Body of Christ

We were chosen in Christ before we were lost in Adam. In Christ we are one spirit and one body. We lose our sense of separation and individuality. We have no self-conscious apart from God.

Eph 1: 4According (implying manner, when) as he hath chosen us (specific point, selection) in (intimate union with) him before (before time) the foundation ( the beginning of creation) of the world (heavens and earth, the universe, the inhabitants of the earth), that we should be (present infinitive-no reference to time, to exist, the word should in not in the original) holy (hagios-the root of the word is-hag-which means with, and hagnos-pure, freedom from defilements  or impurity. The word means with-pure, sharing in God’s purity, set apart) and without blame (without spot or blemish) before (face, presence of) him in (intimate union with, remaining in place) love (to look upon affectionately)

In Christ we rejoice in a pre-creation innocence that pre-existed Adam’s fall! We exist holy and without blame before him in love, this is talking about the realm of eternity.

Our spirit came out of eternity into the time realm, into our mother’s womb and then our soul came into existence, becoming a descendant of the first Adam.

When our soul was born, we experienced what it means to be in Adam and we have lost our memory of our preexistence and therefore our true identity.

Our soul is formed through nature, nurture and trauma from the outside in. Our soul then becomes broken and fragmented through our life experiences in this world. This creates in us wrong motivations and intents trying to get the needs of our soul met through the pathway of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Our soul experiences unmet needs, unhealed hurts, unresolved issues. This keeps us tied to this earth realm.

We need the love of God to flow into our souls and cast out all fear, so that we can experience the true knowledge of our identity in Christ. We experience this from the inside out as we learn how to get into the Spirit, beyond the veil where we experience His presence. Fear cannot co-exist in this realm of His love.

Then our identity, image, esteem, value, and worth flow from the vast sum of God’s thoughts about us through infused knowledge- Spirit to spirit- cardiognosis .

Through learning how to be in the Spirit we experience what it means to be in Christ. We lose our soul-all independent action and begin to experience being one body in Christ, and find our life (soul) our unique expression as a member of Christ.
