We represent another dominion, a different dimension entirely distinct from the world around us. Our citizenship is in heaven (Philippians3: 20). We are no longer strangers and aliens; We are fellow citizens with the Saints and of the household of God (Ephesians 2: 19). We are raised up in Christ to keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is seated, seated at God’s right hand -Colossians 3:1.
We are citizens of an all-powerful Realm. We represent heaven in this world so that we can bring a manifestation of heaven to earth. The enemy is present illegally on earth. Christ is the recognized authority in the spirit realm. We are here to carry out the King’s command.
It is vital that we know by experience our point of origin in Christ. We are seated with him in heavenly places far above all the ruling authority (Ephesians 1: 18-23; 2: 6-7) we have power to bind and loose according to the dictates of heaven(Matthew 6: 18-19) the keys of the Kingdom depend upon our revelation of Christ and our placement in him.
The primary issue of prayer is that if permission, promise and provision exist in heaven for someone, then it can be brought to earth on their behalf. If it exists in heaven, it can be brought to earth and released. If something (sickness, powerlessness, etc ) does not exist in heaven, it can be bound on earth.
We worship from our point of origin not our earthly circumstances. When we do so we are empowered to identify the permissions and loose its expression of promise into earthbound scenarios, creating the possibility for miracles and signs of God’s presence. When we pray in line with the revealed will of God, faith becomes focused and specific. Faith takes hold of God’s realities.
When we operate from our place of origin in Christ, we bear witness to the realm He inhabits. Heaven is our model for the Kingdom, not the activities of the local church however good they may be. How much of heaven has God purposed to become manifest here on the earth? What does fullness manifested on the earth look like to us? It has to be more than has entered our mind and heart, beyond what we can ask or think-Ephesians 3: 20.
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, liberty is our context for life and ministry. Whatever brings freedom becomes our priority. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. In the midst of warfare, persecution and overwhelming need, knowing our point of origin is crucial. Without that revelation and experience we may be as subject to the vagaries of life as anyone else.
