We need to understand that things like love, joy, peace, thanksgiving, anger, hate and jealousy and all the like are not just attitudes.
They are far more than just attitudes, they are a power, they are a substance, and we need to understand this.
Each of these attitudes radiates out from us as a power or a light, a force. When we talk about a power technically we are talking about a wavelength or a vibration, which also has color and substance and sound.
The sound coming from a speaker is simply just a vibration, but when cranked up to certain frequency it is powerful enough to crack your eardrums.
What we need to understand is that every negative, selfish, attitude is seen in the spirit realm. Jealousy, anger, bitterness, every unforgiving attitude carries its own power, its own vibration, which is discernible in the realm of the spirit.
It is not just an attitude it is a force, and that force begins to clothe you, you begin to clothe yourself in that force and we need to understand that.
This light or power around a person clothes the person in it and draws them further into it whether it be negative or positive.
Nothing that we do is done in secret in the spirit realm. When we start walking in the Spirit (there are few that do) we are drawing all of heaven to us, angels, and the cloud of witnesses. If we do not have a walk with God we are drawing demons to us.
You see every trait good or evil is manifest this way. It is not just some abstract attitude, it is a force which you release, it is a power which you release which clothes you, and you clothe yourself in it.
1 John 2: 9 it says that he that says he is in the light and hates his brother is not in the light but is in darkness.
He is talking to Christians here, if you hate your brother or sister, you clothe yourself in darkness that is a color and a power in the spirit realm.
1 john 2:10 says he that loves his brother lives in the light or abides in the light and there is no occasion of stumbling with him.
He that loves his brother clothes himself in light.
Self-pity will envelop you in its power and the darkness that comes from self-pity is a power and it will so clothe you that you will be totally imprisoned. It is not just an attitude, it is a power and it is a force.
Every evil carries its own dismal depressing color and its own disintegrating power of vibrations. In Luke Chapter 11: 35 Jesus said take heed that the light which is in you doesn’t become dark light.
You see unbelief carries with it a veil of darkness that surrounds the person and it is identifiable in the spirit as a color, as a veil of darkness that clothes that person.
In Isaiah 61:3 it tells us that Jesus came to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.
The root of the word garment in Hebrew means to wrap in or to veil. In the tangible realm of the spirit, you wrap yourself in something and it can be dark light, or it can be the glory of God.
Now it says put on the garment of praise. When you begin to be thankful, when you begin to praise God, you begin to wrap yourself in power, in light which destroys that heaviness.
The word praise in the Hebrew is from the root word halal which means to shine with sound and color. When you begin to praise you will begin to shine, shine with light and color. When you do that, you wrap yourself in a garment.
When you are clothed in heaviness and depression and sadness it is very destructive.
But the power that flows out of praise is a greater power than the power of despondency, it disintegrates the power of despondency.
We have to put off sadness and despair and we do that by being cheerful and thankful.
It is just be happy no matter what your circumstances, how many of you know happiness is a choice.
You have to choose to be happy. If it was dependent upon circumstances very few people are going to be happy. It’s important to put off sadness and despair and instead be cheerful and thankful.
1 Thessalonians 5:16 says rejoice evermore and in everything give thanks, no matter what your circumstances. Thanksgiving is a spiritual principle. These are very critical laws, if you don’t put them into place, you are not going to go any further in God. Because you can’t break through out of the veil of darkness, you can’t break through out of unbelief, you can’t break through into the realm that God wants you to break into. The power that flows out of praise is a tremendous power, you put on a clothing of light and power by praising God.
Most people don’t realize that attitudes, our moods will clothe us either in light or in darkness, there is no in between, they will clothe you in one or the other.
There is a spiritual law which goes like this- what you are clothed with will continue to draw you deeper into it.
If it’s dark light, it will draw you deeper into that darkness, that despondency.
If it is joy it will draw you deeper into that.
It is the law of attraction, birds of a feather flock together. And finally, that’s going to determine where you go when you pass from this life, whether you go to heaven or the consuming fire, it is just simply the law of attraction. What you are clothed in will draw you one way or the other.
