Restoration 1

As sons of God we have a relationship with him that leads to responsibility. We need to take our heavenly positions, seated and enthroned to legislate the kingdom in heaven to manifest heaven on earth. What is the primary purpose of all the legislation that we do?  What are we looking to accomplish?

The context of legislation should be the restoration of all things back to God’s original intent. We are going to embark on a journey to discover the full meaning of the restoration of all things. We are going to look at the scope of restoration and the part we all have to play in restoration as sons of God.

I believe we are going to see Love overcome the greatest darkness and a new era of Light birthed across the Earth.  The end result there will be no war, no sickness and a restored world. How can we know this? The future is already agreed and when it comes it will change quickly. “I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.” Isaiah 60.22.

Acts 3:19 Therefore repent and return, so that the sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; 20 and that He may send Jesus, the Christ appointed for you, 21 whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.

The context for restoration is discovered in our sonship. If we are not restored then creation will not be restored. The restoration of all things begins with Jesus working in us now not in a future event of His coming one day in the future.

Rom 8:14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ.

Rom 8:14-17 The original life of the Father revealed in his son is the life the Spirit now conducts within us. Slavery is such a poor substitute for sonship! They are opposites; the one leads forcefully through fear while sonship responds fondly to Abba Father.

Rom 8:14-17 His Spirit resonates within our spirit to confirm the fact that we originate in God. Because we are his offspring, we qualify to be heirs; God himself is our portion, we co-inherit with Christ. Since we were represented and included in his suffering we equally participate in the glory of his resurrection.

As God’s sons we need to know what we are coheirs of so we can be involved the government of the kingdom of God. What is the extent of our responsibility and over what do we have authority. Gen 1:28 God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over – is this the end or the beginning?

Rom 8:19 For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. 21 that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.  Restoration goes beyond just the earth to include all creation.

Esther one of the cloud of witnesses came to remind us of our identity. Esther 4:14 And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?”  Esther 4:14 Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

Esther went through a process of purification to prepare her to engage the king. Jesus has already made us righteous therefore worthy to access the King now. Do we believe we are already worthy or do we believe the lies that make us less than ready?

Do we believe the vast sum of God’s thoughts about us as His sons or are we believing the lies of an orphan spirit?  We do need transformation by the renewing of our minds to enable us to agree with and believe what God already believes about us and what He has already done for us.

We are sons of God called and chosen to be participators and not just be bystanders and observers in the restoration process. If we are to take our places as sons of God seated in heavenly places then we need to know what God’s overall plan and purpose is. We need revelation through relationship.

Eph 3:16-18 I desire for you to become intimately acquainted with the love of Christ on the deepest possible level; far beyond the reach of a mere academic, intellectual grasp. So that you may be filled with all the fullness of God! Awaken to the consciousness of his closeness! Separation is an illusion! Oneness was God’s idea all along!

Ephesians 1:3 Let’s celebrate God! He lavished every blessing heaven has upon us in Christ! 4 He associated us in Christ before the fall of the world! Jesus is God’s mind made up about us! He always knew in his love that he would present us again face-to-face before him in blameless innocence.

Ephesians 1:4 God found us in Christ before he lost us in Adam! 5 He is the architect of our design; his heart dream realized our coming of age in Christ. 6 His grace-plan is to be celebrated: he greatly endeared us and highly favoured us in Christ. His love for his Son is his love for us.

Ephesians 1:9 The secret is out! His cherished love dream now unfolds in front of our very eyes. In the economy of the fullness of time, everything culminates in Christ. All that is in heaven and all that is on earth is reconciled in him. 11 This is how we fit into God’s picture.

Acts 3:19 Therefore repent and return, so that the sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; 20 and that He may send Jesus, the Christ appointed for you, repent and return, the sins wiped . Times of refreshing from the presence

Repent Metanoia “with mind” agreeing with God’s mind about us. Return Epistrephó turn back towards, take back, turned around, turn to myself (true self is God’s truth about my identity, destiny and purpose). The sins – fallen identity loss of image is blotted out, expunged from the record through the cross.

Times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;  Refreshing anápsyksis – properly, breathe easily (again); hence, refreshing; ” ‘cooling,’ or ‘reviving with fresh air.’ “

Gen 2:7 Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being . John 20:22 He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

Gen 3:8 They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 He said, “I heard the sound of You in the garden.

Restored of relationship, identity and conditions for face to face refreshing from the presence of the lord. Restored walking relationship with the Father’s presence that was refreshing. Restoration of what was in the beginning on earth but there more than that we are to be restored to.

Eccl 12:5 For man goes to his eternal home while mourners go about in the street. 7 then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it. Our spirit came from God and now does not need death to return to God. We have access to eternity now.

1 Thes 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.  God’s presence will restore us to wholeness spirit ,soul and body.

1 Cor 6:11 you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.1 Cor 6:17 But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him.  Intimacy returning to where we originated – Spirit wholeness oneness.

I believe we can be restored to the fullness of who we were as spirit beings before we became living beings. I believe that our eternal destiny can be restored so we can be reconnected to who we were so we can become whole again.

Act 3:20 and that He may send Jesus, the Christ appointed for you, 21 whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.  God has sent Jesus, Jesus is continually coming and Jesus’ presence is always here.

Jesus stays in heaven physically until a period of restoration not an event. Is Jesus coming after, before or during the period of restoration of all things?  When is the period has it already started if so when?  It started with the cross, resurrection and ascension and we are in the period.

What is restoration?  Whose responsibility is it to see all things restored?   How are all things going to be restored?  What are the all things to be restored?  How far back does the all things go?

Acts 3:21 who must remain in heaven until the time of universal restoration that God announced long ago through his holy prophets. Act 3:21 who must receive heaven until the time that all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began, are restored again.

Act 3:19-21… ! Turn to face God so he can wipe away your sins, pour out showers of blessing to refresh you, and send you the Messiah he prepared for you, namely, Jesus. For the time being he must remain out of sight in heaven until everything is restored to order again just the way God, through the preaching of his holy prophets of old, said it would be.

Act 3:20-21 Then he will send you Jesus, your long-heralded Christ, although for the time he must remain in Heaven until that universal restoration of which God spoke in ancient times through all his holy prophets.

Jesus is not coming back at some future event to restore all things. His presence with us and in us now is the agent for restoration. Jesus will return physically when period of restoration of all things is complete and then we continue as that is the beginning not the end.

All things Greek Pas–- all, the whole, every kind of. All things mean “all” in the sense of “each and every part that applies.” The emphasis of the total picture then is on “one piece at a time,” viewing the whole in terms of all the individual parts.

Jesus is raising up mankind from a state of ruin, and restoring to us the image of God, as we possessed it before the beginning. That is just the beginning if the concept of the restoration of all things does not stretch you then you have not really grasped it.

What the prophets said in the past refers to the “times or period” not to the “things”. They said there would be a period of restoration of all things but that restoration is not limited to just the things they said would be restored. Prophets spoke so everything they said may not be recorded in the bible.

Meaning of restoration. English definition the action of returning something to a former owner, place, or condition . The act or process of returning something to its earlier good condition or position.

Unlike the regular dictionary meaning of “restoration” the biblical definition of the word has greater connotations that go far above and beyond the typical everyday usage.

Restoration of All Things . The biblical meaning of the word “restoration” is to receive back more than has been lost to the point where the final state is greater than the original condition.  The main point is that someone or something is improved beyond their current or previous measure.

Look into the eyes of the Prince of Peace those the deep pools of the way truth and life.

Close your eyes and begin to think of Jesus and continue to look into those eyes. Ask Jesus to reveal your name, your identity and your position as sons of God.

Ask Jesus to take you beyond where you have been before. Let Jesus take you back to your origin within the heart of God.

Let the Father reveal the vast sum of His thought about you to restore you to His ideal. Let the truth of God’s original intention for you begin to restore your identity as a son.
