Scriptures contain numerous commands for us to rejoice. Giving thanks is good for us. The culture of heaven is founded on celebration. All heaven rejoices in the presence of God. Joy is the nature of the father and the chief element in the environment around his throne. Joy is a necessity. Its power cannot be overestimated. A delightful contagious way to live. God is happy. We live daily under his smile. He is a delight to us. As we learn to be thrilled by him our own enjoyment of life increases.
We cannot afford to be without joy. The view of life we receive in joy becomes our best aid to faith. The joyless areas of our heart and daily routine must be subjected to fierce examination. All negative emotions are temporary. Joy is a permanent condition. Return to joy with the utmost urgency.
