Jesus is the model of grace

Jesus was full of grace and truth, and the perfect example for Christians to follow. Prophecy and grace must come together in our lives as they did in his.

Philippians 4: 8- finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things.

Jesus did just that: he concentrated on truth, justice, nobility, purity, love, and virtue. He was unbelievably kind. God understands our struggle in this because Jesus was human.

Hebrews 4: 14- therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore, let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in the time of need.

No one has a burning desire to be the worst Christian who ever lived. But how many of us have a plan to be the best one? In every Christians heart, there is a hunger to be Christ like, even if that hunger is buried beneath the cares of this life. We want to be significant in a spiritual realm. The prophetic anointing allows us to see this desire in other people. It doesn’t just tap into God’s heart, but it lets us see others as God sees them. We can see the hunger, purity, and loveliness of another person. We can see their earnest desire for God.

Prophetic ministry is about drawing out of people what God has already put in them. Christ understands our weaknesses for he too was human. Because of that fact, we can approach his throne of grace boldly. The prophetic word presents people with grace and truth. The truth about grace and the grace to be truthful with a real impartation of love!

Confidence in Christ is the only antidote for inadequacy and insecurity. When we learn who he is, our doubts about ourselves begin to fade. We know that his grace is sufficient for us, and that we can enter his presence because we belong there. We can come before his throne with boldness because it is the very place where we receive mercy. By coming to him, we gain the grace we need to face any situation in life.

New Testament prophets release individuals to that same place of confidence. When a true prophet ministers, no one is afraid. Instead, confidence in God builds within the listeners. Those who hear start to see God as he really is and begin to fall in love with him all over again. The grace of God is intoxicating and irresistible. Prophets help inspire people to obtain mercy and grace.

When the Holy Spirit convicts of sin he always brings us the gifts of mercy, grace, righteousness, and forgiveness. He uses these gifts to restore our fellowship in line with our relationship with God in Christ. The father has put us into Christ (relationship); it is the work of the Holy Spirit to teach us to abide there (fellowship). Literally to establish the Christ life and likeness in us. All prophetic input is towards the same purpose. Edifying (1 Corinthians 14: 3-4) leads to the establishing of our identity in Jesus Christ.

It is important that we understand this basic, but vital, truth about Christ and life in the Spirit. We cannot prophecy outside of that revelation-we prophecy within that revelation with power.
