What people refer to as the Lord’s Prayer in Mathew 6, is the prayer the Lord taught the disciples to pray. We can find the Lord’s Prayer in John 17, Where our Lord prayed to the Father, that we would all come into the same oneness of spirit that he had with the Father, that we might enter into the heavenly realm to behold His glory, and that the world might know that the Father sent Jesus to be their Lord and Savior.
This prayer is in reality a kingdom prayer. It teaches us how the will of God comes to pass, and gives us an outline for our personal prayer life. It is not just words we repeat, but something that needs to be written upon our heart.
In order to pray this prayer we have to be part of God’s family, we must be born of Him. We are not just praying individually, but for the whole of our family.
We pray our Father, not just my father. The focus is on the Father. We must get the right concept of the Father; He desires what is best for us, more than we ever could for ourselves. Until we see God as our Father, we see Him as some being totally different from ourselves. He generated us with His very own life which should be growing and developing in us. Not only did he lay down His life for us by becoming the son of man to suffer for our sin. He limited himself to move through our prayers so that we would learn how to depend upon Him.
We acknowledge His holiness-his separateness and perfection of nature. With deep respect we are to address Him.
Every day we are to pray for His kingdom to come down into our lives. We ask for His ruler ship over our lives. This is something we have to cry out for-Thy Kingdom come! It must be a prophetic proclamation!
We have a built in passivity, and reluctance, we do not want to see God’s judgments released in the earth because of what remains of the self-nature in us.
The whole natural creation is waiting for Jesus Christ to be formed in us, for us to grow up to His full stature in the time realm. Once we come into a walk with God as a mature body of believers, God will entrust to us the ministry of judgment. We will bring the manifestation of the Kingdom into the earth realm judging spirits and loosing the creation from futility.
When God’s kingdom comes, His will is done in the earth. God’s will does not automatically happen. Those He foreknows will respond to His calling, He disciplines and causes all things to work out for their perfection, but we speed up the processes by commanding His will to be done in our lives, and others.
The way it works is that God has to raise up someone to intercede and stand in the gap, because He has chosen to move through our prayers.
We first must realize that His will is not being done in our lives, before we will begin to pray it into existence.
We are to pray for our daily bread, not only nourishment for our physical bodies but also for our spirit. We pray for the strength of His Spirit and direction for the day. We need a living word that we may grow thereby.
We ask the Lord to forgive us for every time we have missed the mark of what we should have been. It is more than just the things that we should not have done, but also the obligations that we have, in which we have failed.
We forgive everyone who has fallen short in an expected relationship for service or dealings that we anticipated from them. We forgive them of any debt they owe us because of their shortcomings in their relationship to us. We forgive those who fail to measure up to our expectations.
The minute we close our heart to a brother, sister or neighbor, we build a wall that mercy cannot penetrate. If there is no forgiveness in our heart for a brother or sister, we build up a wall against them, which also becomes a wall to God. We break our connection with God so that He cannot get through to us.
If we put up a wall of unforgiveness against an enemy, no matter what they have done against us, we are only shutting ourselves off from the blessing of God. We must even forgive our enemies in order to keep the wall down to God so that the blessings of the Lord will continually flow to us.
This prayer begins with the highest spiritual realm, Our Father who dwells in heaven. In the third heaven God’s will is perfectly done, it is uncontested. We are praying for His kingdom to come down into the earthly realm. This prayer of the Kingdom is to bring it down. It is the Lord’s rule that we bring down.
The kingdom of God comes progressively, because we appropriate it over and over again, we keep bringing it down. Then it comes down to a present release in the natural realm where the Kingdom of God had not formerly prevailed.
In this present transition, we pray and believe for the Kingdom of God to come, for His will to come down from the heavens into the earth, on the same level as it is in the heavens.
We pray for the bread that feeds the spirit and the soul. We need to feed on that which gives release to our spirit and our emotions. That which strengthens the life of our spirit is more important than the natural bread. We labor for the meat that endures unto everlasting life.
We pray for the Lord to continue to lead us not into temptation, but into His presence.
We know that our spirit is to be built up to rule with the Lord, but we are also aware that we cannot take too much pressure. Until we can reach a high spiritual level, God deliver us from the wicked one, from the evil that would victimize us.
We ask the lord to show us how to be spiritually alert. We want to encounter Satan in the spirit level. We do not want the area of conflict to be in temptations to the flesh or the human nature.
We cannot prevail if the battle depends upon our moral strength and our human ability to meet the temptations of Satan. We want to battle the enemy in only one area-thus saith the Lord, because we prevail when we hang onto the word.
Deliver us from evil, we want to be taken out of the conflicts of deception, lies, emotional disturbances, the invasion of the mind, that which sets off our basic instincts and drives, the hungers and the lusts of the body. God deliver us from any encounters there.
The kingdom must be brought down from above; we cannot generate it from below. God’s wisdom comes down from above. An earthly devilish wisdom is generated from below.
We must position ourselves in the spiritual realm of victory above, in the heavenly places in Christ.
Our Father who art in Heaven –This must be our abiding place. Jesus prayed that we might be with Him where He is. Living on the same spiritual level, the same abiding place where He is. We are drawn up.
The place Jesus prepared for us is where Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father. Seated speaks of rest and victory. The right hand speaks of authority. We are raised with Christ to be seated in the heavenly places with Him. This is the place of victory and authority.
Are names are written in heaven. We are enrolled as citizens in the higher level where Satan is cast out.
When the 70 were operating in their delegated authority, they were rejoicing because they had authority over demons, but Jesus told them to rejoice because their names were written in heaven.
The physical natural realm is to be controlled, governed and recreated through the spirit realm.
Satan is called the prince of the power of the air and he governs from this realm. When Adam fell Satan was able to usurp the control over the world-he is called the god of this present age, and mostly controls the air waves. The reason he governs it is because there is no one spiritually strong enough to take over what man forfeited. As the sons of God begin to come forth we will begin to displace him from this realm.
The early church had enough strength to displace Satan’s government in that whole cities were saved. And in church History we see some men of God who were able to displace some of these world rulers.
This is what the battle with Satan is all about. Satan was cast down to the atmosphere above us
It is as we come into the salvation of the soul, that we will have authority to displace Satan from certain areas in which we live.
A new realm of authority is being opened up, the realm from which judgment will be issued, as we enter into the rest of the Lord. It is in this realm where we are completely immune. It is the over comers that are moving up into this place of rule.
On the lower realm or natural realm Satan still dominates many areas. He dominates the field of politics in the natural realm. Satan tries to govern the area of finances.
We have to assume Christ’s authority from the highest spiritual level. We have to maintain our high spiritual level where the authority is. Our authority there is as kings and priests of God. Only that authority will prevail over all of the lower realms. In this realm of authority the enemy will come against us one way and flee seven ways. This means that we will be able to chase Satan out of seven categories. We will displace him because of the victory that we loose in the spirit realm.
The whole created, natural world is chained with futility because God subjected it to futility, but with the expectation that it would be loosed by the sons of God.
The sons of God, led by His Spirit, are too loose all creation from futility. The natural realm can only be released by a spiritual people who have prevailed.
God is raising up an army and we are entering into the first phases of the last crisis battle which will displace Satan.
Every time we deal with a principality or a demon power which is operating over a certain area, a displacement will be created by the release of the controlling pressures; and we will move into that place. We move in and push the usurper out.
The preaching of the gospel invariably has to start with a spiritual level.
We cannot better the world by social action-only, but by spiritual action. If we tried to create a better legislation, it would be corrupted by amendments, until we displace the controlling powers in the atmosphere.
There is only one way to prevail and that is to obtain the victory in the spirit realm and then bring it down. We have to bring down the rule of God from above. When we dominate the spiritual world, we will dominate the natural world.
More is accomplished by prophetic proclamation than by prayer. We must bring it down from the higher realm. It is from the spirit realm that all things will be controlled.
We cannot solve our problems by human wisdom; they are solved as we ascend to a higher realm where we have a walk in the spirit. When we start moving in the spirit then the natural realm starts giving way to the authority of Christ.
In Christ’s Authority we dominate this natural world by faith. One by one things start giving way to what we command in the name of the Lord by His authority.
Everything we do is the first fruits to bring forth the rest of the world; we have to keep bringing it down. We become the first fruits, and then we create that which is to follow us. First we come forth and then all creation is loosed.
Everything has to come down from the heavenly realm into the natural. Everything has to come down from the Father of lights.
We have to bring down the wisdom of God from above. There are two kinds of wisdom, the wisdom of the world and the wisdom that comes from above.
It is through entering this level of living experiential in the heavens that we have the authority to begin to loose the will of God in the earth.
Math 6: 9After this manner(in this way) therefore(accordingly) pray ye(you): Our(our, we, us) Father(generator, the originator and transmitter of anything) which (that) art in(intimate union with) heaven (the seat of order of things eternal and consummately perfect where God dwells and other heavenly beings), Hallowed(to sanctify, to make a person or thing the opposite of koinos, “common;” to render or acknowledge, holy, regarded with great respect or reverence) be thy name(the name is used for everything which the name covers). 10Thy kingdom (royal power, kingship, dominion, rule) come (command to begin this moment, royal power, kingship, dominion, rule), Thy will(the results He determines) be done ) to come into existence, begin to be, receive being) in (motion into) earth (the earth as a whole), as(1- even, 2- like) it is in heaven. 11Give (to impart, to supply, furnish) us this day (this very day) our (us) daily (the bread of our necessity) bread (root-lift up, food of any kind). 12And(also) forgive (to send away) us our debts (that which is owed a debt or obligation), as(1-even 2-like) we forgive(send away) our debtors(one who owes another, one held by some obligation, bound by some duty, one who has not yet made amends to whom he has injured:). 13And( also) lead(forbids an action that is not in process, and thus commands it not to be started, denotes “to bring to,” “to bring into,”) us not(conditional negative) into (motion into) temptation (an internal temptation to sin), but (to mark contrast or opposition,) deliver(snatch from danger, rescue, save, it is more a drawing to oneself than merely rescuing from something or someone) us from (of separation, of origin) evil ( in the Greek it reads- the evil-the definite article-the- indicates not evil in general, but the evil one himself, active form of evil, annoyances, hardships): For (because,) thine is the kingdom (royal power, kingship, dominion, rule), and the power (dúnamis-miracle working power, ability), and( also, even, indeed,) the glory (splendor, brightness, the manifested perfection of His character), for (motion into) ever (perpetuity of time). Amen (- so it is, so be it, may it be fulfilled).
