Colossians 3: 1-seek (command for continuous action, to seek to find) those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
We are to seek those things which are above. We are to Seek to find.
Col 3:2 Set your affection (command for continuous action, mindset, to think upon, to interest oneself in, this activity involves not only the mind but the affection, the will and the conscience, to be in a certain frame of mind, to imagine) on things above (heaven), not on things on the earth.
We are commanded to have a continuous mind set on the things above, the mind, the emotions, the will, and a conscious awareness of the things above.
John 11:41 and Jesus lifted up (above) his eyes, and said, father; I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
When we see the phrase “lifted up the eyes”, it refers to seeing in the Spirit. Jesus only did what he saw the father do, he was able to lift up his eyes, to look into heaven and see spiritually.
John 3: 3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again (ánōthen; from ánō- above, and the suffix –then denoting from- FROM ABOVE) he cannot see (specific point in time, sudden climatic experience, implying not the mere act of seeing but the actual perception of some object, “‘to experience, encounter, participate in) the kingdom (A spiritual dimension, the dominion of God in heaven and on the earth) of God.
Our Spirit must be born of God, in order to see in the Spirit.
