The prayer closet

We need to learn how to abide in the spirit under pressure. The Lord is with us always; He never leaves nor forsakes us, we have to learn how to tune into Him so that His life is flowing into us. He is an ever present help in times of trouble. He lifts us up above our enemies. He keeps us and sustains us. His willingness to help us is the foundation of our relationship with him.

Do not fear, for am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with my righteous right hand – Isaiah 41:10.

When we dwell on our circumstances, we becomedrawn into all the little details of the situation, which can be overwhelming. Then we begin to pray to the lord from our soul, instead of living in our spirit. Then we begin to try to fix the problem moving independently of the lord, which is the flesh-that union of soul and body that acts independently of the Lord. Because it is not working we attempt to bring God into our circumstances. We pray to Him through the details of our circumstances, often telling Him what we want Him to do.

We are not to live in our circumstances; we are to live in Christ. We can either live in our circumstances or be seated in Christ in heavenly places, in a place of rest. But we cannot do both at the same time.

The father is always drawing us, and when we respond to Him we are separating ourselves from our circumstances and we are coming into our prayer closet and shutting the door behind.

A closet is a confined place, where we are shut in with God, not distracted by other things, and the enemy is shut out.

We do not take our problems into the closet; we take our revelations, our destiny, our identity, and our promises from God. We are coming to the Lord face to face, to appropriate more of Him, so that when we come out of the closet, we will not be so influenced by the circumstances we may find ourselves in.

In His presence, we feel lighthearted and we are enabled to joyfully cast our cares on to Him.

In times of, adversity, pressure and assault, as we enter into the secret place within, and become caught up in our awareness of Him we often forget our reason for entry.

We need to allow the father to separate us from our circumstances.  We cast the whole of our care upon Him, no longer focusing on it; and come into the place of intimacy and affection where we receive a revelatory perspective that empowers us through the provision of God. We see what we are becoming in Him and the other things are added to us.

In the earth realm problems become a threat, causing hurt and interfering with our well-being. But in the kingdom realm of heaven they are opportunities to discover the provision that will enable our destiny to be fulfilled.

As we learn how to enter the kingdom realm we find ourselves being immersed in God, His Spirit fills us and surrounds us and even sometimes overwhelms us, so that we are enabled to look through His eyes, feel his heart. His viewpoint is utterly amazing and as we begin to see what He is doing, we are empowered to step back into our circumstances and live out what we are seeing.

As we learn how to live in the kingdom realm, we will find the Faith of God coming into us; no longer will we struggle in the earthly realm of unbelief.

As we learn how to live a lifestyle of celebration, worshiping the Lord through our spirit, we will begin to find it easier and easier to enter into the secret place in times of difficulty.

It is through our worship and praying in the spirit, that we are transported into another dimension. We continue until the world fades away from us, and we enter a different dimension of God’s presence.

When our spirit is activated and being filled with God the gateways in our spirit open, and we intuitively sense what we need to do and hope begins to be birthed in us.

The peace of God begins to fill our being and all the stress and tension slips away. We begin to see a vision of our circumstances with a different ending.

The secret place enables us to have a heart relationship with God that refreshes our soul, renews our mind, and increases our faith as we begin to see things in the spirit.

Human reasoning keeps us earthbound. Revelatory insight comes from a different dimension. It is a manifestation of the Spirit that comes from being in Christ in heavenly places.

We need to speak out of our spirit, not our head. Our mind is influenced by our spirit, and we receive a renewed capacity to think differently. What we hear in our spirit reforms our thinking and becomes our confession.

When God speaks to our spirits we have an experience of Him to go with His words.

It is possible to have knowledge without revelation. We may know much, but we have no experience of what we know. Eventually we are disheartened because we know about God, but we don’t know Him intimately where we are being led by him.

It is in our prayer closet, being shut in to encounter God, that we will get a new perspective on the circumstances of life that are keeping us earthbound.
