What we focus on; we give power to. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth-Colossians 3: 2.
We have all had experiences of being hurt, wounded, betrayed and let down. It is as sure, as the sun rises and sets, that we all have similar experiences. Life is not about avoiding unpleasant situations. It is about making a profit from them.
What if every potentially damaging situation was really a shortcut to a brilliant experience of Jesus? Instead of being wounded we would become Christ like! Through his blood and sacrifice we do not have a right to be wounded; we have a right to be healed.
Take your eyes off the negative and you will disempower it. If you are wounded and offended, it proves that your old nature is still alive. The best way to keep it dead is to live in the new nature of Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Do not treat disappointments as houseguests. In the Kingdom we attack the negative and we drive it out. It has neither possession nor inheritance with us.
Make a list of your disappointments and evict them from your life. For every disappointment there is an equal and opposite blessing. Determine what the blessing is and concentrate on that; live in it-put on Christ.
The measure of a man or women is not how much it takes to make them happy… but how little.
Take time to redefine what makes you happy? Do you experience the joy of the Lord every day, and for how long? Maybe it is time for an upgrade!
