Demons enslave you.
Let’s say you’ve committed a sin in the area of sex. You repent, you go to Jesus, you receive forgiveness and cleansing, you’re justified. Just as if you’d never sinned. That’s all finished with.
But if after all that you still have this intense drive to commit the same sin again, even though you hate it. You’re enslaved. One very common example is masturbation. Now some psychologists and people say masturbation is all right, it’s healthy.
I do not argue about things like this, I try and avoid the subject of sin. But I looked up the two root words it consists of and the word sin means 1-no 2-inheritance.
Our primary inheritance we receive from God is His divine nature. He is our inheritance. So, if we are practicing sin, we are not partaking of the divine nature.
We need to live a lifestyle of repentance. Repentance is a gift from God. The word repent consists of two root words. 1-with 2- His thoughts coming into our mind. When you learn how to hear his voice continually, then the very thought of sin is foolishness. But addiction is a very powerful force. In and of ourselves we are powerless over addictions, we need God’s help.
He is a very present help in the time of trouble. We need to learn how to appropriate His power in our spirit and then exercise Authority over spirits to be an overcomer.
When you learn how to walk in the Spirit you are on such a high level that you do not want anything to bring you back down to the lower level of behaving like a mere man or woman, experiencing the emotions of a human being, they are either high or low, never consistent.
There is nothing that compares to being filled with the Spirit, there is no drug, no lust of the flesh, there is nothing that compares to experiencing the fruit of the Spirit.
In His presence there is fullness of joy, and if you consistently walk in the Spirit, no good thing will God withhold from you, because it will always be secondary to the ecstasy of being in the presence of the majesty of God. God blesses me so much, I cry tears of joy every day, I have had to tell Him to stop it, when I walk into a public place, because people will think something is wrong with me.
I am ashamed to say this, but for the sake of the message, I know if you commit masturbation, it quenches the spirit of God in you because you are filled with lust, and you won’t be able to feel the presence of God or spirituality afterwords. Thank God, his mercies are new every morning. In the morning that terrible feeling will be gone.
But I know there are thousands of people who do it and hate themselves for doing it. And every time they say never again, but it never works. They are enslaved and it is a demon of masturbation. It’s very common.
When I got cancer, I think the radiation I went through was what caused me not to be able to have sex anymore. If I ever got married, I would want to be able to please my wife, a totally self-less desire I have, but maybe it doesn’t matter anymore when you get older. I am 64 years old, so it is not that important to me anymore, but what about a woman that is my age? I don’t know, I am a guy, But I do know how to romance a woman and make her feel like she is the most special woman in the world.
This type of spirit, and it really is a spirit, has certain specific manifestations. But it’s very stubborn. It can affect a person’s fingers; they may tingle, go stiff, and even bend backwards. It is different than a spirit of lust.
You need to rebuke it. Renounce it. Claim the cleansing blood of Jesus and get rid of it. You must be persistent, but you have the authority and once it leaves, it will wait for an opportune time to come back and try to get inside of your soul and body, so you must be aware of these spirits and how they operate and guard your heart. Make a covenant with your eyes like Job did.
