The conflict between walking with the Lord and functioning in the secular world at the same time has seemed to be a contradiction — an incompatibility that seemed to challenge the reconciliation of both worlds.
I have come to understand that the two can be reconciled. The two must become one. We live in this world in our body, but in our spirit, we can live with the Lord.
JOHN 3:13 And no man hath ascended to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
Jesus was both in heaven and on the earth at the same time. Living in the natural world and walking with the Lord in the Spirit requires a whole new discipline — a whole new way of life.
Our spirit man must lead, and our mind and emotions must follow. For most of us, this order is reversed.
Our soulish life must serve to follow our spirit man, which is joined to the Lord. All our springs of refreshing must be in Him. All the initiative must begin in the spirit and be walked out on earth through the soul and body.
“Jesus will return in our day. We must be ready. Time is short”. You must prepare to feed the harvest that will be reaped. You must feed them with food that will mature them more quickly than any other preceding generation. Be diligent, be determined. Finish your course with joy.”
We are on the home stretch, and we must not stumble now. The finishing line is in sight and God will soon usher in a brand-new world of peace and great joy. Until then, we must work while it is yet day.
Where are you going? When the Lord asks us a question, it is not because He is looking for an answer, as He knows all things. He is trying to get us to evaluate something.
“Everything in the Lord’s kingdom has a purpose. Everything Jesus created is linked to him and obeys him. Only man disobeys him. But if we are born from above, and go through the transformation process, we will obey him also in all things.
All of creation is alive and was designed to respond to our thoughts, emotions and will and voice, the reason it exists is to serve us.
“If all creation has a purpose, then what about you?”
“Most Christians in our world pass through life without any well-defined purpose other than getting to heaven when they die.” Most Christians struggle to find God’s will for their lives.
When our spirit is connecting with God in first love intimacy, it is like touching a live wire, that opens the door to the kingdom realm of God’s Spirit and we receive revelation we never had before and in a moment, EVERYTHING became crystal clear. The meaning of life seemed profound, yet simple. We realize that “Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of His waterfalls.” (Psalms 42:7)
When the river of life is flowing, whatever its waters touched would come alive in such a way that its meaning and purpose would become crystal clear.
“Where are you going?” We are on a journey to become like Jesus.” Our primary quest — is to become like Jesus.” Why do we so quickly lose sight of this as the major purpose of our lives here on earth?
If becoming like Jesus is not our primary quest in this life then we will not successfully fulfil our secondary calling, which we call our ministry.
