I teach on how to have a walk with God, like Enoch did, this is the vital aspect of Redemption, attaining perfection in this life. You are already perfect in eternity, this is called legal redemption. If you think you can lose your salvation as far as going to heaven when you die, you are totally deceived, I don’t care how many miracles or testimonies you have, you do not even understand the word salvation.
Of course, the Lukewarm church of today, has no desire to hear what Christ in me has to say and gets upset when I start correcting all the false doctrines they believe.
But if you are not persecuted for the gospel you preach by religious people, then you are not preaching the gospel but what your learned from man.
Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself in the Lord, and he will give thee the desires of thy heart. 5 Commit thy way unto the Lord, trust also in him, and he will bring it to pass.
Now, we love the end of it because we are still so human. They think, oh, the Lord will bring it to pass. I’ll have the desires of my heart. We’re dwelling on the wrong end of the thing. Instead of the delighting in the Lord, instead of committing our way to the Lord.
Two things must be uppermost in your mind. The blessings of the Lord are unlimited.
But so often, our desires for things for ourselves or for our interest, for our will to be done, precedes our desire for the Lord.
It’s the easiest thing in the world to come home from work and reach for a book that you’re reading. If it isn’t there, or you reach for your favorite magazine, if that isn’t there, switch on the TV, there’s nothing there of interest. Oh, I think I’ll read the Word a while. But you see, it’s a good test.
What do you do? Delight in the Lord first. If you delight in the Lord until everything of God is first, that’s the main delight. Then all the other desires will be added to you. God will give them to you. Seek first the kingdom. Other things will be added. You can count on that. It’s God’s promise.
Then commit thy way unto the Lord. Oh, how willful we like to be. How many people are praying for the Lord to bless them in their ministry when the whole thing is an illusion in their own mind, what they want to do or their own desires? It’s true.
Why in the world anybody has a desire to be a preacher? I’ll never know. I’ll never know. Being a preacher isn’t that great. You say well-being a minister is being on stage, with all these people looking at you like you are some great persons they admire. There’s sort of a glamour to it.
You’ll lose that in the first month if you preach a living word, unless you tell the people what they want to hear and not “thus saith the Lord”, you’ll lose the glamour of it.
Well, preachers are respected, not the real one’s they are those who follow the heresy of the way.
What level does preaching rank in all of the scope of wisdom of God? What is it called? Foolishness. And it pleases God to let foolish preachers preach that the people might hear a word from God. He deals with them and opens their hearts and delivers them.
Foolishness of preaching. I will never understand it. So, preachers go babbling on, and people still get born again. The whole thing is foolishness.
The lowest level of wisdom that God is ministering to people is on this level of preaching. And don’t ever get the idea that people grow in grace because of the preaching.
You grow in grace because you keep coming to church and in your faithfulness, God causes growth. I think you grow in grace because you give your money, because you attend the house of God, because you worship, you keep your heart and your spirit open, and submissive to God in all the things that you go through. And you’re real lucky if occasionally you pull out of the sermon something that helps you in that.
When you come into a real walk with God the Holy Spirit will teach you, if you can learn how to hear his voice, the preacher is unnecessary. The anointing himself teaches you.
Because of what God is doing in your life, I am an exhorter, a teacher. A lot of my preaching is not by the real art of preaching at all. It’s just bringing out the words that God is saying, encouraging your hearts in them. But it’s your own openness to the Lord, that’s causing you to grow. It’s growing in grace and in knowledge of the Lord.
Commit thy way unto the Lord. Commit thy way unto the Lord, the whole way of your life. This is it.
Lord, I want to do your will. Lord, I want to do your will above everything else. And then he’s the one that starts bringing the things to pass.
Two promises I gave you, but the conditions are the things that you should dwell on, delighting in the Lord.
Lord, I want you to be the greatest delight of my life above everything else. And I want to commit the whole course of my life into your hands. I want to follow you absolutely.
And if you do that, you’ll be amazed how God will start taking all those hang-ups and problems and dealing with them, and He’ll bless you.
