Pathway of responsibility 1

The pathway of relationship leads to deeper intimacy with God and reveals our identity as sons of God as we engage with God’s presence within us.  Flowing from inside out – heaven through the gateways of our spirit, soul and body to the world around us. We can establish and rule the spheres of the kingdom of God around us.

Growing in maturity as a son of God by accessing heavenly authority. Knowing our position in the heavens. Zech 3:7 Maturing in our positions of lordship, kingship and sonship to learn how to rule the house and have charge of the courts.

We have heavenly and earthly spheres of authority and government.

Matt 6:10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.  It is our responsibility to learn how to establish the “as it is” of the kingdom in heaven, so it can manifest on earth.  As God’s children, His sons we have been given the mandate or authority to rule.

Gen 1:28 God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over … it. This world is just the start – the whole of creation awaits us.  Adam gave away the right to rule. Jesus restored the right to rule.

John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.  As eternal spirit beings it has always been our destiny to rule as sons of God.

What does it mean to rule?

Rom 8:15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow, joint or coheirs with Christ.

Responsibility what is it?   The state or fact of having a duty to deal with something or of having control over something or someone.   Something that it is your job to deal with:   Synonyms: authority, control, power, leadership, management, influence.   To be in a position of authority over someone or something. To have a duty to make certain that particular things are done. The state or fact of being accountable for something. Synonyms: accountable, blame, fault, guilt, culpability.

Fear of responsibility because of Past experiences of failure, being blamed, judged.  Those things lead us to:  Fear of failure.  Fear of getting blamed.  Fear of being held accountable. Fear of being judged.

We have a wrong perspective of God as one who will judge us and punish us if we get it wrong. Jesus has already dealt with sin on the cross so we can be restored to sonship. God fathers us as His sons. God trains us, disciplines or disciples us as His sons.

Heb 12:7 It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 10 but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness. 11 All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.

Eph 5:25 just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, 26 so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.

Rom 8:19 For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. 21 that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.

Rev 3:21 He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Eph 2:5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,

A throne is a position of authority that symbolizes the ruling and reigning of a king. Jesus came and declared the kingdom of God is here at hand.  Kingdom is the Greek word basileia. Not to be confused with an actual kingdom but rather the right or authority to rule over a kingdom.

Royal power, kingship, dominion, rule.  Of the royal power of Jesus as the triumphant Messiah.  Jesus as King of kings and Lord of lords received the kingdom and He has the power and authority to remove and give authority to rule.

Dan 7:13 “I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven One like a Son of Man was coming, and He came up to the Ancient of Days And was presented before Him. 14 “And to Him was given dominion, glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations and men of every language Might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which will not pass away; and His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed.  . Jesus receives the kingdom.

Matt 21:43 Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people, producing the fruit of it.  Kingdom taken away from the old covenant people of God and given to new covenant people of God. Royal priesthood of a new heavenly order of Melchizedek.

Dan 7:27 Then the sovereignty, the dominion and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Highest One; His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will serve and obey Him.’  Jesus gives us the kingdom.

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvellous light;

Col 1:13 For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,

Rev 1:5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood— 6 and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father— to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Rev 5:10 “You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth.”

Rev 11:15 “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.”

Dan 2:35 But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

Dan 2:44 In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever.

Isa 2:2 Now it will come about that in the last days the mountain of the house of the Lord will be established as the chief of the mountains, and will be raised above the hills; and all the nations will stream to it. 3 and many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; that He may teach us concerning His ways and that we may walk in His paths.”

The kingdom is a position of authority from our identity as sons that carries responsibility to reveal God’s glory.  Num 14:21 but indeed, as I live, all the earth will be filled with the glory of the Lord.

Hab 2:14 “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

Isa 60:1 “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. 2 “For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the Lord will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you. 3 “Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.

Eph 1:18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints  . It is our inheritance to fulfill the creation mandate of sonship

Acts 3:20 and that He may send Jesus, the Christ appointed for you, 21 whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.  We are coheirs in this process of restoration. Creation itself will respond to our sonship

2 Cor 1:20 For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.  With the rights of sonship and such great promises and blessing comes great responsibility.

As sons and coheirs in the kingdom we have been given the responsibility for the created order.

Rom 5:17… much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.  We are in training to become mature sons. We have a Father and Brother and many created beings e.g. 7 spirits of God and Wisdom, cloud of witnesses and angels that are available to tutor and disciple us.

Gal 4:1 Now I say, as long as the heir is a child, he does not differ at all from a slave although he is owner of everything, 2 but he is under guardians, tutors and managers until the date set by the father.. 6 Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” 7 Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.

We are all sons and heirs but we need to mature to adulthood. Childish things have to be put away as we are in training for reigning. We are being tutored and trained, discipled and fathered to be able to take responsibility as a co-heir of the kingdom.

If the blessings, the empowerment to prosper and succeed, and the place of authority is in the heavenly realms we have to learn to access those realms. This access must be current not just if we die. Right through the bible we see people who accessed an open heaven. We need to know how to access heaven.

John 10:9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.

John 3:13 No one has gone up into heaven, but there is One who came down from heaven, the Son of Man Himself—whose home is in heaven.  Heaven is now open to us as sons.

Pathway of Responsibility is where we walk under an open heaven with access to enter into heaven.  This reality is seen right through the bible and in history: Enoch, Noah, Jacob, Moses, 70 Elders, Joshua, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Joshua, Jesus, Paul and John are examples we have same invitation to come up here.

Gen 3:24 So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to the tree of life.   Adam and Eve could have accessed Eden but they would have had to go through the fire. They chose to hide “in the bushes” and made their own coverings.

Gen 5:24 Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

Gen 6:9 These are the records of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God.

Where was God? – In heaven. Gen 28:12. He had a dream, and behold, a ladder was set on the earth with its top reaching to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. 16 Then Jacob… said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” 17 He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.”

Ex 24:9 Then Moses went up with Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, 10 and they saw the God of Israel; and under His feet there appeared to be a pavement of sapphire, as clear as the sky itself.

Ex 24:13 So Moses arose with Joshua his servant, and Moses went up to the mountain of God.

2 Kings 2:1 And it came about when the Lord was about to take up Elijah by a whirlwind to heaven,

Isa 9:1 In the year of King Uzziah’s death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple.  Isaiah engaged the fire and the Seraphim and a mandate in a heavenly temple.

Zech 3:1 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.  Joshua engaged the mobile court and was shown heavenly positions of authority in sonship.
