Are you married to the Lord?

Ephesians 5: 31For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

The word joined speaks of marriage, when our spirit is joined to the Lord; it becomes married to the Lord, being one spirit. In the spirit we are already the bride of Christ.

1 Corinthians 6: 17But he that is joined (continuous repeated action, to glue together, to make cohere-come together, the relationship is one of intimacy) unto the Lord is one (to indicate the singularity of something) spirit.

Our marriage with the Lord begins in our spirit. There is a door in our spirit that we have to open every day, so that there is a joining of our spirit with His in intimacy so that our spirit becomes one with His in thought, purpose and feeling.

Unless there is an intimate union of our spirit with the Lords, unless there is a cleaving to, an abiding of intimate connection in marriage to the Lord, we are going to live our life like a single person.

Once we learn how to maintain a oneness of spirit with the Lord, then we can bring our soul into this divine union, by making a marriage contract with the Lord.

The lord wants to marry us spirit, soul and body. The glorification of our body is the consummation of our marriage with the Lord.
