Confession and declaration

I’m giving you a prophetic word so you can escape your past and I’m opening up space in front of you so you can become this. You grow by the quality of your confession. But confession by itself is not enough, your confession must become an ongoing declaration. Another words your confession breaks the connection with your past and releases you to step into your future, to step out there. So, your confession says I’m not going back there I’m going over here. That’s not who I am this is who I am, that’s who I’m becoming. Your declaration then is what you do in response to your confession. Your declaration is an act of faith. Declaration is about you speaking out the way that you intend to partner with the Holy Spirit in becoming that person. This is who God says I am, this is what I’m doing in response to that with the Holy Spirit. So, declaration allows us to stay aligned to God’s promises and purpose and it is an ongoing confirmation that turns our identity into destiny. If God prophesies into your future let’s just say right now that he’s in 2034 looking at you, he sees you in 2024 and he prophesies back to you in 2024 what he sees as a reality, this is a prophecy. So, he then proclaims to you from your future into your present. He begins to proclaim to you what he is seeing as a present reality. So, his proclamation you receive as an invitation to become that person as fast as possible. Because you know with God, he always wants you to run, he likes everything to be now or today or as close to that as possible. So, it is an invitation, let’s go there now. So, here you are in the present and you get that proclamation as a prophecy which now you have to say I agree with that word and so that word about my future breaks the connections I have in the present because now I am going to start walking in a different way.

A friend was an evangelist, and the Lord sends a prophet into his life one day and he says the Lord has called you to be a prophet and a teacher. And he said to one of the guys who was mentoring him, what do I do with that, he said you confess it. What does that mean? Well, if you confess it you got to start moving toward, you have to leave the other ministry behind. Do stop evangelizing no, but it is no longer the focus of your life. He  had to say yes to that and then declare I am going to partner with the Holy Spirit to become that.

In declaration we develop the momentum that will accelerate our potential into something actual. You’ve got to become habitual in your behavior, you have habits right now. You need to make sure they are good ones.

Nobody drifts to the top of the mountain. You don’t drift to the top of Mount you train for it; you prepare for it, you plan for it.  If you ask any athlete, any musician, anybody who is in any high position, you create habits that are in line with where you want to go. You got to stop being passive and stop procrastinating, stop sitting around waiting for God to do something. Get out there and get walking, interact with what God has been saying to you. Stop waiting the light is always green, it only turns red when it is not God’s will.
