God mostly speaks to us in spontaneous thoughts (The Holy Spirit brings to our remembrance, He does this all the time, we also have thoughts concerning spiritual things, that we have never heard before). These thoughts sound like our thoughts.
But the enemy also works through spontaneous thoughts and gets us to believe a lie.
An example of something that is spontaneous, would be being in a desert, and a bush caught on fire. This I believe would happen to Moses, when he fled Pharaoh and lived in the wilderness.
Moses saw bushes on fire before, but this one was different.
Exodus 2:15 Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. 2 And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So, he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. 3 Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.”
4 So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!”
A spontaneous thought is one that you do not start like when you are thinking on something. These thoughts just suddenly come into our minds, and they sound like our thoughts.
But there is also a feeling that come with them, we must learn how to discern this, thoughts have a certain feel to them. And the enemy cannot counterfeit the fruit of the Spirit, he has none.
How tricky the enemy is with the imaginations and thoughts that he imposes upon people. How subtle is his deception when he convinces them that they are their thoughts. How people can labor along so defeated, because they have accepted as their own thought that which has been nothing more than a fiery dart of the enemy.
Whenever you have set your heart and dedicated yourself to walk with the Lord, and are committed to that walk and dedication, and you’re thinking and emotions and attitude change, and you feel guilt, shame, and condemnation, and you feel like you have let God down it is probably the enemy. Likely, it is not your thought, and you had better find out where it is coming from before you accept it as your own.
If you did sin, then just confess it and God will forgive you (the word forgiven in the Greek means- to send forth. To send forth the power and force of the thing away from you.
It is typified in the Old Testament-when the priest would lay his hands on the scape goat, and confess the sins of the people over it, and then send it away into the wilderness. This is the principle of transference.
The sins of the people were transferred to the animal, and then the animal was killed on behalf of the people. The wages of sin is death. So, the animal died instead of the person, symbolizing that the penalty for sin was paid, so that the person could appropriate forgiveness. They had to believe that their sins were transferred to the animal. We must believe where we have sinned or failed God that it was nailed to the cross-transference. We should have no consciousness of sin or failure in our mind.
If you accept a thought that is attached with a deep emotion for any period of time as your own, it will become your own, until it is very deep within your own thought. But if you refuse it, and say out loud, “Satan, that’s not mine, you can take that thought back to the pit with you, that isn’t my thinking, and I want no part of it”—the minute you do that, you will be surprised how you will retain by your choice, within the power of the Holy Spirit, the right to accept or reject a great deal of the thoughts and attitudes that come to wipe you out.
The first enemy we encounter is fear-in the past we have been driven by a 100 forms of fear. The fear of missing out in life, all fear comes under the head demon of fear-the fear of death. The fearful and unbelieving leads the list of those who do not inherit the kingdom-Rev 21:8.
Then we have to deal with guilt, rejection, insecurity, oppressions, burdens not from God, strife, division…etc.
Because of what we know about the principle of transference, we can completely control what the enemy brings against us in the way of witchcraft or curses, and create counter pressure that brings absolute, total destruction to everything that comes against the people of the Lord.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. I Peter 5:7, KJV. To whom is that written? Peter is writing to the elders (verse 1).
Casting all our care upon him is like throwing a ball, you are no longer holding that ball but it has been separated from you.
Transference has to work in a lot of ways. It must work with ministries: they must be able to take your cares and cast them upon the Lord, because He careth for you. Do you understand that?
You say, “Well, I have been carrying So-and-so’s burden.” Christ carried them! Christ is the One to whom they are being transferred. Transference works only for you to be a burden bearer to the Lord.
Intercession is not you perpetually groaning as you try to share another person’s burden. You get under the load of intercession by using the principle of transference. You carry it to the Lord, and the Lord bears the burden.
There is no point in your trying to carry it; what could you do with it? You cannot carry anything. Get this in your spirit and mind, because it works and is basic to the ministry.
The ministry of healing and the ministry of laying hands on people for impartation is transferring to them what the Holy Spirit brings of the glorious attributes and anointings of the Lord to rest upon individuals, or to take from them their oppression and to bring judgment to it.
But do not let just anyone lay hands on you, especially your head. Unless you know that person is being Led by the Spirit or you could receive negative transference. In the past we have let to many ministers lay hands on us, who we did not know, and were not aware of what kind of ministry they have. Then you just repent, and cast that oppression upon the Lord, He will lift it off you.
There are many ministries just building their own little kingdoms and not the Lords. Their position in the church is pedestal, their ministry is an idol before the Lord, and they are not co-partnering with the Holy Spirit and are just doing their own thing.
Do you want to see how this can work for you? Are you tired of being oppressed, tired of picking up something from somebody and not knowing what to do with it or not being able to handle it?
Some people go for weeks or months in a daze because they had contact with some force that transferred things to them.
Everything in the realm of spirit moves toward a certain objective and will accomplish its purpose or function. Or, if it is diverted, it returns. This is true of God; it is true of Satan.
If God sends a blessing to you and you do not receive it, the blessing circles back again. That is why the Lord tells you to bless and curse not (Romans 12:14). If you curse someone and he knows how to avoid the curse, you will kill yourself with it, like a snake that bites itself.
God says, “You send a blessing, and if no one receives the blessing, it will return to you.”
We are going to learn just exactly how to bring an end to much of the oppression that has been coming at us.
Now, here is the secret which really makes it work. People who are unconsecrated to the Lord often fall victims to transference; witchcraft could easily kill them. But there is a place of immunity in which a child of God can walk. John writes about it in his first epistle, when he says, “These are the sons of God, and the wicked one toucheth them not” (I John 5:18).
How can a man, by the very spiritual level he lives upon, position himself in an immunity where Satan cannot even touch him? If we know this, we can control transference. If Satan cannot touch us, he cannot get to us to oppress us. Oh, there must be some secret key, but it can’t be too mysterious because it worked in the Bible! It is so simple, but it is something we have missed.
Let me tell you something: you will not walk in this victory merely because you have had an experience. You will not walk in it because today you had a Word over you, or hands were laid upon you. All of that happened before, and it did not give you immunity. There is a difference between some basic experience from the Lord and walking in the fullness of God.
It is only the fullness of God that creates the counterpressure’s so great that the force which comes at you is totally rejected. To the extent that you can block off or send back the assault of the enemy by the fullness of the Spirit within you, to that extent the enemy is totally brought to repentance or destruction or judgment!
If the enemy comes against you, and you have a flow of the Spirit to prophesy, something happens. To some extent it returns on the head of the one who sent it, and you see dealings of the Lord upon them. But we are interested in more than that. We are interested in really turning something loose. “Whosoever is born of God overcomes the world” (I John 5:4). Does he really? How does he overcome the world?
Let’s read I John 4:4: You are from God, little children, and have overcome them (the false prophets, the antichrist). How are we going to overcome the antichrist? Because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
“Oh yes, I know; Jesus is in me.”
But He is not activated in His fullness. That is why it doesn’t work. It is one thing to have a token experience of a great truth; it is another thing to walk in the Spirit of the Lord.
“Well, I talk in tongues.”
Yes, one hundred and twenty people talked in tongues on the day of Pentecost and Acts 2:4 says that they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. One hundred and twenty people filled with the Holy Spirit started a counterattack that swept thousands into the Kingdom the same day. Today four or five thousand people speak in tongues, and one hundred and twenty could listen and still say, “They’re crazy! Stupid!” What is the difference? “They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke with other tongues.” It is the fullness of God within us, it is being so filled with the Spirit of the Lord that creates the greater signs and wonders.
Combat Communication
A spirit of illusion can hit the churches to create division. In our striving for oneness, the assault against it was a spirit of illusion, a lying spirit to create division. The illusions were not the truth at all, but people battled division with their walls up, all based on an illusion.
Satan himself comes with a hypnotic deep despair that hits you. And with this comes a deep depression until the deception is accepted to the point that you actually find yourself losing your grip on the Words that have been confirmed to you, and what you really know to be the will of God.
This is an important sign. The only time that this sign comes is when Satan himself personally hits us in battle. That is the sign of Satan—that hypnotic despair. You feel numb when it hits.
This brings us to the problem of transference: Good transference is based upon a revelation of the Word of God and the simplicity and purity of the channel that gives it. But evil transference is based upon a deceptive transformation of Satan’s agents. Christ said in Matthew 24:24 that if it were possible they would deceive the very elect. That’s why this battle becomes so subtle. We’re going to have to drill our sheep and train them on these tactics of Satan. If we don’t, he may pick them off one by one.
When this divisive deception comes, you would swear that it was the truth, but it’s transference. I can’t believe how many things may seem to be true one day in a battle, and the next day you know them to be absolutely false—that they were not true at all, and that they weren’t based upon any fact at all.
I think that this problem of division during this period of transition from the Church Age to the Kingdom is one of deception. Deception and division is satanic, while the whole thing on our part is revelation and oneness. And we will have revelation from God and will walk as one.
In II Corinthians 11:3 Paul had written to the Corinthians, “I am afraid lest as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness so your mind should be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.” These complications make your life full of so many things that you’re doing, so many good things, battling so many good problems that you don’t do the best thing. You never see the principal thing really accomplished. You’re often so busy trying to put out little brush fires that you don’t attain the real oneness of the Kingdom, the relationship that God wanted, that unity of spirit, that revelation of Himself that He was trying to bring to your heart.
