The reason God created man is because God is love. He wanted somebody to love, he wanted somebody to love on his own level, capable of loving him back, so he created man in his own image, he created him of his own essence, he breathed into him his very eternal life or substance or literally put himself into the body he had formed.
God made man in his own image. The word image in the Greek is eikón, and always assumes a prototype, that which it not merely resembles but from which it is drawn. God breathed the spirit of Adam into the body of Adam which produced a living soul. So man was a three-part being spirit, soul and body.
The body of Adam was part of the natural creation of God, God is spirit, he is eternal, he dwells in the eternal realm, he is not subject to the time space world we are now in.
The bible says that Jesus was slain before the foundation of the world. God became a man so that he could create a man-the word is generic it includes man and woman, or humanity.
God took on humanity, died for humanity, so that he could create a being that was capable of loving him on his own level.
The bible says the word became flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus the word or seed of God became a human being, died for human beings, was raised from the dead giving him the legal right to breath into them his very eternal love so that they could love him back with that same divine love.
The He raised them up and seated them on the right side of him to rule and reign with him in the eternal realm. When we are born again we literally become in the spirit the bride of Christ raised up and seated together with him in heavenly places, by one sacrifice he has already perfected those who are in the process of transformation or sanctification.
We are the bride of Christ, the object of God’s love, we are greatly loved, we are the beloved, and we are beginning to learn how to love Him back with that very eternal love that is in his heart towards us.
GENESIS 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good (indicates “goodness” in the sense of “perfection” or “completeness”) that the man should be alone apart from. It speaks of separation in the sense of only a part of something, referring to incompleteness. I will make him a help (unique companion or irreplaceable companion and helper) meet for him.
When God made man, he was incomplete, there was something missing. God made man so that he could have a being that could love him back on the same level. But the man was incomplete, there was something missing, of all the beautiful animals that God created, there was none he found, that could literally thrill Adams heart.
So he put Adam into a very deep, deep sleep and when he woke up what he found was someone who just literally thrilled his heart, who became the object of his greatest affection.
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep a deep unconscious state to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs the word means side, a (chamber) side room- in relation to the tabernacle, It refers to a side or rib from a side of a human body , and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made- the word means to build, build up, construct. to fashion.”
God is the first person in the Bible to “build” something, He takes a rib from Adam and “builds” or “fashions” it into a woman and brought her unto the man.
23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, my and flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave. The word cleave is a verb meaning to cling to, join with, stay with, to be united, hold fast, to be joined fast, be stuck together unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
God took a rib right next to his heart and fashioned from it that which would absolutely just absolutely thrill his heart. There are no human words that can describe it.
Adam woke up with utter amazement, he was astonished and said this it it! This is it! This is the one, this is the one! This woman! This woman is bone of my bone. This is it! this is the other part of myself. This is the affection of my heart, my heart’s desire, this is the love of my life! This is the completion of myself.
It was love at first sight. It was the part of Adam, that was designed and uniquely fashioned that Adam was capable of loving with all of his heart. There are no human words that can describe it! It is called first love.
I Corinthians 11:7 but the woman is the glory- highly thought of, honor, splendor, beauty, respect, magnificence, excellence, perfection of the man. 8For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man. 9Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
The woman was created for man, the purpose of the woman was to be adored, to be respected, highly thought of, to be deeply loved, to be loved intensely, to be worshiped in a sense, for when she is loved properly by a man, we are worshiping God, because we are treating her the way that God intended her to be treated.
Man in the generic sense speaking of the human race is the glory of god. And woman- the same word is wife –is the glory of man.
Eve is a type of the bride of Christ, the way Adam felt about eve is a type of the way that God feels about us, only His love for us is so great we cannot comprehend it with the human mind.
We are the creation of love, the very desire of Gods heart. He cannot stop thinking about us. We are the bride of Christ, exclusively created for God to love, to be adored.
The purpose of women in the earth is to be adored. When women are loved correctly, when they are treated the way that God designed them to be treated, with honor, with dignity, with the utmost respect, then the different cultures of the he earth begin to become enlightened and thrive, they are civilized and safe.
But when the role of woman in the earth is something less, where they are misused and not honored the way God intended, then that whole society begins to crumble and fall apart. When women are loved properly, then the blessing of God abides upon the home, the city, the state, the country, the nation.
But wherever women are not treated properly, then we start to see the role of woman becoming perverted, we see pornography- films, magazines, , photographs, or other materials that are sexually explicit and intended to cause sexual arousal.
The woman God created for man to love, and adore now becomes an object of lust.
We see prostitution, women selling their body, because there are not loved properly. We see the role of woman being perverted to the point of being kidnapped, bought and sold and used in the sex-slave trade, which is the absolute antithesis of why God created them.
Women are to be cherished, greatly loved and highly respected, the object of man’s affection.
When a woman is not greatly loved and romanced, there is a great need in her heart that is not being met, and the institution of marriage falls apart.
A marriage should be an experiencing together of that spiritual fusion, that spiritual union which the Holy Spirit brings to make it the entwining of two lives in a completeness of spirit, soul, and body, that they might do the will of the Lord together.
A meditation especially suited for marriage is found in the words of Ruth to Naomi: … Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. Thus may the Lord do to me, and worse, if anything but death parts you and me.” When she saw that she was determined to go with her, she said no more to her. Ruth 1:16–18.
This is the kind of love a couple should have. Marriage is the ultimate blessing of the Lord, when the people that God has joined together our mature in the Lord.
A lot of marriages struggle because the man has not grown spiritually enough to enable the Holy Spirit to live and love through him. If a man is totally filled and led by the Holy Spirit, any woman of God will follow him, because the Holy Spirit is a genius at marriage.
We love the Lord because he has first loved us, when we get a revelation of being the beloved, that he sees nothing wrong with us only what is missing of his love being perfected in us and is determined to become that to us, then we begin to love him back.
A lot of married couples are not really living together they are existing together because there is not that oneness of spirit, soul and body.
The husband being the head of the family must be willing to live with his wife in a total way. He needs to live in her spirit, live in her soul, to live in her mind, and emotions, to live with her in a total way.
I am going to bring you into the hidden recesses of everything that I am. There will be no secret compartments. Do not shut me out, because I will never shut you out.” That is what Ruth said. That is the kind of total love we can have. Ruth’s love was a determined love.
