The gospel of the Kingdom is the gospel that Jesus preached. The bible is a concealed revelation, in order to understand it; the Holy Spirit who is sent to teach us must open up our spiritual eyes.
The Holy Spirit is the teacher. God has set certain ministries in the Church that the Holy Spirit will use, until we come to maturity where we are led by the Spirit and can hear His Voice.
The Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the New Testament in Greek, unless we study the original language we lose a lot in the translation. We are to study every word in the bible and how it is used. The Holy Spirit used men to write the bible, but the more we study it the more we realize that it is inspired by God (the revelation of it by the Holy Spirit keeps expanding) and it was given so that we would have a basis for our faith to be based upon.
We are to live by every Word the Holy Spirit reveals to us, As the Spirit opens our eyes and we hear what God is saying to us, we have to hold fast that word by meditating on it and allowing it to govern our lives.
When God speaks a Word he imparts Himself in that word, as it is revealed to us by the Holy Spirit an understanding comes to us, that we did not have before, it is as if a light comes on, and it penetrates us deeply where we know it is God, because we experience Him in it.
There is power in revelation, it not only illuminates our mind, but also impacts our emotions. And comes through our spirit joined to the Lord and flows into the mind, emotions, and will of our soul. And if we instantly act upon it, we will have the grace to do it! This is how the grace of God works, we go from grace to grace, faith to faith, strength to strength and glory to glory.
Unless we experience the word, we have not really heard the word but are leaning upon our own understanding. Hearing the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God coming into our hearts, where we experience His mind and feelings.
Just hearing the Holy Spirit which is called being once enlightened, is not enough. The word must be written upon our heart where it becomes part of the divine nature we are partaking of, the law of the Spirit of life, a spiritual condition of our heart. And the purer our heart becomes the clearer we begin to see or perceive God.
It becomes the way we respond, it becomes second nature, we become programmed by it. We experience the spirit of the word, we experience God’s thinking and feelings, His attitudes and motivations, which are on a higher level than man-as heaven is from earth.
When the word is written upon our heart we manifest the Spirit of God, the divine nature, the fruit of God’s Spirit, we manifest Jesus Christ. When the Word is written upon our heart, then His divine attributes- His Spirit moving in our hearts, is governing our motivations, intention’s, attitudes, thinking, feelings, words and actions. The fruit of His Spirit grows in our lives and keeps expanding. We experience greater love, joy, and peace.
Jesus is coming forth in His people to be glorified in them, to be formed in them. Until the living word has come to maturity in a believer, that believer will manifest the human nature to a certain degree or a religious spirit that is critical or judgmental, or full of pride.
Most believers do not have a walk in the Spirit of God, but manifest the self-nature, which is operating on a soulish level. You can discern it in their voice, it is like soul-music, it is very emotional, but these emotions do not originate with the Holy Spirit but come from the self-nature. The word they speak is not releasing the Spirit of God but there is a mixture and sometimes exalting of the self-nature.
Most of the church is still in the infant state, but God has a remnant that is coming to maturity, in which Jesus Christ will be manifest in them.
To become an oracle of God we have to be able to separate the human element from the divine. The word we have been hearing has not been pure because of the vessels.
To understand correctly the word of God we need to start with the teachings of Jesus recorded in the gospels and build our foundation from there.
The parable of the sower is a foundational parable because it explains to us the mystery of Christ in us the hope of Glory (being transformed into His image).
Jesus spoke to the multitudes in a parable, and then the disciples came to Him privately and asked Him to explain it. Mark 4: 13And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? And how (by what means) then will ye know all parables? This parable is foundational to understanding the rest of the mystery, of how God’s will comes forth in our lives.
There are four types of hearts- (only one kind of heart) will allow the incorruptible seed of God to produce a full-grown son of God!
When the word talks about the heart it is mostly talking about our soul, but when it is talking about the word being rooting in our heart in this parable it is talking about our spirit.
Math 13: 1The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side. 2And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. 3And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold (call attention to), a sower went forth (out of a place-heavenly places) to sow; 4And when he sowed, some seeds fell (from a higher to a lower place) by the wayside (hard ground), and the fowls (evil spirit) came and devoured (to consume) them up:
Mark4: 1And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land. 2And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine (the act of teaching, instruction), 3Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: 4And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.
Luke8: 4And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable: 5A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side (hard heart); and it was trodden down (to trample), and the fowls of the air devoured it
Math13: 19When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not (no revelation from the Holy Spirit because of the condition of their heart), then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away (snatches away) that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the wayside (hard heart).
Mark4: 15And these are they by the wayside (hard ground), where (of place heart) the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately (instantly), and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
Luke8: 12Those by the wayside are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away (remove) the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved (made whole, preserve safe from danger, loss, destruction).
There are four types of hearts- (only one kind of heart) will allow the incorruptible seed of God to produce a full-grown male or female son of God!
The first type of heart, we have all experienced at one time or another. It is experiencing a hard heart, but our goal is to experience an honest and good heart, to experience the pure heart that sees God.
The first type of heart (is a hard heart) the word (seed-D.N.A of God) is removed out of the heart, because there is no understanding (no opening of the spiritual eyes and ears).
The first type of hearer of the word of the kingdom is a person who hears the word, but it does not penetrate (enter) the heart and get into the womb of that person’s spirit.
Math13: 13Therefore speak I to them in parables (comparison, full of hidden meaning): because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
When Jesus talks in a parable, you cannot take it literally, it is a comparison of something natural, that has a deeper spiritual meaning that you will not understand, unless you set you will to walk in the Word.
An example of this is the parable of the rich man dying and going to hell, almost everyone takes this parable literally, Jesus was talking to his disciples and the Pharisees where there listening and then he addressed them with the Parable of the rich man who died, he was talking directly to the Pharisees and not his disciples. And was using it as a comparison with what the Pharisees believed at that time, with a potential of revealing a spiritual truth. But what was the truth that Jesus was attempting to reveal?
The Parable of Lazarus & The Rich Man in Luke 16 seems to show a visual view of an afterlife of conscious eternal torment, but it is in a parable form.
What is the context of Luke 16?
Luke 161And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his good 2And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.
Luke 16:11 Therefore if you have not been faithful in the use of unrighteous wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you? 13 No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
Luke 16:14 Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things and were scoffing at Him. 15 And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God.
Keep in mind that he is still talking at this time to the Pharisees.
Luke 16:19 “Now there was a rich man, and he habitually dressed in purple and fine linen, joyously living in splendour every day. 20 And a poor man named Lazarus was laid at his gate, covered with sores.
The context of this parable was the fact that the Pharisees were lovers of money and could care less about the suffering of others.
The parable of the rich man and Lazarus primary meaning is not about “hell”. The parable also represented what might have existed before the resurrection, but Enoch was never confined to this place that was in the center of the earth and God is not mentioned at all in this parable..
Luke 16 30And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. Luke 171Then said he unto the disciples
The parable is condemning the rich man for leaving Lazarus outside when the Law obligated Jews to provide for foreigners inside.
And the Pharisees claimed that Abraham was their father, but the truth Jesus was conveying to the Pharisees was that they were not hearing what Moses and the Prophets said therefore unable to repent and they were going to suffer the consequences, of not repenting and reap what they have sown, whether in this life or the next, because the unrepentant Pharisees that were still alive suffered greatly in 70 A.D
Now back to the parable of the Sower hearing they hear not. This is talking about the multitudes that are coming to hear Jesus. They are blind because they do not have eyes to see and ears to hear, this kind of person goes to church.
It is true that some people do not want to hear someone talking about the bible, but these are people who have gathered together to hear what Jesus had to say.
The Spirit of God has to remove the veil that is upon the heart. The God of this world (Satan) has blinded the minds of those who believe not.
This is not a human faith, but God commanding light to shine in the heart-imparting His faith. It is a gift from God; it is called being once enlightened. It is the God given ability to accept what His Spirit reveals. It is the beginning of understanding the mystery.
The opening of our spiritual eyes is the beginning of salvation, it is a spiritual experience that happens to us when our heavenly father is drawing us to Himself and we say yes to His will for our life and are born from above.
John 7: 16Jesus answered them, and said, my doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. 17If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
When God opens our spiritual ears, so that we can hear his voice, in the hearing we are receiving His spirit into our heart. This is a spiritual experience that is being taught as the new birth, but what is in reality is the conception of the seed of God in the human heart or spirit.
The word of God is conceived in our spirit. In one sense the spirit is saved, but the word has to grow until the soul is saved where the fruit of Gods life is birthed in it, the formation of the word in the heart.
Our heart consists of our spirit and soul. When our soul comes into conformity to our enlightened spirit, then there is fruit-Jesus is manifest in our life. This is the new birth; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. If there is any good that people see in our life, it is the Spirit of God in us who is motivating and controlling us because we are fully yielded to Him. We give Him all the glory!
When the bible talks about fruit it is talking about the soul of man coming under the Lordship of Jesus over their spirit, then our soul becomes more aware of what our spirit is sensing in union with God than what our body is sensing and the circumstances that we might be in.
And when our soul is continually sensing the fruit of the Spirit flowing into it, it begins to reprogram our physical brain. Our brain is like a computer that has been programed by the things we encounter in being in a fallen world, and things can trigger those programs and they run. But by the mind of our soul being renewed through revelation, every encounter with the Presence of God becomes accumulative and it reached down into the subconscious mind in our brain, and it begins to be reprogramed.
The salvation of the soul is a hidden mystery that is clearly taught in the bible and is now beginning to be restored to the Church. The reason it has not been understood is because there has been no clear teaching on the difference between the spirit and the soul. Believers have not been able to tell the difference between their spirit and their soul.
Math13: 5Some (same kind of seed) fell upon stony places(stony soil, rock underneath), where they had not much earth (vegetative power): and forthwith (instantly) they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: 6And when the sun was up , they were scorched (to burn, the fire of testing); and because they had no root (no firm hold on the word), they withered away (to dry up).
Mark4: 5And some fell on stony ground, where (of place) it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: 6But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
Luke8: 6And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away (dry up, inactive), because it lacked moisture( the water of the word).
Math13: 20But he that received the seed into stony places (rock underneath, they can see only the external blessing and not the cost), the same is he that heareth the word, and anon (immediately) with joy (imparted by the Spirits influence)receiveth it; 21Yet hath he not root (our spirit must absorb the word) in himself, but endureth for a while (for a season): for when tribulation (trouble, pressure) or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by (strait way, immediately)he is offended (to cause to stumble and fall, entice to sin, or displeasure, make to offend).
Mark4: 16And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive (to actively take) it with gladness (joy imparted by revelation); 17And have (continual possession, now) no (full negation) root (no firm hold, it is what we absorb that we walk in)in themselves, and so endure but for a time (temporal): afterward , when affliction (trouble, pressure, calamity)or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended (to cause to stumble and fall)
Luke8: 13They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive (to receive in order to embrace and follow)the word with joy (the influence of the Spirit); and these have no root (anchor, no firm hold, the part that absorbs, getting and retaining in the heart), which for a while (season) believe, and in time (season) of temptation (state of trial, testing of character)fall away (be removed from the place of standing). To be separated from the word. In times of testing we either hold fast the word or the word is separated from our responses. We respond in self, or we respond in the spirit of the word.
The second type of heart is a person who hears the word and understands it. These are the ones who have received Jesus as their Savor and God opens their eyes and ears and they experience the joy of the Lord. Their spirit has been enlightened. The seed of God has been conceived in the heart.
This type of heart is called stony places-WHERE-there is not much earth (vegetative power)-the seed of God is not able to take root, where it is written upon the heart. There is rock underneath; they can only see the blessings of being in the kingdom, but not the cost. When the fire of testing comes (pressure) they fall into sin, they give in to the flesh, they get offended. This type of heart wants to serve God, but there is no power-the law of the spirit of life is not able to work. This type of person is able to hear God; faith has come but does not work because they have never died to self.
Psalm119: 130The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. The human heart is deceitful and desperately wicked. When the word is conceived in the heart, there is still a lot of deceit and wickedness in it, the heart has to be purified, delivered, healed, renewed, restored, and made whole and healthy. The heart has to be circumcised; the word of God has to be written upon it.
The seed of God conceived in the spirit is divine, but it is surrounded by an outer shell called the soul that must be transformed, in order for the life of God in the seed to produce fruit through it.
The seed is pure gold, but it is surrounded by the human element that has to be refined by fire.
The fire or pressure reveals what is in the human heart, when we are under testing if we learn how to hold fast the word, by abiding in the spirit, our soul will be transformed.
In order to stand in the time of testing we need eph3:16 to be strengthened( specific point past, to empower, establish, make strong with His ability to perform) with might(ability to perform, power to work, to carry something into effect, power in action) by his Spirit in the inner man( the soul of man, thoughts and feelings); that Christ may dwell( specific point in time, take up full residence, to settle down in a dwelling, to dwell fixedly in a place) in your heart( desires, feelings, affections, passions, impulses, disposition, councils, values, mind, understanding) by faith(the acceptance of revelation); that ye ,being rooted( state brought about by the finished result of the act, a spiritual condition, to cause to take root, being firmly planted or established) and grounded(to lay the foundation, firm foundation-concreted in love) in(intimate union) love .(confident in love)
Math13: 7And some fell among thorns (abounds with pricks); and the thorns sprung up (cause to ascend from a lower to a higher place), and choked (to suffocate, lack of air) them:
Mark4: 7And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up (to ascend), and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
Luke8; 7And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.
Math13: 22He also that received seed among the thorns (something that pricks) is he that heareth the word; and the care (that which brings disruption to the personality and mind, to draw in different directions, to distract-that which causes this) of this world, and the deceitfulness (delusion) of riches (material goods), choke (overpower, suffocate)the word, and he becometh unfruitful (bearing no fruit, or bad fruit, not to bear to perfection or ripeness as the seed does the fruit).
Mark4: .18And these are they which are sown (continuous repeated action, to scatter and plant seed) among thorns (abounding with pricks); such as hear the word, 19And the cares (care that brings disruption to the personality and mind, drawn in a different direction, distractions) of this world, and the deceitfulness (delusion, seducing) of riches (material wealth, possessions, source of power and influence), and the lusts (a longing, the active and individual desire, resulting from the diseased condition of the soul-the desires and emotions of the soul, the natural tendency towards things evil, not necessarily base and immoral-but inconsistent with the will of God) of other things (something remaining) entering in (to go into, enter), choke (overpower, suffocate, lack of air-the atmosphere that produces life) the word, and it becometh unfruitful (without fruit-produce).
Luke8: 14And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth (begin to walk with God), and are choked (strangle completely, drown, crowd) with cares (distractions) and riches (possessions, valuables, bestowments, source of power-influence) and pleasures (sensual delight) of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection (to bear to perfection or ripeness as the seed does the fruit).
The third type of heart is a person who receives Jesus as their Savior, and God opens their eyes so that they receive an understanding. But there are thorns in the heart. The cares of this life entering into the heart choke the word and it brings no fruit to perfection. A thorn abounds with pricks-something that pierces the heart. The cares of this life enter into the heart. A care is an anxiety, which brings disruption to the personality and the mind. These are distractions causing us to be drawn in different directions. The cares of this life, deceitfulness of riches and desires for other things enter in and choke the word. To choke means to overpower, to suffocate. There is a lack of air, (the atmosphere of the presence of God). The word does not have ascendancy in the heart but other things take priority.
The seed of God produces a son of God, in the atmosphere of the presence of God. The seed bears fruit to perfection. This is the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus. As we learn to abide-live in the kingdom (the atmosphere of His Lordship-Presence) the seed grows to maturity. An apple seed will produce a perfect apple in the perfect environment. A good tree will produce good fruit. A tree in the bible is a type of a person.
Thorns are anything that takes ascendency over the Word of God being first place in our heart; it is a form of idolatry. If we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, God adds the other things to our life. But if we seek first the other things, we lose our soul. Our soul becomes tied to other things, and Jesus is not formed in it.
This type of heart begins to walk with God and then they get off course. We can see this in ministries, they start off being full of the Spirit, allowing the Spirit to speak through them, and then their focus in not on “what is the Spirit saying”, but speak from a soul that is not pure, but is influenced by the spirit of this world. A part of their soul is deceived, they are not dead to self, their soul is not transformed, they do not bear the fruit that remains-(the nature of Jesus Christ) and they do not represent him accurately.
The fourth type of heart
Math13: 8But other fell into good (good quality, spirit influenced, honest) ground (vegetative power), and brought forth (to yield) fruit (produce, Christ coming forth), some an hundredfold (hundred times as much), some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
Mark4: 8And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty and some sixty and some a hundred.
Luke8: 8And other fell on good (yielded to God, character energized expressing itself in active good) ground, and sprang up, and bear fruit a hundredfold.
Math13: 23But he that received seed into the good(quality) ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth (put the puzzle together) it; which also beareth fruit (to bring forth the Christian graces, divine nature, living works), and bringeth forth (do-become), some a hundredfold (hundred times as much), some sixty, some thirty.
Mark4: 20And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as (anyone who) hear the word, and receive (deliberately, readily) it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.
Luke8: 15But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest (beautiful, valuable for use, the attitude which is right before God)and good (character energized by the life of God, responding to it, and acting on it, acts beneficially towards others) heart, having heard the word, keep it (intensity-possession, absorbs, retains, to take possession, seize it, keep it in conscious possession, to occupy a place-spiritual condition, and bring forth fruit (to bring forth the Christian graces, divine nature, living works) with patience (maintaining a right spirit, endurance, consistency, patient continuance, quality of spirit that keeps us from giving into temptation, suffering with a tranquil mind, bearing up under, staying strong through the test.
If we do not have the fourth kind of heart in the parable, we will not come into sonship. And those who have the second and third kinds of hearts all their works will be burned up and they will suffer lose in the day of judgment, and be saved so as by fire.
