Evangelism 6

Isa 42:9 “Behold, the former things have come to pass, now I declare new things; Before they spring forth I proclaim them to you.”

God is revealing new things in our day, we have been comparing and contrasting old and new so we can make sure we are embracing the new and not clinging on to what is old by default.

The Joshua Generation are forerunners of new things which are characterized by establishing everything first beyond the veil in the heavenlies. We are looking at evangelism from the new perspective context of being a supernatural embassy of heaven as a storehouse ready for the harvest.

The old ways of evangelism is where the so-called experts do it all for us. Where we look for a decision or a prayer rather than an encounter with God. New ways are where people can experience God Father, Son and Holy Spirit by personally encountering Him and entering relationship with Him. New ways of evangelism are where are ambassadors of heaven on the earth with a ministry of reconciliation and restoration.   God is calling us to mature to the place where we all operate supernaturally as ambassadors of the good news.

At the heart of evangelism is the gospel or good news. The heart of the good news is a love relationship that God has with the world.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Who is God?   God is Spirit, God is light, God is love. God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is the perfect expression of a love relationship. We need to experience God’s love to be able demonstrate it to the world.

Eph 1:3 Let us celebrate God! He lavished every blessing heaven has upon us.  Ephesians 1:4 He associated us in Christ before the fall of the world! Jesus is God’s mind made up about us! He always knew in his love that he would present us again face-to-face before him in blameless innocence.

God found us in Christ before he lost us in Adam!   We are presented in blameless innocence before him!   We are brought into the closest possible proximity, face-to-face!   This is such amazing good news to share.

Eph 1:5 He is the architect of our design; His heart dream realised our coming of age in Christ (adoption).

Eph 1:6 His grace-plan is to be celebrated; He greatly endeared us and highly favored us in Christ. His love for His Son is His love for us.

Eph 1:7 Since we are fully represented in Him, His blood is the ransom that secured our redemption. His forgiving our sins measures the wealth of His grace.  Eph 1:9 The secret is out! His cherished love dream now unfolds in front of our eyes.

Ephesians 1:11 This is how we fit into God’s picture: Christ is the measure of our portion, we are in him, invented and defined in him. God’s blueprint intention is on exhibition in us. Everything he accomplishes is inspired by the energy and intent of his affection.

Romans 8:29, “He engineered us from the start to fit the mould of sonship and likeness according to the exact blueprint of his design. We see the original and intended shape of our lives preserved in his Son; he is the firstborn from the same womb that reveals our genesis. He confirms that we are the invention of God.”

Ephesians 1:23 the church is his body. The completeness of His being that fills all in all resides in us! God cannot make himself more visible or exhibit himself more accurately.   God dwells in us and rivers of living water that flow from His throne can flow through us to the world.

The word Ekklesia comes from, ek, a preposition always denoting origin, and klesia from kaleo, to identify by name, to surname; thus the “church” is his redeemed image and likeness in human form.   We are to be Jesus with skin on to reach a damaged and hurting world with love.

Therefore, we need to experience the eternal aspect of the very nature of God as love. God – Father, Son and Spirit a pure love relationship was beyond anything I had ever experienced in all my encounters with God  . I realised that I had been worshipping a God I never knew from an eternal perspective.

Eph 2:1 Picture where God found us. We were in a death trap of an inferior lifestyle, constantly living below the blueprint measure of our lives.  Eph 2:3 Through out that time all of us were warped and corrupted in our conduct; snared in a jumble of forbidden lusts, driven by the desires of the senses.

Eph 2:4 Non of this could distract from the extravagant love of God; he continued to love us with the exact same intensity.  Eph 2:5 This is how grace rescued us: sin left us dead towards God, like spiritual corpses; yet in that state of deadness and indifference, God

Eph 2:6 we are co-included in His resurrection. We are also elevated in His ascension to be equally present in the throne room of the heavenly realm where we are co-seated with Him in His executive authority

Eph 2:7 Imagine how God is now able for timeless perpetuity to exhibit the trophy of the wealth of His grace demonstrated in kindness towards us in Christ Jesus. Grace exhibits excessive evidence of the success of the cross

Eph 2:10 We are engineered by His design; He moulded and manufactured us in Christ. We are His workmanship, His poetry. We are fully fit to do good, equipped to give attractive evidence of His likeness in us in everything we do

Matt 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.  It is religion that makes us tasteless and valueless to the world

Matt 5:13 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; 15 nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Matt 5:13″Let me tell you why you are here. You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavours of this earth. … “Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colours in the world.

Ephesians 3:9 The mandate of my message is to make all men see. The unveiling of this eternal secret is to bring into public view an association that has always been hidden in God; Jesus Christ is the blueprint of creation.

Eph 1:4 He associated us in Christ before the fall of the world! Jesus is God’s mind made up about us! He always knew in his love that he would present us again faceto-face before him in blameless innocence.

Ephesians 3:10 Every invisible authority and government in the arena of the heavenlies now witnesses the display of the wisdom of God. The church acts like a prism that disperses the varied magnitude of God in human form.

Ephesians 3:12 His faith in us gives our lives integrity. We echo and articulate the original conversation publicly. He is our platform to a global audience.  Being salt and light is the way to reach people in love.

Eph 3:17 This will ignite your faith to fully grasp the reality of the indwelling Christ. You are rooted and founded in love. Love is your invisible inner source, just like the root system of a tree and the foundation of a building.

We truly need to know who we are as sons defined by a love relationship within the circle of oneness which is Father, Son and Holy Spirit . Then we will be able to display that relationship to a world that is longing to see the authentic nature of God’s love.

Salt – meanings, purposes. No human life is possible without sodium chloride or salt. Salt is the only trace mineral that is found in every cell in the human body.   Without it we would cease to function, salt is a biological necessity. World needs us as salt to truly live.

Rom 8:19 For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans …

For example salt contains iodine that prevents hypothyroidism but it also helps bodies retain and balance fluids and without salt, human life could not exist.   Salt was once deemed so valuable that it was used as a currency  . We get the saying “He’s not worth his salt”  . The word “salary” comes from salt  . Roman soldiers were often paid in salt  . When Jesus talked about the believers needing to be salt, what did He mean by this?   How are we to be “the salt of the earth?”   The world is dying without our salt.

If salt loses its saltiness (Matt 5:13) then all it’s good for is to be thrown out and trampled upon.  What did Jesus mean by this?  If salt was ruined by exposure to moisture or the elements it was then mixed together with gypsum and this salt and gypsum (bitter) mixture was then used to seal roofs in ancient times or applied to roads.

The roofs were like another room they would be “trampled underfoot” (Matt 5:13).  When Christians lose their testimony, they often become bitter and lose their saltiness.  Their saltiness is lost and they are not good for much more than repairing a leaky roof or being thrown on the road to be trodden under foot.

We lose the power and effectiveness of saltiness when the reality of our love relationship becomes a set of religious doctrines, rules and regulations that we have to follow.

2 Cor 3:6 who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Mark 9:49 “For everyone will be salted with fire. 50 Salt is good; but if the salt becomes unsalty, with what will you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”   Relationship is the key to the good news, religious bondage is bad news.

Jesus speaks to the religious leaders  Mark 9:42 “And I tell you too, that the man who disturbs the faith of one of the humblest of those who believe in me would be better off if he were thrown into the sea with a great mill-stone hung round his neck!”

Mark 9:43-49 “Indeed, if it is your own hand that spoils your faith, you must cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than to keep both your hands and go to the rubbish-heap, If your foot spoils your faith, you must cut it off. It is better to enter life on one foot than to keep both your feet and be thrown on to the rubbish-heap.

Mark 9:43-49 And if your eye leads you astray, pluck it out. It is better for you to go one-eyed into the kingdom of God than to keep both eyes and be thrown on to the rubbish-heap, where ‘their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched’. For everyone will be salted by fire.”

Salt was also a vital part of the grain offerings in the Old Testament and allowed them to make peace with God.   Salt enhancing everything we come in contact with, acting as a life-preserving agent in the world to bring peace with the Father  . Because of the lack of refrigeration, salt was used to preserve food, especially meat which would quickly spoil in the desert environment.   Believers in Christ are preservatives to the world  . Not with a judgmental attitude of thou shalt not but a demonstration of the true nature of a love relationship with God  . We are salt to preserve the world from the results of humanism not by the self-righteous attitude of religion of thou shalt not but by being a true demonstration of the love and heart of God  We are here  . to overcome the works of the enemy, sickness, disease, poverty abuse etc through love  . To overcome the guilt, shame, condemnation; lack of identity, acceptance, affirmation and purpose in mankind who the Father has embraced in Jesus in love  That is the enhancement of salt that we can be when we live in a love relationship with God openly not hidden from view or not being involved.

Saltiness can be lost when we follow the wrong path the path of the knowledge (apart from God) which comes from good and evil . When we choose to accept the ways of the world for the sake of comfort or convenience or to meet the needs of our soul and body.

Mark 9:50 “Salt is a very good thing; but if it should lose its saltiness, what can you do to restore its flavour? You must have salt in yourselves, and live at peace with each other.”   Saltiness can be lost when we don’t act towards each other in love and live in peace  . 30,000 denominations are an example of this.

Luke 14:27 Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple 34 “Therefore, salt is good; but if even salt has become tasteless, with what will it be seasoned? 35 It is useless either for the soil or for the manure pile; it is thrown out.   The loss of saltiness occurs when we fail to be disciples and daily take up the cross and follow Christ.

Salt acts to flavour – when the Christian life is observed is it appetising and appealing?  Job 6:6 Can flavourless food be eaten without salt?   God flavours – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, humility, mercy, grace, faith .

Preservation from corruption. Disinfectant from evil. Fertiliser for growth  . Salt is something that must be applied to be of any use  . Salt cannot work from a distance it has to be added to something  . We cannot be apart from the world .

We have to be applied to the world to be the ambassadors that influence the world with heavenly values  . Salt is a description of how to enhance something else  . We are here to enhance the physical and spiritual created realms from the eternal reality of God Himself .

Eph 5:11 Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them  Col 4:6 Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.

2Chron 13:5 Do you not know that the LORD God of Israel gave the rule over Israel forever to David and his sons by a covenant of salt?  Dominion, rule or government  Government that reflects the love of a loving God who is love

We are here to terraform the earth from a heavenly realm perspective

Ouranos Greek for heaven – raised up or lofty  . More accurately we are to ouranoform the created realm  . From the higher perspective of what was before there was anything but God .

Matt 6:10 ‘Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Rule and reign of God displaying heaven’s values and demonstrating God’s amazing love  . We must experience a face to face relationship in heaven to bring that rule of love to the earth.
