Teaching

The purpose of teaching, of learning is not to just acquire knowledge. Because knowledge puffs us up, it can take away that necessary ingredient of humility where we receive the grace of God, His divine ability, and make us proud. Then God will resist us.

The purpose of teaching is so that we can walk with God.

What does it mean to walk with God? It means that God is in control of what we do, of what we think and feel, our attitudes, our responses. He is in control of everything concerning our life. It is a partnership. We are partaking of His divine nature so that we are transformed. Transformation is living by a different life source, so that we cannot take any credit. Jesus becomes to us absolutely everything we need to be conformed to His image. He becomes our righteousness, our sanctification, our wisdom, our love, our joy, our peace and the list seems to be infinite. Therefore God is glorified in our life, because it is no longer us who live, but Christ who lives through us.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God.
