Apart from coming as the Lamb of God to take away he sin of the world, another great purpose of life of Jesus on earth was to give a living demonstration of the kingdom of God. From the beginning of his public ministry, Jesus preached the Kingdom of God. That is, he invited lost men and women to repent, to leave their independence, self-governing lives, to come back into the kingdom of God, and to live like him. This would mean they would have to stop living to please themselves and instead live as Jesus Was. They would have to live a life of total obedience and dependence upon God the father. Once that primary decision of repentance was made, it was possible to grant them unconditional forgiveness of all their sins and deliver them completely from Satan’s power through the cross.
