAT HE MIGHT SANCTIFY THE PEOPLE WITH HIS OWN BLOOD, SUFFERED OUTSIDE THE GATE.
Jesus Bore Our Iniquities.
LEVITICUS 16:10 BUT THE GOAT ON WHICH THE LOT FELL TO BE THE SCAPEGOAT SHALL BE PRESENTED ALIVE BEFORE THE LORD, TO MAKE ATONEMENT UPON IT, AND TO LET IT GO AS THE SCAPEGOAT INTO THE WILDERNESS.
ISAIAH 53:5 BUT HE WAS WOUNDED FOR OUR TRANSGRESSIONS, HE WAS BRUISED FOR OUR INIQUITIES; THE CHASTISEMENT FOR OUR PEACE WAS UPON HIM, AND BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED.

Jesus the High Priest.
Jesus took his blood (as the blood of the lamb) to sprinkle the heavenly places, instituting the New Covenant that brings forgiveness of sins and relationship with the Father.
HEBREWS 9:23-26 THEREFORE IT WAS NECESSARY THAT THE COPIES OF THE THINGS IN THE HEAVENS SHOULD BE PURIFIED WITH THESE, BUT THE HEAVENLY THINGS THEMSELVES WITH BETTER SACRIFICES THAN THESE. Jesus Fulfilled the Feast of Weeks with the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost.
Pentecost was 50 days after Passover. (Seven Sabbaths after the 2nd day of Passover).

LEVITICUS 23:15 ‘AND YOU SHALL COUNT FOR YOURSELVES FROM THE DAY AFTER THE (PASSOVER) SABBATH, FROM THE DAY THAT YOU BROUGHT THE SHEAF OF THE WAVE OFFERING: SEVEN SABBATHS SHALL BE COMPLETED.
Jesus Sent Holy Spirit so He Could Help Believers in Jesus. At Pentecost, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit entered the world again, which enabled people to be filled with and baptized in Holy Spirit.
JOHN 16:7 NEVERTHELESS I TELL YOU THE TRUTH. IT IS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE THAT I GO AWAY; FOR IF I DO NOT GO AWAY, THE HELPER WILL NOT COME TO YOU; BUT IF I DEPART, I WILL SEND HIM TO YOU.

Holy Spirit Poured out at Pentecost on All Who Want to Receive.

Summary of Passover, Pentecost and the Day of Atonement
Jesus is the Passover lamb slain before the foundation of the World.
Jesus is the atoning offerings AND the High Priest of Atonement Day.
When the veil was torn in two, it was a sign that the law was now dead. If the law was still alive, all the people present would have been immediately killed by the wrath of God.
When Jesus’ death and resurrection brought the Holy Spirit, a new dispensation of grace appeared to all men. Sin died and no longer reigned through the law, instead grace now reigns in those who believe.
It is unnecessary to celebrate the feasts, as the feasts are part of the law, and the law died with Jesus on the cross.
