There is a whole teaching out there among the Christian community; that Jesus did it all on the cross so we don’t have to do anything. This is a very subtle deception because it keeps believers in darkness. It is a partial truth.
Jesus has done everything on the cross, but that does not mean that we have appropriated that perfect provision in the time realm. He has sent the Holy Spirit to us, and His job is to take what Jesus provided and transfer it into our being so that we experience it.
The Holy Spirit is a genius, and as we get to know Him personally, He leads us into all the truth. He shows us how it all works, so that we can participate in the provision that Jesus has made for us.
So the Holy Spirit is going to teach us step by step how to appropriate the finished work of Jesus Christ.
We are going to learn how to be continually filled with the Spirit, so that the life of God is continually flowing into our spirit.
Then we are going to learn how our soul has been programmed by the world from the outside in, how it has lived independent of God and in so doing has been damaged, fractured, and broken.
Our soul needs to go through a process of transformation, so that it no longer functions independently of God, but comes under submission to the life flow of God in our spirit and becomes restored to the condition that God intends it to be in.
We need to learn the different gateways of spirit, soul and body and how the life of God flows through them so that we can appropriate the fullness of God into our lives.
It is difficult to locate our spirit, unless we have been baptized in the Holy Spirit with the ability to speak in tongues.
To be baptized in the Holy Spirit, means that the Holy Spirit comes upon us and we are literally immersed in God, we become aware of the Presence of God in the atmosphere so that our soul senses God and our body feels God. Our whole being is filled with God, and in this awareness we become aware of words given us in our spirit and we need to speak them.
Some people have been baptized in the Spirit and spoken in tongues and then when the Spirit lifted off of them, they forgot the words they spoke, so that they could not speak in tongues at will. We need to consciously remember at least some of them because it is a real language, and then speak them every day until we get a flow.
When we speak in tongues we can immediately locate our spirit. When we speak in tongues we are drawing from the Holy Spirit because He is giving us utterance. The words we are speaking are spirit and life. We are experiencing the flow of the Spirit through words.
When we speak in tongues we are conscious of our spirit, we need to be aware of the different senses of our spirit so that we can be aware of the life of God flowing into them.
Our spirit enables us to be God conscious and our soul enables us to be self-conscious and world conscious.
When the life of God is active and flowing in our spirit, then our soul has the potential to not be self conscious apart from God.
We have to learn how to keep the life of God flowing in our spirit, so that our soul does not act independently of it. Our spirit can then filter all the thoughts and feelings that come into our soul to be able to discern if they originate in God or not.
