To practice your delight, you must first turn it all on Jesus

There are no disciplines in heaven. No one is standing around the throne, looking at their watch and gritting their teeth to get through the discipline of worship.

In Christ we make his passions our own with the help of the incomparable Holy Spirit. In Christ all our disciplines must become delights. Life in the spirit can never be separated from joy-John 15: 11.

Delight is the enjoyment of gladness. It lies in practicing the joyful spirit of someone captivated by Jesus. Rejoicing is the art of being cheerful in tribulation because of the majesty of God. When we are overwhelmed by the beauty of Christ it is hard to be overcome by anything else.

To love consistently we must focus our attention on Him from the heart. Our hidden person of the heart, our spirit-(1 Peter 3: 4) is learning to flow in the nature of God. Through that flow we are filled with the Spirit so naturally Jesus becomes our full focus for life. We learn the lifestyle of spirituality by remaining fixed on the architect of it all, Jesus. He is the author and finisher of our faith and its outcome-Hebrews 12 : 2.

When we allow His affection for us to overwhelm us, He becomes the object of our desire.

When we receive His joy over us, our rejoicing increases. When we accept his passion for us, we love him with all our heart.

God delights in me and as I enjoy His acceptance and pleasure, my delight in Him grows. Love begets love. Joy produces joy. Delight reproduces delight.

God delights in Christ in us. We receive that delight as our own and return it back to Him by rejoicing and Thanksgiving. God’s pleasure in us must be reciprocated through us and returned to Him-Romans 11: 35-36. It is the cycle of spirituality.
