Ambassadors 6

Ambassadors of Heaven

Cor 5:20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. Eph 6:20 – I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming the kingdom I may speak boldly.

Phil 3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven. Col 1:13 For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son.

We are citizens of a heavenly kingdom.

It has always been God’s intention that this material universe to reflect His heavenly spiritual, supernatural kingdom. Matt 6: 9 – Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven.10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:51 -I say to you, you will see the heavens opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

John 3: 13 And no man hath ascended up to Heaven, but He that came down from Heaven, even the Son of Man who is in Heaven.

Rev 1:6 and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father–to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.  Rev 3:20 ‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. Rev 4:1 After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.”

Heb 1:3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

Heb 1:5 For to which of the angels did He ever say, “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”? And again, “I will be a Father to Him and He shall be a Son to Me”? Heb 1:8 But of the Son He says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, And the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom.

Jesus is exact representation of God. We are ambassadors of Jesus. He upholds by words of power. He sits on a of throne authority. His identity is a son. His throne has a scepter of authority. He loves righteousness and hates lawlessness.

Rom 8:29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many children. Rom 8:16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

Heaven’s kingdom has higher standards of behavior, superior authority, power and wisdom. New speech, new attitudes, new lifestyle, new dimensions.

Living under kingdom authority, new health service – healing, new economy financial services, new society – paradise restored. Transformation to a new order, Lives, families, church, town, region, nation, world.

I must represent Christ & His kingdom to the world. I am not here on this earth to represent myself. I am not here to promote my own ideas, or personal ideology. I am not here to impose my opinions about life and God. I am here only to represent Christ.

Ambassadors have an honored position which carries responsibility. We are always a personal representative Jesus Christ in every situation.  We need to speak the message of Jesus. We need to preach the good news in word and deed.

In word, by what we say, people should be able to see that we are followers of Christ. Our speech should differ from that of the world around us. Our words should resonate that which is righteous with authority.

In deed, works- John 14:12 Speaking the words of God is not enough we must demonstrate the kingdom as Jesus did. This may involve more than just meeting their spiritual needs, but may also mean their physical needs as well.

Preach the word sometimes using words. Who – To all the world. When – In season and out of season. What – Christ and Him Crucified. Why – To bring reconciliation between God and man.

1 Cor 2:23 but we preach Christ crucified, 1 Cor 2:4 and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

1 Cor 4:15- I preached the Good News to you. 2 Cor 2:17- We preach the word of God with sincerity and with Christ’s authority. 2 Cor 4:5- For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord,

1 Thes 1:5 For our [preaching of the] glad tidings (the Gospel) came to you not only in word, but also in [its own inherent] power and in the Holy Spirit and with great conviction and absolute certainty [on our part]. You know what kind of men we proved [ourselves] to be among you for your good.

2 Tim 4:2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. 1 Pet 1:25 BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER.” And this is the word which was preached to you.

Do we have a desire to live a life that brings glory to God? Do we carry the message? Are we the message – good news? We will never be Jesus to world unless we want to be. Do you want to be an ambassador?

We are representatives of another culture, another way of life. In this capacity, we do not give our own opinions, but advance the positions of our home country (heaven). We must function as a servant or steward, representing our country heaven faithfully. As such, we should practice hospitality, courtesy, and graciousness.

Ambassadors represent Christ by their behavior as His followers – disciples. John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” Demonstrate love because God is love.

Rom 12: 10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; 11 not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, 13 contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

Rom 12:15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation. 17 Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. 18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.

Rom 13:8 Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his Neighbour has fulfilled the law. Rom 14:13 Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this – not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother’s way.

Rom 14:19 So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another. Rom 15:7 Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God. 1 Cor 12: so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.

Gal 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Gal 6:2 Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfil the law of Christ.

Eph 4:2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love. Eph 4:32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

Phil 2:1-3 1 Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, 2 make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. 3 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves.

Col 3: 12 So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. 14 Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.

1 Thes 4:18- Therefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thes 5:11- Therefore encourage one another and build up one another. 1 Thes 5:13- Live in peace with one another. 1 Thes 5:15 See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people.

Heb 10: 24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

James 5:16- Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. 1 John 5:17- but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

1 Peter 4: 8 Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. 9 Be hospitable to one another without complaint. 10 As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

John 13: If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. John 13: 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Prov 13:17 A wicked messenger falls into evil, but a faithful ambassador brings healing. Am I a faithful ambassador of Christ? Am I bringing light, salt, health, refreshment, comfort and God to the people with whom I come into contact?
