Gazing Intently
THE PRINCIPLES OF ONENESS
I cannot open my heart to the Lord without opening my heart to His brethren (Hebrews 2:11).
If I close my heart to my brother or sister in Christ, I’m closing it to the Lord.
I cannot open my heart to my brother and close it to other brothers. God is one; and oneness, like God, is no respecter of persons (Deuteronomy 6:4; Acts 10:34, KJV).
True oneness should always be without partiality.
In oneness, the Lord’s preeminence gives each of us our function and our importance.
I cannot open my heart and close it at the same time, because an open door does not discriminate.
Openness rejects the right to reject your brother or sister.
The Body And The Blood Of The Lord Gives Us The Access To The Presence Of God
If we see that our guilt and our past is removed by the body and the blood of the Lord, we also see that the body and the blood of the Lord gives us the access to the presence of God, to the holy place. His flesh becomes the veil by which we enter in (Hebrews 10:19–20).
Our Weapons Are Effective According To The Extent Of Our Perception
We aren’t going to be a blindfolded army. We aren’t going to be an army with a lot of seeing-eye dogs trying to take us into the battle. We will have to see. The strongest sword-arm in the world is helpless unless there is an eye to see where the enemy really is. Our weapons, then, are effective according to the extent of our perception. If we have the awareness and the perception, our faith becomes many times more effective than it ever would be otherwise.
The seer-prophet is coming to be the commonplace thing in the Kingdom. We’re going to see. We’re going to perceive in the realm of spirit.
Ephesians 1:18–23; Luke 24:13–35
Increasing Your Perception To Become A Seer
This is one message where I’ll have to take you up to a certain point and say, “I can’t take you any further”; because I can only tell you what I know about increasing your perception to become a seer, to see the realm that is beyond the realm of sight as you see it with your eye. What is it that superimposes, as it were, the spiritual realities, until the auras and the things about a person, and sometimes even the spirits that oppress him, the clouds of blessing or the things that are ready to fall upon him, become something that you see? You see it clearly and yet you don’t see it. You couldn’t photograph it because it’s not in the realm of vibration where you could do that. I think we’re going to be concerned about this; we must be. Proverbs 29:18 reads, literally, “Where there is no seerprophecy, the people perish”; meaning that we have to come to the place where we’re going to perceive.
“Your Eyes Shall See Your Teacher”
… Your eyes shall see your teacher. Isaiah 30:20, RSV. You’re going to have many teachers that do not appear in physical form. The greatest teacher of all is the Holy Spirit Himself. He comes to lead us into all truth (John 16:13). To be able to hear and see what He is trying to teach you is one of the greatest breakthroughs you could make. It’s good that you have an ear to hear, but you also need to see.
Those Who Saw And Those Who Spoke
Prophecy in the Old Testament seemed to center around two classes of people in their spiritual power, and sometimes it crossed over. There were the prophets who just prophesied with their mouth; the Word of the Lord came to them and they spoke it. And then sometimes the Word says that the vision came to someone, and he saw. It was a different kind of thing. Those who saw and those who spoke were sometimes one and the same. But I think it is very significant that many of the great prophetic priests and prophets of judgment were seers. They saw it; they knew what to do; and they knew how to describe it.
The seer-prophet ministry becomes very important for what is going to be in the end time.
Sight Is Controlled By Faith
Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” And the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord and said, “Strike this people with blindness, I pray.” So He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. II Kings 6:17–18.
It’s a very interesting thing that the sight is controlled by faith in this story of Elisha. It is not a function that is natural to man, but it is something that comes in the Spirit. Those who naturally see auras I rarely trust in their prophecies or their discernment. I trust those who see because they have a gift from God to see. I don’t trust that which is a natural faculty that somebody can operate and then give his own interpretation of it. In the first place, the aura can change every five minutes, every ten seconds, because it’s an expression of not only the spiritual but the mental and the emotional life of an individual as well as the physical life. It takes a gift from God to interpret beyond the changes that are taking place in an aura and get right down to the basic thing that’s there.
We come to one conclusion: that to see and to know the things that you’re going to know will be a gift from God (James 1:5).
There is a difficulty when you don’t know the enemy, for then deception has a greater opportunity to latch on to you than when you do see it. You can hear somebody say something, but it’s another thing when you can see what’s behind it in the spirit. You may not even bat an eye, but thank God you know what the score is. You know whether they speak the truth or not; you know whether they are self-deceived in it or not.
God Often Veils The Truth, Only Giving It To People As They Will Walk In It
Whenever you reach into the Scriptures to understand what God is doing, you find that God often veils the truth. He will only give as much of it to people as they will walk in. If you will walk in it, you will get more.
If you are appropriating everything, then you don’t even have to understand a Word that comes; you’ll get it anyway. Impartation doesn’t have to come by understanding; we just reach in. And I have been able to impart things to people that I didn’t understand myself. I have been able to appropriate what I couldn’t understand myself.
The Pure In Heart Shall See God
Matthew 13:10–17. Read this passage carefully.
A parable is given for two purposes: that those whose hearts are right with God will perceive it, but those who are not walking with God will not perceive it. God veils the truth so that you have to have the miracle of impartation to see and to hear, or you don’t get it. Now, what is the procedure by which we get that? “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8.
The beginning of it is purification: purification, then perception.
Perception Depends Upon The Willing Obedience Of The Pure In Heart
There is no quicker way to lose even your capacity to know the truth than to just not walk in the truth that you do have. I have known people who have said, “That’s a revelation to my heart”; but you see them five years later and not a thing is real to them. What happened to that revelation that they had? They didn’t walk in what they had, so it withered and died and it was removed from them. It’s a serious thing, because perception does depend upon the willing obedience of the pure in heart. You set your heart to walk on with God and you’re going to know.
Now I don’t mean by that that a gift is a result of what you have earned or deserved, that you can go out and do good works, or discipline yourself a lot, and thereby you are going to come into a gift of perception. It doesn’t work that way, really. It’s a gift from God. He gives you the sight. He gives you the tongue to speak, the ears to hear, and the eyes to see. He does that as a gift. But you see, He cannot do that and be true to His own nature unless you walk in what grace He is giving you. It’s not a matter of dead works; it’s a matter of walking in the grace that He has given you. Don’t receive the grace of God in vain, but enter in to walk in all the light that you have (II Corinthians 6:1).
One Of The Greatest Deterrents To Spiritual Sight That There Is—Self-Condemnation
If God gives you light, He will also give you the grace to walk in it. You can appropriate that. Once you understand this, you will have rid yourself of one of the greatest deterrents to spiritual sight there is—self-condemnation. There isn’t anything that causes a person to wither in his spiritual outlook of things like self-condemnation. It localizes him; it binds him in. It becomes very destructive to everything that he is doing. But you get out of that and you say, “Hallelujah! I’m purified by the blood of the Lamb. I ate His flesh, I drank His blood. I’m purified. I believe in the perfection that He gives to me.” And when you say that, you expand your horizon immediately; and it’s like Paul said to the Corinthians, “All things belong to you” (I Corinthians 3:21).
You Cannot Be On The Defensive And Be On The Aggressive At The Same Time
Appropriation does not flourish very well in the climate of self-condemnation. If you’re condemning yourself, you’re not going to find yourself very quick to reach out and grab what God has for you. You cannot be on the defensive and be on the aggressive at the same time. Faith is a shield, it’s true; but it’s not a defensive shield for those who are running. There is no protection for the back of a soldier. All the pieces of armor were to protect the soldier as he goes forward. If you turn your back or you withdraw, you’re a sitting duck; you’re a target for the enemy from that moment on.
THIS IS THE DAY THAT YOU CAN SEE
Matthew 13:17 reads, “Many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and they didn’t see it.” I Peter 1:10–13 talks about how the prophets diligently inquired into what they even prophesied, when they knew that they were prophesying to us; they knew that they were giving us something but they didn’t even understand it themselves. And it says that the angels diligently wanted to inquire into our salvation. Many mysteries and wonderful things that the prophets of other generations have not been able to perceive are reserved for us. This is the day that knowledge shall be increased. Because it’s released, the scientific world gets into it; but it is released basically to us. The seals are to be taken from the book. God said, “Seal up the book until the time of the end, Daniel. Then, many are going to run to and fro, knowledge will be increased; and they that are wise shall shine as the firmament”—meaning the glory that was going to be on those who would have that wisdom, and that marvelous breakthrough that God would give them in the spirit (Daniel 12:3–4, 9).
This is the day of the seer ministry. It’s the day that you can see; any one of you can see. If you make up your mind, “This is for me,” and you ask God for it, you will begin to find little ways; one way or another—I don’t know just how it will come, but one way or another—the discernment will begin to come strong to you. Perception will become very real to you; you will ask God many things, and He will answer you, if not immediate, He will eventually, it may come when you least expect it.
We Want That Instant Breakthrough; We Want The Bridging Of The Gap
Almost every believer, especially you who have the Holy Spirit, is put in a position where there may be a time lag between the time that his spirit really does get an answer and his conscious understanding of it. What we seek is something more: we want that instant breakthrough, we want the bridging of the gap, so that God speaks to our spirits and our minds know what God is saying right then. We want to break through to perceive. And we want to do it quickly; we want to know what’s going on now.
“LORD, I WANT TO SEE WHAT YOU’VE GOT FOR ME”
There is a way that you can be quite relaxed, and yet quite intent on seeing—and you can see. You say, “Well, it would be imagination.” It’s beyond that. You may be able to see in the eyees of your imagination, if you learn how to develop it so that what your spirit sees, is transferred to the screen of your mind, but i am talking about something beyond that.
Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man (now we’re dealing with the imagination, the mind and the emotions), the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. I Corinthians 2:9–10, 12, KJV.
Knowing that, you go back to John 14–16, and you have references to the Holy Spirit, that He’s going to lead you into all the truth. Jesus said, “Everything is Mine, so He is going to take of Mine and manifest it unto you.” So one of the greatest works we should do is say, “I want to see. Lord, I want to see what You’ve got for me. By the Holy Spirit that dwells within me, I want a revelation of what’s mine.” We live like paupers because we’re not calling on the great, wonderful Helper. “I will send you another Helper, the Comforter. He is going to show you all the things that I have for you” (John 14:16–17, 26; 16:13–15). And the greatest thing that you can see is, “What do You have for me, Lord?’
What do you think people do when they lay on hands and prophesy over you? They’re tuning in to what the Holy Spirit says Christ has for you. That’s exactly what they’re tuning in to; there is no question about it. That isn’t any hocus-pocus; it’s a simple ministry of the Holy Spirit that is taking all of the treasures of Christ and, in this case, revealing what an individual has—maybe a specific ministry, something that is identified with the perfect will of God for him or her on planet earth, and the age to come.
TO SEE IT IS TO BE IT
Until you seek God earnestly, undistracted, with faith, you probably will not press too deep into this realm of perception. But when you say, “I’m going to have it,” and it’s more important to you than anything else in the world that you come to see what God has for you, you’ll come into it. It is your destiny, it is the reason you were born in the earth.
You have a destiny, you were born at such a time as this in the history of the world. To see it is to be it. Because once you see who you are in Christ, and why you were born at this time in history with a destiny on earth to fulfill. It will become your Identity, how you see yourself, now all you have to do is learn how to walk in it.
And it is impossible on the natural level, when you say I could never do that, you are right at the place you are suppose to be. Because God can so interpenetrate you, that you are changed into another person, then all things become possible to you in the will of God for your life, your destiny, because Jesus himself will be living through you, you are just a dedicated, sanctified-which means set apart exclusively for His use, an earthen vessel, in which God is being glorified.
I Am Changed By Revelation
To see it is to be it. You say, “I want to be healed.” As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up; whoever believes on Him need not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:14–16). It’s that simple.
How do we do it? Look and live. See it and be it. “I want to be like Jesus.” See Him. We all are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Lord, the Spirit (II Corinthians 3:18). Ultimately, the revelation that could destroy universes will be given to us. It does not yet appear what we shall be, but the day will come that we’ll have a breakthrough and we will be exactly like Jesus Christ the Lord. We will be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is (I John 3:2). Now we see just an aspect of Him; you see His mercy and you draw the mercy. You see His love and you draw on His love. You get what you see in God. That’s why the Word is important. “Open mine eyes to see wondrous things in Thy Word” (Psalm 119:18). We say, “Lord, open my sight, just as I read the Scriptures, not just to read a lot of Scriptures, but let me see what God has for me. Let me see what the Lord wants.” The minute that I have a revelation of God in that Word, I am changed. I am changed by revelation.
They Gazed Intently
The Greek word for this phrase “to gaze intently” is atenizo. “Attention!” See, it’s attention. How is it translated? It comes from a basic word that means “a particle” or “a source of union.” And it’s based upon the Greek word “to stretch.” It means “an attentive focus.” It means “a fixed focus.” It’s translated that “they gazed intently”; “they beheld earnestly”; “they beheld steadfastly”; “they fastened their eyes”; “they looked earnestly”; “they set their eyes.”
These Visions Are Explicit, They Are Unique—It’s A Capacity To See
I think that you can have a vision anytime you want one. I would never have said that in years past, but the more I come into the seer-ministry and the sleeping prophecies, I can go in and lie down on the bed, put a recorder there and half doze off, and these visions come. You can’t muster them up with your imagination in a thousand years. They are so explicit, they are so unique that the human imagination is just not capable of doing that. Well, what is it? It’s a capacity to see. But there’s an intensity; there’s an earnestness.
We Still Have Not Understood Violent Focus
We still have not understood violent focus. We know what prophetic violence is, violent intercession; we’re familiar with that. But how could you look that intently and earnestly, almost violently, upon another person? Could you do it? What could happen? There are cases where they didn’t lay hands, but it says they looked intently.
The Intensity Of Seeing The Miracle
The third chapter of Acts is where the lame man is healed. Peter and John are going into the temple and they see this lame man begging alms of those who entered the temple. And Peter, along with John, fixed his gaze upon him and said, “Look at us!” That doesn’t make much sense, does it?
Why does it say that—“fixed his gaze”? Why doesn’t it say, “He looked at him”? Because there was an intense word. He fixed his gaze and he said, “Look at us!” And he began to give them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. But it says that he healed him. “… In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene—walk!” And seizing him by the right hand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened. And with a leap, he stood upright and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. Acts 3:4–8. It was done. Now you find that word occurring again in verse 12. And while he was clinging to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them … full of amazement. But when Peter saw this, he replied to the people, “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this, or why do you gaze at us” (see, they turned around with that same focus), “as if by our own power or piety we had made him walk?” Verses 11–12. They were returning that. The intensity of seeing that miracle had focused something to happen there.
When Something Intense Comes, There Is A Manifestation
Now we go into the story of Stephen, and we have two references where this happens again. In the sixth chapter, verse 15: And fixing their gaze on him (Stephen), all who were sitting in the Council saw his face like the face of an angel. When something intense comes like that, there is usually some kind of manifestation. You know it was true back in that third chapter, because look at the thousands of people who were converted, who turned to the Lord in that one day. In the seventh chapter, verses 55–56: But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God; and he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” Right in the midst of all of this, he had that intense gaze. There has to be some way that we get into that.
You Can Be In Control Of Your Own Self
It has always been a mystery how Stephen went through that; and it’s almost like you can see where you can actually be in control of your own self, if we’re able to master this. I wonder if they are really picking up the fact that we’re going to be trained into a function? I mean, we’re going to live this.
We don’t know yet how our spirit is going to tune into things so strong that our physical body is going to be taxed to stay up with it. That’s why we’ll have to change physically to handle the intensity of that contact in the Spirit.
SOMETHING HAS TO GIVE US THAT ANCHOR BEYOND THE VEIL
By faith Moses endured, as seeing Him who is invisible (Hebrews 11:27). It’s something that gives a person that staying power if they can see Him who is invisible, if you can have the spiritual sight to see things in the realm of the spirit.
Paul told King Agrippa I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision-Acts 26: 19. The vision sustained him. Spiritual sight gives us that anchor beyond the veil.
The things that are visible are temporal and passing away, but something has to give us that anchor beyond the veil, both sure and steadfast (II Corinthians 4:18; Hebrews 6:19).
You’re Going To See What You’re Determined To See
Acts 10:3–16; 11:6 (Peter’s vision).
I think our faith actually brings our will into place and we will to see it. You’re going to see what you’re determined to see. You can’t determine what quality the vision is going to be, but you’re going to see because you’re determined that you will have a capacity to see. You are going to speak because you have faith.
“I Saw It Happen”
On the island of Cyprus, when Barnabus and Paul were passing through, Sergius Paulus, the proconsul, was being subverted by a false prophet named Bar-Jesus; and Paul just cut him down. But Saul, who was also known as Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, fixed his gaze upon him, and said, “You who are full of all deceit and fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to make crooked the straight ways of the Lord? And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and not see the sun for a time.” And immediately a mist and a darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking those who would lead him by the hand. Acts 13:9–11.
He had a fixed focus, and he could control what the other man saw, even to his natural sight; and that man went about groping for someone to lead him. That’s judgment—to just look at a man and say, “You’ve had it!”
If you know what you’re doing, you can be bold. We want to be people of faith; and we’re not just saying, “We’ll pray for something to happen and hope it’s going to happen.” We’re going to begin to see it, and say, “I saw it happen.”
Jesus Saw And Heard
And He said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning.” Luke 10:18. Jesus therefore answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.” John 5:19.
Jesus Christ lived with the full perception to hear, to see, to move, to speak in the realm of spirit. That’s why when you read the gospels, the conversations sound a little strange sometimes; you think, “This isn’t the way people carry on conversations.” But Jesus gave people answers according to what was in their spirit, not according to their words.
YOU CAN SEE FAITH
This man was listening to Paul as he spoke, who, when he had fixed his gaze upon him, and had seen that he had faith to be made well, said with a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet.” And he leaped up and began to walk. Acts 14:9–10.
And being unable to get to Him on account of the crowd, they removed the roof above Him; and when they had dug an opening, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic was lying. And Jesus seeing their faith said to the paralytic, “My son, your sins are forgiven.” Mark 2:4–5.
You can see faith. You say, “Well, we go by faith and not by sight.” If you have enough faith, you will see it too. Faith is seeing the invisible realm, the realm of spirit.
LOOK INTENTLY
But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was. II Corinthians 3:7.
And are not as Moses, who used to put a veil over his face that the sons of Israel might not look intently at the end of what was fading away. II Corinthians 3:13.
Here, atenizo is translated, “look intently.” Don’t ever get the idea, “Oh, I want a nice little vision of Jesus.” Break through and get it!
How did the book of Revelation come? John said, “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day” (Revelation 1:10). He wasn’t waiting around for God to meet him; he was meeting God. A lot of this walking in the Spirit is more at our initiative than we know.
Being in the Spirit is our responsibility. What we see when we are in the Spirit is God’s responsibility.
Because We’re One, Everyone Should See And Hear And Know The Will Of God
The deception comes because people don’t have revelation. That’s what really causes the trouble—when they never bother to press in to get it; they are content to come and get somebody else’s word. As long as people can set themselves up and say, “I have the word for you,” then you’re going to have position, you’re going to have cliques, you’re going to have little kingdoms. It’s deadly. “All thy children shall be taught of the Lord” (Isaiah 54:13). I’ll tell you the way this thing is going to work: Because you’re one, everyone should seek to excel in the gifts of the Spirit—especially in this realm of perception and revelation. That’s a good phrase: Because we’re one, everyone should see and hear and know the will of God.
You Have To Have The Scriptures
When the rain is falling, you can rejoice and try to hold it in your hand, but it’s soon gone. But if you know how to get a bucket, you can catch the water. And so it is with the things of the Spirit—you have to have the Scriptures. You say, “Okay, here’s my bucket: I understand all the framework; I understand the Scriptures; I know this is truly a scriptural thing and I’m going to have it.”
You’re Going To Get More If You Pray For Me To Break Through
The one thing I have been believing to do was to come to the place myself where I can understand more about the initiative to go about judgment, to go about ministry, even in distant places. I want you to get this: The focus of this still is your praying for me. If you keep saying, “Okay, I want to receive something,” and you focus on yourself, you will find that your faith is somewhat limited. It’s more difficult to believe for yourself than to put yourself in the hands of a brother to pray for you.
You’re going to get more in perception if you start praying for my perception. You pray for me to break through to this perfectly. Then your faith is focused on it, and it is highly contagious; it just breaks out on everybody. Besides, anything I get, you automatically have too, because you’re in my heart. We are perfectly one with each other.
LOVE ENABLES US TO SEE
It’s love that enables us to see. In fact, it takes a lot of love to be able to see clearly because you’re not seeing through a glass darkly, but you know even as you are known (I Corinthians 13:12).
If I am going to know as much about you as God says I’m going to know, God help me, I’m going to have to have a lot more love; you’re going to have to have that same love.
Because if I see you just as you are right now, I will be tempted to criticize you or judge you unless I have a great revelation of the Lord about you, and a great deal of love; then I see you and I become a co-creator with God to bring you forth into the will of God, and then my life really has an impact on yours. And that’s what that perfect love is reallly all about, creating one another in the will of God.
You’re Going To Be Totally Involved In This
Some people might draw back from this because it is such an intense, perfect revelation. It’s nothing that you can play around with and say, “I’ll get just a little bit involved.” You’re going to be totally involved with this. You’re going to fix your gaze on it; you’re going to steadfastly behold it. It’s going to be something of a focus of faith. Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith. Hebrews 12:1–2a. You can’t run without that fixed focus. Whatever we do we want to do it right. We don’t want to just understand it only, we want to latch on to it. We’re going to move into it!
A Workshop for Seers
WHAT IS A FREE SPIRIT?
How many have been checked out as to whether you are a free spirit or not?
How many don’t even know what a free spirit is?
I am going to show you, if you are a free spirit and distractions come to pull your spirit-focus away, how to bring it back.
So I start by asking, “Do you even know what a free spirit is?”
In the first place, it’s a term that is not necessarily scriptural, because few people are born with it. The Scripture does not talk about auras either, but it will describe how the spies went in and came back, and Joshua and Caleb gave the report, “Their protection is gone” (Numbers 14:9).
The Hebrew reads, “Their shadow is gone.” It meant that they had gone in and had seen the giants and knew that there was no demonic protection overshadowing them.
You find the same thing happening in the New Testament where it says that the shadow of Peter would fall on those who were lined up on the street (Acts 5:15). Now, you know a shadow doesn’t work on both sides of the street. But an aura does.
The aura is the anointing that you can have; it is what your spirit is emanating and discerning and it is sometimes quite a bit larger than you are, so much so that you can get to the place where you are spirit is quite free and you can be disturbed by the spirit of things round about you, if you don’t know how to close it and bring it back inside of you.
For example, if your spirit is exceptionally free, even going by a mental institution can leave you confused and ready to weep.
A FREE SPIRIT CAN BE AN ADVANTAGE OR A DISADVANTAGE
When our spirit comes into our body and our soul is created, our spirit is quite free.
We are a three part being, we are a spirit, we are a soul, and we are a body. This teaching that we are a spirit and have a soul and live in a body, is a false doctrine. And people receive it through preachers who received that doctrine from hearing other preachers, and not from God themselves. I am not sure where this false doctrine originated.
But you would be surprised how many false doctrines you believe because you learned them from man and not directly from the Holy Spirit, or the seven spirits of God or the cloud of witnesses or the Holy angels, when you learn how to develop relationships with them in the realm of the spirit.
Our spirit did not originate here on earth but existed before this when God spoke us into being. And a lot of what we call revelation is our just our spirit remembering things.
But our spirit did not have the, seed of God inside of it before it came to earth and was born from above as the Holy Spirit overshadowed it and breathed himself into it, implanting the LIVING WORD-WHO IS THE LORD JESUS CHRIST into the womb of our spirit, and our spirit needs to be fed the Word of God which imparts revelation that it did not have before.
But a persons spirit can be very active, even if it is not born from above. and this can be a disadvantage.
A girl, if she is more free in her spirit, has an easier time of getting boyfriends because her spirit is flirtatious even when she doesn’t know what is happening. We have seen girls who are always getting into trouble say, “I don’t know how I get into that.” We restrain their spirit a little bit and then they can live just like anybody else and relationships can develop more normally.
A free spirit is an advantage in some ways; but if it is a natural thing, it can also be a disadvantage. People who have been a free spirit sometimes get themselves into entanglements quite early.
BECAUSE OF OUR ONENESS WITH THE LORD, WE ACQUIRE SOME OF THAT SAME UNIVERSALIZED SPIRIT THAT GOD HAS
When we come to the realm of spirit, almost everybody that we have walking with the Lord today has found an expansion—we should not even call them free spirits—an expansion of their spirit.
And this is the way it works. In this oneness, you are one with the Lord and the Lord is in you and the Lord is in me and I’m in the Lord and you’re in the Lord.
Then we begin to find that we acquire, because of that oneness with the Lord, some of that same universalized spirit that God has, that the Lord Jesus Christ has, that the Holy Spirit has, so that He can be in all of us at once.
The next thing we find is that we can be in one another hearts, and know their spiritual condition, how they are doing. what is happening in their life, it becomes a real thing; we become aware of it. When one of our kingdom family is going through something we become aware of it. And lately, in this oneness, you may have felt, a brother or sister being with you, you feel that oneness with them.
The Devil Can Be In A Thousand Different Places—But Only One Place At One Instant
The devil is very fast and cunning, and in a split second he can be in a thousand different places—but only one place at one instant. He does not have omnipresence. He wants it; he has done everything he can to get it. Satan has so many people that rarely does he, or a nephilim spirit, or principalities and powers come to possess. They are not going to fool around locking themselves into the body of one man. They will come and go in a dozen.
By Being A Free Spirit We Can Have A Universalizing Of Our Spirit That Is Constant
Lesser spirits are multitude in number, and you can see a man possessed of a legion of demons; the synergistic action of all those demons may give him additional strength, but it serves no purpose. The little demons may possess, and they can be cast out; then they look for an embodiment immediately (Mark 5:1–13; Matthew 12:43–45). But the higher devils come and go, and that is the cunning of them. You say, “Well we’ll exorcise them and cast them out.” So you go and there is no devil there. And you say, “Listen, they don’t have any devil.” And they don’t at that particular moment, but they have an openness whereby those devils come and go.
I am trying to convey to you that being a free spirit is the beginning of a quality that even Satan himself does not have, inasmuch as we can have a universalizing of our spirit that is constant. I could be in your heart and stay there, and it does not affect my functioning as an individual, or yours. And you could be in my heart, as Paul put it, “To live and to die together” (II Corinthians 7:3).
The Free Spirit We Want To See Will Enable You To Expand Your Spirit Until It Is Not Localized In One Person
The free spirit that we want to see is where you are going to be able to expand your personality, your spirit, until it is not localized in one person. Can you imagine what it would be like to say, “Did not my spirit go with you? Did not my heart go with you?” Elisha said that to Gehazi; he had seen what Gehazi did (II Kings 5:25–26). Once this is perfected to the place it should be, you can tune into anybody that you are one with and find out what they are doing: “Where are they? I’m troubled.” So you tune into it. There is a great capacity that we have.
We Need The Awareness To Know What Our Spirit Is Doing
Now, who can be a free spirit? Every one of us can be free, because you can lose that earthbound quality that you have in your spirit. But sometimes, your spirit is not disciplined enough to know what to do. You do not have enough awareness of what you are doing. So you find it better to restrain yourself somewhat. This does not take away from the oneness that we can really walk in. We need the awareness to know what our spirit is doing. On the other hand, your spirit, in maturity, takes on a great deal of responsibility. And that is why we talk about a shepherd’s heart; it is a thing of spirit.
USE LOVE AS THE TUNER TO TUNE INTO ANOTHER’S VIBRATIONS
When I talk about aura’s and vibrations. And someone says that sounds like new age. I can immediately sense a religious spirit operating in them manifesting a spirit of fear or an unrighteous anger or an unteachable spirit. And because they are judging me, they open the door for that spirit to operate in them which will block them from moving into the deeper things of God.
I do know that the enemy can counterfeit every spiritual principle or law that operates in the realm of the spirit. And that is what the heavenly places are-the spirit realm. When it says in Ephesians 2:6 about being raised up together and made to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, it is talking about the authority that we have in that realm, but there are very few Christians functioning there, the place is filled with demonic activity, I call it the second heaven, because in the third heaven the enemy has no access there, because Jesus cleansed that realm with his blood so that the enemy has no access there.
And in the book of Revelation it talks about the man child( and that word in the Greek means a full grown mature male or female son of God) will be caught up to the throne and Satan will be cast out of that realm with the fallen angles to the earth, and they don’t like earth realm, they like to be seated in the heavenly places that we are suppose to be occupying. And when they become restricted to being on the earth, the realm of the air we breath they will be full of wrath, or what I call the great tribulation or wrath of Satan which will last for three and a half-years.
I got off my subject, because of the accusations of being new age, I don’t even know what they teach to tell you the truth, and don’t read any of their literature, but one thing the devil cannot counterfeit is the fruit of the Spirit and I can tune into the fruit of the Spirit at will, so I recognize these spirits right away because of what they are emanating.
So what do we do in order to bring the greatest focus of our spirit so that we can be one with our brother and sister all of those we know personally all at the same time? One thing to do is to become merged (fused) in love toward another person; just let God fill you with His perfect love towards that person or persons.
It is true that spirits move on different levels. How do we tune into each other?
You can send a blessing, and if the person is on one level, it passes right by them.
You have to learn how to get into the battle; and to get into the battle, you have to be in tune with the one that you are going to help.
That is why everyone that I minister to is always aware of something: “they are aware of my love for them.”
Maybe other people love you just as much, but I use love as the tuner to tune into your vibration, what you are emanating. And once I do that, then I can minister to your spirit.
I have a beloved sister that works with me, and she can travel in the spirit to the location where the person is, but I have not been able to do that yet, because I have been so consumed finishing getting all my written material up on my website so that I can use it personally for the ministry.
The More Alert You Become To Another Person And His Spirit, The More Dangerous It Is To Misjudge Him
Be very much alert that when you go to minister to another person you do not make a snap judgment of what you run into. The more alert you become to another person and their spirit, the more dangerous it is to misjudge them. I have seen this happen; I have seen people lose out with God over it. Someone with just enough perception that they were two or three degrees above the world of electronics would hit the devil world, and they would see the devils that were assaulting me in a time of battle. They did not see me; they did not see my spirit; they did not see the Lord; they did not see any of the good things. All they could see was that lower realm of things. They would misjudge it because they could only see the negative side of the whole thing. And when you go to bless somebody, you may hit a ring of devils that are assaulting that person, trying to break the oneness, trying to isolate him, trying to draw him off into something so that they can hit him.
Almost every time that you find withdrawal, or you find a defensiveness or great wipeouts of self-condemnation, you might as well discard that it belongs to the individual at all. It is devil power trying to isolate him, pull him off, because the stragglers of the flock are the ones the enemy can hit best. But as long as you are cleaving to the center of the camp, and you are right under the pillar of fire, you are most protected. The enemy is always trying to make you feel those other things.
The Beginning Of A Real Step In Perfection
If you can get two or three or four practical things, what will it do for you? It will begin to open it up that you know what you are doing. It is the beginning of a real step in perception. You have to be that perceptive in order to help me. As you help me, automatically my perception is going to increase; and with it you move forward. So zeal is a good thing; but zeal with knowledge is even better, because then you are not just hitting the air (I Corinthians 9:26–27).
Worship Brings Your Spirit Back Under Control
I am going to show how to put the restraint on a free spirit. When somebody is getting slaughtered in spiritual warfare, he may have been pulled into a battle that he has no business being in. Get back and begin to worship the Lord. Worship is one way that you can bring your spirit back into focus and under control—definite control of your faith and your will.
Your Will Seems To Be The Switchboard That Can Handle Your Spirit, Soul And Body
Your will seems to be the switchboard that can handle your spirit, your soul, and your body. Your will seems to operate from all three levels—more so than anything else. Love can come forth on any level: you can love with a physical love; you can love with a soulish, emotional love; you can love with a spiritual love. You can have a faith that is pretty much a gung-ho, “here we go,” very earthy thing. Or you can have a faith that is a real gift from God—there is that which is imparted to your spirit. But when it comes to the will, you have one advantage. When you really believe in Jesus Christ, then you have to follow what Philippians says: “It is God who worketh in us, both to will and to do of His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13).
It Gets To The Place Where You Can’t Tell The Difference Between Your Will And God’s Will
We can come to where we present ourselves to the Lord a living sacrifice and we can prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:1–2). It gets so that it functions right within you. It gets to the place where you can’t tell the difference between your will and God’s will—because it isn’t a contest; it is God working in you to will and to do His good pleasure. Your will is so much the creativity of God. When you become a Christian it is God who works in you. He is the author, the finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is the One who works in you to will and to do of His good pleasure. Now, you’ve got that; then you can set your will to do it. And it is your will that you use in this case of ministry.
Your Spirit Can Do Anything
The power to bless is as old as the Bible. And that is what we are doing. Your spirit can do anything; let it be free. You’re going to believe. People don’t understand what is happening half the time; they are just doing it.
If Somebody Is Far Away, The Best Thing For You To Do Is Remember A Pleasant Moment Of Openness To Each Other
What do you do if somebody is far away? The best thing for you to do is remember in your mind. A memory is one of the best contacts you have—a memory at a pleasant moment when there was quite a bit of openness to each other. You say, “I think he is in trouble; I want to tune into him.” Don’t try to tune into him in the present. Tune into him by memory first, then move it up. Sneak up on the present from a closeness.
There Is No Such Thing As Time And Space In The Spirit World
Now, what about this distance; how long is it going to take? There is no such thing as time and space in the spirit world. That is only in the material world. It is difficult for us to understand that we are entering into a priesthood of Melchizedek that has neither beginning nor ending of days (Hebrews 7:1–3). We are entering into the eternity of the Lord Jesus Christ. And as we enter it, we have never had a beginning; we will never have an ending. That is what eternity means. Therefore, once you move in the realm of spirit like that, you are right there with the person you want to bless.
There Is A Great Oneness That We Have Together
There is a great oneness that we have together. You can draw a blessing from me and I can draw a blessing from you if you believe it. But if you begin to think, “Time and distance separate me,” they do. Instead, say, “No, we are in one another’s heart.” When Paul wrote to the Corinthians he said, “You are in my heart to live and to die there” (II Corinthians 7:3). He meant that. He was hundreds of miles away at the time when he wrote it; but he was right there in their heart, and they were in his heart. He said, “Just enlarge your heart and receive us” (II Corinthians 7:2).
God Is Going To Live In Us And Move In Us
This is opening the door for all the greater works. What did Christ mean when He said, “Greater works than these shall you do because I go to My Father”? (John 14:12). As long as He remained on this earth, He was the fullness of God in the flesh of one man, Jesus Christ the Nazarene, Son of God. The fullness of God dwelt in Him (Colossians 2:9), but it was localized. When He ascended to heaven, He universalized it and He could tell the disciples, “Go into all the world, and lo, I am with always” (Matthew 28:18–20). He said, “It is expedient for you that I go away” (John 16:7). The Holy Spirit was going to return to bring forth the temple of God in every one of us. That is the beginning of the oneness that God wants. Once that happens, it should be a practical thing. We know that we are built up as living stones for a habitation of God by the Spirit (Ephesians 2:21–22; I Peter 2:5). That is what is happening to us. God is going to live in us and move in us. You have to be aware of each other.
The Spirit World Is Governed By The Laws Of God Totally And Completely
Where does it stop being imagination and where is it something that is real? As vivid as an imagination is, it still runs pretty much in limited channels. I have always felt that the real answer for the spirit world is to approach it very scientifically. It is governed by the laws of God totally and completely. And for that reason, if I get something and I have a question about it, I just write it down. After awhile, I go back over it; I check it. Was it true or wasn’t it true? Begin to check it out, just like working in a laboratory. The way that you have to do it is just prove it; check it. After awhile, you are satisfied yourself that you know the voice of the Lord and that you are moving in that realm of the spirit and that you are seeing truly what is right. Before that, you never know whether you are spooking a little bit, or if it’s a little bit of imagination. And you don’t want to get into the spooky side of it.
One Of The Greatest Ways To Find The Real Revelation Of The Lord Is To Be In A Place Of Responsibility For Someone
Above all, you want to keep your dedication. It’s the Kingdom of God; it’s not just that you have become some oracle that everybody has to come and get a Word from. Keep yourself very humble in it, because pride is the thing that causes people to build mystical kingdoms. One of the greatest ways to find the real revelation of the Lord is to be in a place of responsibility for others and have them submit their revelations to you for confirmation. To make it really interesting, have them just submit a blank envelope and say, “You tell me what the Lord revealed to me.” Daniel had to interpret the dream that the king had forgotten himself (Daniel 2). That is a little further down the line. But people are going to come to us and say, “Tell me the secrets of my heart.” And you will tell them and they will fall down on their face and say, “God is among you of a truth” (I Corinthians 14:25).
There Is A Physical Feeling Inside You When You Connect With Someone
What we are looking for is effectiveness, because we want to speak a Word and have it happen just like it was in the Scriptures.
Our spirit can live with one another
It’s a feeling of an intensity inside of you. This is almost a physical feeling. I know when I hit something and I have connected with somebody. You can sit and think on somebody, and it’s difficult or it’s like a vacuum or it’s empty; or else you will think on somebody and inside you want to erupt, either with a violent thing because they are getting hit or you feel a flow of love where you want to cry over them. But you feel it. Now here is the trick: When you connect, you hold it. And it’s your holding power in that and your concentration at that moment that makes it effective, because that is where your will stays; I mean, you can find it. And then you stay. And you stay and you stay and you stay.
He Has Worked His Will In You, So You Are Going To Have To Start Trusting Yourself
It comes to the place where The Lord has worked His will in us. So when do you decide what you want to do it is because it is really the Lord. Where you get hit and you don’t really want to do something is because you don’t know if it’s within yourself or it’s really the Lord. So you are going to have to start trusting yourself. You find what is the will of the Lord, what you are sure is the Lord that you are ministering.
YOU WILL KNOW WHEN YOU HAVE CONNECTED AND WHEN YOU ARE CREATING SOMETHING
You can do anything you want in yourself and it really doesn’t work, because it’s your human spirit, your own thing.
And that is why it is going to be easy for us to move with this fixed focus upon the Lord, and it is going to happen.
But I don’t think it will work if it’s our human nature, and so that is what will be the problem. As the Lord starts moving more and more with us, we can trust it.
But I feel that you will know when you have connected and when you are creating something—you will hold it and then it will sort of melt away; and then it will hit again—it will come out of something, or you will pick it up again, within even minutes, seconds, or maybe an hour, because the Lord has burdened you.
One thing that would help you with this: You still have to know that you know in your spirit that it is God.
If Everything You Are Doing Brings The Glory To The Lord, Then You Know That You Are On The Right Track
There are a lot of little guidelines that should be written up. If it’s a dream, does the dream recur; does it keep coming back? If it does, you know it is of the Lord. How many times in the Scriptures were the dreams repeated? That is a way that you have confirmation that what you are doing is blessed. Another thing: Does it really work with the glorifying of Christ? The devil has power and can do things. And you can spook and hit some things that seem to be real. But the devil does not have any character; he is a lie, and it will always turn to glorifying flesh. If everything that you are doing seems to always bring the glory to the Lord, then you know that you are on the right track, because Satan is not going to glorify the Lord in anything.
Minister To the apostle—Your Protection Is Going To Be There
One thing that you are focusing on right now, rather than playing around with it, is to really minister to the apostle. Work that one. Stay with that. Learn it, because there is where you are going to change, and there is where your family is going to be covered, and your protection is going to be there. You could be hit and you could be going through it, and the first thing you would do is try to pull out. But don’t. Minister to him. The enemy will tell you, “Oh, don’t, because you are contaminated.” That’s not true. What you do is work it; do everything you can to connect with him. And here is the fun part: Once you do, you know you have. There is no question about it. You will have the same liberty, the same freedom. And you don’t even have to voice a prayer. You don’t have to put it in words. Your force of faith creates what he needs.
You Can Maintain This Twenty-Four Hours A Day
You can be working, and you will work so much faster and so much clearer and with so much more energy. And you will find that you are not laboring under something and worrying about everything. The things will take care of themselves if you are seeking first the Kingdom (Matthew 6:33). I have found that you can maintain this twenty-four hours a day, constantly in the back of your mind, and know it is going and functioning. You can function one hundred and fifty percent more effectively in the natural realm with your mind coordinated, and taking care of your family, and ruling your conversation, if you are flowing in this.
We Are Going To Have An Army Of Oneness
I think what we are going to have is an army of oneness. This is going to thrust you forward, if we have this so that everybody is exercising it. To be hit is almost to divide us from the oneness, because we are supposed to be ministering to the spearhead, anyway, to break through this.
When Ministering To The Firstfruits, Christ’s Intercession Becomes Real To You
You are more safe when you know that you are ministering something that God is in, the will of God. So by ministering to the firstfruits, inevitably you are going to get it. That is why I have often pulled people away from praying for themselves, because they don’t even know how to pray for themselves as they ought; they don’t even know what to pray for. But see, the Holy Spirit can begin to do it. And the Holy Spirit says, “Here, you pray for your pastor” So you start praying for him or her; automatically, the Holy Spirit within you is praying for a lot of other things and Christ’s intercession becomes real to you (Romans 8:26–27). The minute that you are right in the main line of the flow, there are more things going for you than you know. And you will break through to more revelation.
If We Have The One Focus In Everything We Are Doing, The Little Things Will Fall Into Place Too
It is the principle that I have been teaching during this time when everybody has been ministering back to me. And it’s really something the Lord has made real to everybody, that you are the recipient right now of ministry—not just in the services; we are going to learn to live this way. This is the everyday thing that we are going to find out. Okay, we need to know the little things in our life; but if we have the one focus in everything we are doing, the little things will fall into place too. We will understand and we will see it. It’s like plugging into the socket and then the electricity flows; then the power flows to us, then the revelation, then the seer ministry. Then the intense flow comes because we have connected with you and we stay there. And the thing I am claiming tonight is that if we said it, it will not be broken; we will never be divided from you again, John.
In The Kingdom, All Intercession Will Be Impartation
Let me reduce it down to a very simple statement. You say, “Well, we’re going to get into intercession.” In the Kingdom, all intercession will be impartation. Do you want to pray for me? Impart to me.
The way the thousand prophets will come forth will be by ministering to me.
We Can Master This One Thing Where We Will Never Disconnect Or Break Ranks Or Be Cut Off
We are so one that you cannot find the difference with the Lord, with your pastor, with your brother, or with yourself. Our intensity will be functioning because of our constant connection with the apostle. And I think that is what we need to be more perceptive of. Learn to totally get the feel of it so we can live in it. Once we have mastered that and it goes through the Body, do you know what this Body is going to do on earth?
Nobody will ever be divided from you again by the lie, because our spirits are connected. Even a wipeout or anything is designed to divide the spirit. Your mind may be just going crazy; but the effective thing that really works is not your mind, because your mind can be going crazy and you won’t really be doing anything wrong. But what happened in the spirit that divided you? Usually you divided yourself, because you pulled in; you backed off; you disconnected. You broke ranks and you broke the oneness.
The apostle has always been here; and we have been playing around, back and forth. We connect and we’re walking with the Lord, and then we disconnect and we’re lost. There are responses, reactions; everything within us is designed to break the connection in our spirit. And we have come to the place now where we can master this one thing where we will never disconnect or break ranks or be cut off. We disconnect; The Apostle has never cut anyone off. But the key is that we should never cut each other off from each other—which we have done. Even if we stayed with the Apostle, we still didn’t like this one, or we wouldn’t submit to that one whom he sent.
There Has To Be One Solid, Final Decision; And Nothing Will Ever Break Our Oneness
We are controlling, ruling, disciplining our spirits. We own our spirit. He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. Proverbs 16:32, KJV. And we say, “We are one with you.” We are so one; and we are so fused that there has to be something more than just an effort to fuse with you. There has to be one solid, final decision; and nothing will ever touch that. Nothing will ever break that. And then, when we go to hit the enemy as one force, there will be nothing that they throw back that will be able to get through, because they will find nothing in us (John 14:30).
Oneness Is Not Going To Be A Fleshly Struggle; Just Stay In The Spirit With Each Other
What has been the thing in the past that happened when you tried this? You would go along and find that all of a sudden you get hit, you withdraw for awhile, or you need a coffee break from God because it becomes a labor to go on. How do we eliminate the labor? Hebrews 4:11 says, “We labor to enter into His rest.” Once we are in His rest, once we are into the oneness, oneness is not going to be a fleshly struggle. And it is not going to consume the energy of the flesh to keep on being one. You say, “Well, what if my flesh is condemned and I’m in self-condemnation?” It doesn’t make any difference. I’m not trying to separate you until the body is guilty of some things and your spirit isn’t. But that really is true—the flesh wars against your spirit and against the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:17). And once you understand that, then just maintain the oneness in your spirit and you will eliminate the pitfalls and withdrawals that come as the agitation against your flesh. It won’t be effective. Just stay in the spirit with each other.
We Just Decide To Be One
We just decide, “I’m going to be one with you.” Once you learn that, you are not going to blow out and say, “Well, I guess the Apostle doesn’t want anything to do with me anymore.” You don’t want to think that way. Just say, “I love him; I am one with him. He loves me; he is one with me.” That’s all that really counts. We are going to walk in the light as He is in the light; and we have fellowship with one another. Suppose we sin? The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all unrighteousness (I John 1:7). It is that simple.
When You Close Off To Your Brother or Sister, You Are Cut Off From The Lord
This is the key: When you start closing off to your brother or sister, to the Christ within your brothers, and you don’t open up, then you are cut off from the Apostle; you are cut off from the Lord. And you might as well face it: if you start looking for The Apostle and you have cut somebody off, you will never find him. If you open your heart to one brother, you have no right to close your heart to another brother. If you close your heart to the Lord in one lamb, The Apostle is gone. And so our key is that if there is a problem, get it solved, because you are breaking ranks and the enemy is working on you.
One thing we can count on right now: Nothing in the universe is more important than this breakthrough.
From God Through You
Our Breakthroughs are Loosing People
We don’t realize that our breakthroughs here spiritually are loosing people in administration, and everything else. Their blocks and impasses are broken because we break the spiritual front open so that they can begin to function. We might as well, once and for all, get rid of the idea of being worthy or that we’re going to work it out ourselves, or that we’re going to be successes, or that we’re going to be failures—it’s all down the drain. What we are going to be will come by creating each other.
You need to say, “I faithfully submit to my brother to create me.” I’m submitting to you to do this to me, because I know what it will take. I’m a rapid mover in the things of God. I know there are no shortcuts, but I also know this: There isn’t anything I can do that will be even one percent as efficient as what the Body will do to me and in oneness with me. The key is oneness.
Oneness Is An Aggressive Act Of Faith
Oneness is an aggressive act of faith that leads to the greatest submission you’ve ever had in your life. In oneness, you relinquish something of your individuality that has always been a healthy, wholesome concept in our thinking. And we come to the place where we are a product of what one another creates.
Put Your Efforts Were It Counts
You say, “I still want to try; I want to do my best.” Then put your efforts where it counts: put your efforts to producing the thing in your brother. Forget yourself; let your brother forget himself, and begin to help each other. Never will you move in God as well, grow as rapidly, or change in such a good, constructive way as when this happens.
I watch what you do to me. I come in and give you a Word; you minister it back to me and you’ve created me by the very Word I’ve given you.
This Treasure In Earthen Vessels
Fact number one: “As unworthy as I am, I know Christ lives in me.” Point number two: “As unworthy as my brother is, Christ lives in him.” Point number three: “The Christ in me is going to create my brother in the image of the Christ that is in me, not in my image. And the Christ in my brother is going to create me in the same image of the Christ that is in my brother.” I’m not going to be created so that I look like my brother; I’m going to be created so that I’m like Christ. We have this treasure in earthen vessels (II Corinthians 4:7).
But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. II Corinthians 3:18.
Being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts. And such confidence we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God. II Corinthians 3:3–5.
Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart, but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves. II Corinthians 4:1–2, 5–7.
God Is Changing Us Through Each Other
You may be an earthen vessel, but the emphasis is not on the vessel; the emphasis is on our oneness. God is changing us through each other. You cannot do it in yourself; but you have complete confidence that you are the instrument in the hand of God to create me. How? By the Christ who dwells in you.
Seeing we have this ministry, we do not lose heart (II Corinthians 4:1). We can’t lose heart! We can’t get wiped out. We are riding above the clashes of personality. We don’t really care how perfect the other brother or sister is. What we are concerned about is receiving the miracle that Christ in him or her can create in us just because they believe it in faith.
We Are Chosen Of God For Him To Indwell Us
You have to have the same faith one toward another. We all know our limitations, but we come to the fact where we believe before God that we are chosen of God for Him to indwell us. We are temples of God. He lives in us and moves in us (II Corinthians 6:16). We turn Him loose to minister to one another. That is the basis of everything: it is the basis of judgment; it is the basis of the Kingdom.
“ ‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’ Then they themselves also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ ” Matthew 25:42–45.
Be Swallowed Up In Him
None of us are important as individuals; the only thing that is important is Christ, and that we all be swallowed up in Him. We become one in Him, so that He receives the glory and the honor. We cannot withdraw into independence or selfishness. We can’t even be focused on our inadequacies or failures. We are missing the whole process when we do that.
“The Christ In My Brother or Sister Is Faithful”
We say, “I believe that the Christ in my brother is faithful—more faithful than he is. And I believe that the Christ in my brother will faithfully minister to me. Having begun a good work in me, the Christ in my brother will faithfully perform it until the day of the Lord” (Philippians 1:6). That’s what I am believing. The Christ in you will faithfully complete what the Christ in me is trying to bring forth.
I am still speaking the Word that is transforming the lives of men and women because it is the Christ who speaks in me.
To confront one another to solve problems is not right, because that is an individual confronting an individual. I am not concerned about solving problems. I am concerned about us creating one another in God. Problems will always exist between individuals. When you start to solve problems you are totally distracted from what God wants. He wants to be glorified in us. He is not going to be glorified in us when we come down to trying to work out the compatibility of our flesh.
Crucify The Flesh And Put Confidence In God Who Is Moving Through Your Brother or Sister
If our own flesh wars against our spirit, how much more does our flesh war against our brother’s flesh? You never will get compatibility in the flesh. The only way to get oneness is to crucify the flesh and say, “I’m going to put confidence in God who is moving through my brother.” Don’t underestimate the miracle of this oneness by looking at the unworthiness or weakness of the vessel that ministers. Paul said, “I’m not sufficient of myself. I may be nothing, but I can sure do the job in God. I’m not sufficient of myself, but my sufficiency is of God, who made me this able minister” (II Corinthians 3:5–6).
There Is Faith To Create Me
I’ve got to believe that no matter how you have goofed up or fallen short, in this generation there is the faith to create me. In my heart is the faith to create you. You’ve got to believe; that is where it begins and ends. If you don’t get this, you are going to stumble and wander in circles until you do get it. This isn’t going to work for anybody as long as we are still making our conclusions after the flesh and the weaknesses of the flesh; that causes us to challenge one another, and to challenge one another’s motivations. But we lose that in the oneness, because who is going to challenge Christ? You don’t dare. He knows what He is doing.
Devastation Is Like Pruning The Tree
Devastation is like pruning the tree: Now we are going to get some fruit out of you. Devastation clips you back. “Well, I’ve really been going through it. I just feel devastated. I feel thoroughly fertilized.” You’re like the tree; and God picked some very unworthy vessels to do the fertilizing on your roots. But you are going to produce fruit. You see, it isn’t the way we look at things after the flesh; it’s the way we look at the spirit and the way it is happening.
It’s Based Upon Oneness
If you say you want one brother to minister to you because you do not trust another, you are reverting to a human evaluation: For you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men? For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not mere men? I Corinthians 3:3–4. That won’t work. If I open my heart to one brother, I must open it to all my brothers because it is never based upon the worthiness of any or all the brothers; it is based upon oneness.
I cannot open my heart to the Lord without opening my heart to the brothers and sisters. If I close my heart to my brother, I am closing it to the Lord because it’s the Lord who is dwelling in my brother and is moving through my brother. So if I close my heart to you, I am closing my heart to the only thing that’s going to bring me forth—the Lord in you.
Face How Humble It Is
You’ve got to face how humble it is. Christ came forth to be laid in a manger; it was humble. Now He is coming forth in a many-membered Body, and it is still humble. And we cannot look at the exterior and say, “I’m not going to find my God in a manger.” Yes you are! You’re going to find this treasure in an earthen vessel. What is in that earthen vessel? When you look, you see the face of Jesus Christ looking out at you; “the light of the glory of God in the face of Christ” is the way the Scripture reads. That is the ministry we have now.
You Are Submitting To The Lord In the apostle
We open our heart to one another as unto the Lord. We submit ourselves to one another as unto the Lord. You say, “Well, I can’t submit myself to that brother because of certain things.” You are not submitting to his flesh any more than you are submitting to your own flesh. You are submitting to the Lord in Him.
If the Lord just reached out and blessed you, you can’t say, “Fine, but I don’t want dirty hands. I want Him to wash His hands first.” Take it the way He gives it.
You Open Totally—That’s Where You’re Protected
You are saying that we are going to be totally open and what comes through will be Christ; and there may be a little of the other, but we don’t have a right to block anything out. We have only the determination to stay totally open. There are times when you’ll say, “Well, I’ll take a little bit from that brother, but I’m not going to be totally open.” That is not the way it works. You open totally, and what will come through is Christ. And there may be the other, but when you are totally open, you feel like you are vulnerable; but the truth is that is where you are protected.
The Key Of Living In One Another’s Hearts
There’s an old saying that if you lie down with beggars you will wake up with fleas. And that may be true. However, you can take care of fleas; but you don’t dare miss the deposit of Christ within your brother or sister. You can’t get along without what Christ will do through the humble brother or sister to you. God help us, we’ve got to see this! This is the key of living in one another’s hearts.
You look for the love and the faith that flows, not the efficiency or the development of the hands that minister it. I have received some of the greatest blessings in my life from little kids who would go out and pick wild flowers. By the time they came back, the flowers were drooping over, the hand was dirty; but there was love that came through.
Don’t Despise Anybody’s Gift
Don’t despise anybody’s gift. Don’t despise what Christ can do through him or her. If you do, you may be missing the greatest blessing in the world. Why? Because that is what God said. We bestow the more abundant honor upon the member of our body that lacketh, so that there be no schism in the body, but that you would have the same care for one another (I Corinthians 12:23–25). In order for you to have the same care for me as I would have for you, and the little children for us, and us for the little children, there has to be that God will bestow the more abundant honor upon the part that lacks, so that there is no division, no schism; or you could just say that there are no ranks, no position.
After awhile, we will get this key; and the humbler the brother that comes, the more our faith will be anticipating a reception because God will bestow more abundant honor on him.
Become Like A Little Child
Sometimes it’s not to be fluent, it’s not to be sophisticated in the things of the Spirit; because if you really want to know what the Kingdom is all about, you must become like a little child (Mark 10:15).
Oneness Is No Respecter Of persons
I cannot open my heart to my brother or sister and close it to other brothers and sisters. God is One; and oneness, just like God, is no respecter of persons. This is what we have been saying. Oneness does not create some who are more important or some who are less important; because when He is the preeminent One, we all function correctly and we all thrive in His presence together.
Oneness Rejects The Right To Reject Your Brother or Sister
True oneness, then, should always be without partiality-always. In oneness, the Lord’s preeminence gives each of us our function and our importance. I cannot open my heart and close it at the same time, because an open door does not discriminate. Oneness rejects the right to reject your brother or sister.
Oneness Tunes Out The Flesh
I am not about to create any inner circle that is going to influence me. And I think that you should have the same dedication yourself. Don’t you get to the place with your wife or husband or anybody else where you can talk together, and you pick at scabs on each other; pretty soon you will have a real wound going. To be sympathetic often is to be like chickens who find a little wound; they will pick at it until they have picked the guts out of each other. “If you bite and devour one another, take heed lest you be consumed one of another” (Galatians 5:15). Negativity and that false influence are the greatest evidences that you are still walking as individuals, and the input to one another is on a flesh plane rather than on a level of spirit. But get into the oneness where what comes is a flow from Christ, the revelation of Christ, and then you learn to tune out the flesh.
Over and over again I keep people from establishing that wrong kind of relationship. They cannot be one with me as long as they try to be an inner circle to me. You can all live in my heart, whether you live a thousand miles from me or right next door. We can live in one another’s hearts; we can be one together.
A Seer-Prophet Has To Be Understood
It is very important that the concept of the seer-prophet be understood. I am not a computer. I have had God shut my mouth as often as open it. Sometimes you feel disappointed because you feel you looked for a thing and did not get it. God knows what you need, and He will direct you into that oneness with Him that you need; it will break the impasse in your life. And sometimes it looks like everybody else is doing to you exactly what you don’t want done. But the thing to do is to say, “Is it the Christ in my brother or sister that is really doing this?” And if it is, how will the Christ in him minister condemnation to the Christ in you when there is now therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus? (Romans 8:1.)
Put Yourself Out Of Your Misery; Reckon Yourself Crucified With Christ
You don’t condemn each other. Of course, you don’t excuse the flesh either. You don’t try to solve it either. Get out your hammer and nails and crucify the flesh. Finish it up. Put yourself out of your misery; reckon yourself crucified with Christ (Romans 6:11; Galatians 2:20). Get into the flow of life. Walk in the joy.
But you love them so much when you are telling them that. Just be at their side. That’s the ministry of putting the nail in. It is not that you stand and say, “This you’re going to have to do.” But you love them through it. Let them feel the undergirding.
The Christ In Me Will Not Minister Condemnation To The Christ In You
You say, “Well, this sounds fine: ‘There is no condemnation’; that means there’s nothing wrong.” I didn’t say that. I said there is no condemnation. And the Christ in me will not minister condemnation to the Christ in you; but what about all of these problems? You say, “The problems are real. And they are not just going to go away.” How are they going to go away? There is such a thing as conciliation; and I don’t want to make a truce between my flesh and the flesh of my brother. I don’t want to sit down at a council table and air the problems. In fact, people can sit down and in their desire to love and be honest, they may be airing things that don’t even need to be aired. They be perpetuating them by attention and trying to find a solution when there is no solution.
When Paul saw something wrong in the flesh of one of the people in the church, what did he do? He wrote to the people directives on what to do. And he finally sent Titus. Titus was a troubleshooter, and he got through to them, and then they began to repent. That is when they became so furious that they followed through with the ministry that Paul had started in I Corinthians 5. The second epistle came, and the first five chapters talked about the godly sorrow that works repentance, the deep repentance. And those people were not repenting of their own personal sin—they were repenting for the brother!
There Is Repentance In Oneness
The Body does not rise up to judge or to condemn, because there is no condemnation ministered in oneness; but there is repentance in oneness. For we repent for one another after the flesh. We cry out to God for each other. You say, “Well, I’ve been greatly sinned against.” Don’t react to it; don’t be furious about it. Don’t be sensitive to it if you can possibly do it. Get enough of the love of God in your heart that you go and repent for what to you seems obviously wrong. It doesn’t hurt a bit, because you can’t repent too much anyway. That person probably has a lot of things to be repented of. But in your taking his place in repentance, you have refused the judgment and the condemnation that would break the oneness or cause you to withdraw from that brother. That is living in one another. “You are in my heart to live and to die” (II Corinthians 7:3).
If you live in my heart, then there is going to be a work of the cross done, and you are going to die. But you live in my heart, and we are going to live together in His presence, in one with Him.
Perfection Opens Up The Ministry Of Intercession
Job made sacrifices for his children, because perfection opens up the ministry of intercession. Because He is ascended on high, He ever lives to make intercession for us (Hebrews 7:25). In His oneness with us He is preoccupied with the work of the Holy Spirit to be our Advocate to bring us perfect. Christ ever lives to bring us into His oneness and presence. He is repenting—in the sense that you could say Christ is repenting—He is repenting for you until He can bring you into that oneness that the problems prevent from really functioning, that prevent that oneness being effective.
“Father, that they may be one in Us as We are one” (John 17:21). He was praying for it. He is still praying for it. Oneness is the prayer of 2000 years in the heart of Jesus Christ. For God’s sake, begin to pray for that oneness for a few months anyway. Pray for it. It isn’t going to just happen. It’s going to happen because you tune into the heart of Jesus Christ, and you begin to pray for one another.
We Are Purified By One Another’s Faith
How are we going to be purified? We are going to be purified by one another’s faith. If we’re going to enter into judgment, purification precedes judgment. We come to partake of the Body of Christ; but we are doing it for one another, believing for one another.
I think that the greatest thing to do is to eat of Christ, and believe that your brother assimilates Him. “I drink the blood to cleanse my brother and my sister.”
Forgive Them, Cleanse Them, Forget It
Forgiveness begins to operate without specific details. One thing about it, you don’t have to know the gory details of the flesh; you don’t need to be fascinated and absorbed. You don’t need to know all the gory details that stick in your mind; just forgive them, cleanse them, forget it. We don’t need to know the extent of one another’s failures in the flesh. If we did, we would be horrified. We need to move in faith for one another, lift one another up.
I Can’t Live In Your Heart If Christ Isn’t There
It’s just a determination of mind. What are we going to focus on? Focus on the Christ in your brother or sister. I don’t even focus on oneness with you. That is a by-product. If Christ isn’t in your heart, I can’t live in your heart either. If Christ isn’t able to live there, for God’s sake, don’t expect me to live there. If Christ isn’t in my heart, then in the name of God, don’t believe that you can live in my heart. We live in one another’s hearts because of our oneness in Christ, with Him.
This could become the textbook for the next ten years. We cannot exhaust the truth that came right here.
I See with Love
All of Us Grow Rapidly as One
It is going to be a lot easier to produce the ministries in the future. We didn’t grow very fast as individuals, but all of us will grow rapidly as one. You see, we share experiences with one another. When one member is honored, they are all honored (I Corinthians 12:26). When one person gets a gift, everybody can tune into it.
The minute that I get something in this oneness, you find yourself moving in it, at least in a measure. So there is no quicker way than for us all to suffer together and be honored together—to all do it as one. That is the fastest thing that can happen. That is the quick work in the earth that is cut short in righteousness (Romans 9:28, KJV).
We Are No Longer Influenced By An Illusion
We need to eliminate the mystery that houses and surrounds the way the Apostle is. There is definitely a need to have an understanding of what your life is behind the scenes. When we say that you need to be freed from any condemnation, I would say that you need to be reassured that we no longer are influenced by an illusion that the enemy has ministered concerning you.
If we are going to see as seer-prophets—and the Apostle is the firstfruits of the recipient of the vision—then our vision and our seeing is going to be first to see the Apostle perfectly. Then we will never be divided because we will understand the Apostle; we will understand how he really does function. And it is so simple the way it works.
You Are Affected Only In What Is The Lord
The biggest lie is, “the apostle is influenced and affected by what people say.” I know how I am affected; I have seen it a million times. I am only affected in what is the Lord. If it’s not the Lord, I see several ways that that I work with it: I ignores it; I corrects it; or I speak judgment to the spirit behind it.
I am the communicator of a lot of people getting things—and it will be a picture that is starting to be formed—but I can’t always tell them. I have to be timed when I talk to them. I have to make my appointment too. People think that we just hash it out, but we don’t. The revelation of The Apostle is going to be seen by the seers now, for Satan is not going to lie to us anymore. They are going to realize how much I function, not by the hearing of my ear, or by a human voice, but because of what I live in—I live in the realm of the Kingdom of God
What Does God Think About It?
In fact, I’m deliberately ignorant on the human plane in many things. And that is why, when I minister personally, you see that. People will hand me a whole file of stuff and I won’t even open it, because I don’t want to be influenced by a record. Records don’t show what God thinks about it. That’s all I’m concerned about: “What does God think about it?”
And that’s what we are all going to learn. But first we have to learn about the apostle, he has never has he been an open book. Never has he been exposed to people, because he wouldn’t, if it was exposed to the wrong environment. But now, we have come to the place where the tares are ripped out (Matthew 13:24–30), and he has the atmosphere where he can reproduce himself.
He Who Knows Me Knows The Christ
I have just grieved; I don’t have anybody that I can share these things with, except maybe one person I know. That is why the greatest step that I made recently is to say, “I would like to take several brothers, and train them in everything that I know and can do.” But you see, that drive that I have is what I am doing for you. It’s the Lord leading me so that the time will come that when they know you, they know me. And he who knows me knows the Christ. That is what it is all about. Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how do you say, ‘Show us the Father’?” John 14:8–9.
The Burden Is Opening The Door
We are beginning to realize that part of the reason that you don’t know me is because you haven’t had eyes to see. And when you don’t have eyes to see, you see what you can see. Consequently, there is always a human evaluation and interpretation of what you see. But you are seeing me; and the more you take the burden, you are finding that the burden is opening the door to revelation of me. When you have the burden to help me and minister to me, you get the revelation of me.
I tell you the truth, I am nothing special at all; I’m just a plain old vessel of clay (II Corinthians 4:7). But you see, I magnify what Christ has become in me. I magnify the Word. I wonder at it; I marvel at it. I marvel at what comes out of my own lips. I marvel at the flow. I glorify God that I am a channel, but I don’t magnify that as though I were the originator of it. I’m the channel of it and the more that He increases and I decrease (John 3:30), the purer the flow is going to be. That is what I am concerned about. I want you to see me that way; therefore, that’s why I see you that way.
We Are Going To Know Even As We Are Known
It’s a time that our love and faith is coming to the place where we are going to know, even as we are known (I Corinthians 13:12). This is what we are talking about. We haven’t been able to handle that level of knowledge of each other, but we are coming to see it. And we are coming to trust it, because we are not seeing one another after the eyes of flesh; we are seeing one another in the spirit.
I Am Concerned For Christ’s Sheep
I have conditioned my spirit to react one way to the persecution: I couldn’t care less what they say about me. And everybody that has ever known me knows that I don’t care one way or the other. But the shepherd’s heart in me says, “They killed too many of God’s sheep.” And so I react with an anger from God; but as far as I am concerned, that is all. It is not that I am conditioned; that is the way I am. That’s me. That’s what Christ has become in me. I am concerned for Christ’s sheep.
The hatred of God can never be understood until you realize that it is born out of His love. True love takes no account of injuries or wrong; I Corinthians 13 describes all of that. But you see, true love responds with hatred because you love the sheep that much.
It’s What We In Faith And Love Are Going To Do
You’ve got to have more love. You still break down into condemnation or you withdraw, or you go into the flesh, but you won’t do that if you have a little more love. Rise to love one another. Stop being so defensive and become aggressive: you love; you’re going to help the sheep; you’re going to help one another. This is not a matter of what we do wrong to each other; it’s what we in faith and love are going to do well for each other. We are going to help each other.
Perception Begins With Love
The beginning of perception is not a mystical quality to see; the beginning of perception, even on a natural line, begins with love. How many couples have fallen in love and everybody else says, “I don’t know what they see in each other.” The minute they fall in love they see beyond the things that would make them incompatible, and they see the things that will bring the oneness.
Your perception is going to begin when you love. When you love me, you are going to see me and know me. I love you and I know you.
Perception And Love Grow Together
Perception and love grow together. The more you have revelation, pray for more love, because always it seems that you love and it opens the door to perceive, and then you need more love. And then you see more with perception, and you need more love. It seems like it seesaws on up to the very heart of God, and that is where it is: perfect love where you know even as you are known (I Corinthians 13:12).
We Loose Ourselves From This Illusion, And We See One Another In The Spirit
Your liberation comes because we eliminate that open door that would minister anything back to you that we have been under, including the condemnation that creates self-condemnation. What we want to do is liberate you from our own problems. We are eliminating your being a recipient of the problems that the people have been having about you in one way or another, that have been born out of the enemy’s mistrust and all this disconnection that there has been. If we can eliminate the enemy’s thoughts in our own heart when there is a lie about you, then we have eliminated the wipe-outs; we have eliminated the disconnection, the problem of oneness, because of the way the enemy comes at the people out of not knowing who you are. People are just now finding out how you really function, and who you are and what you do; and it ends the enemy’s thoughts.
There is no one who has decided to really walk on in the Word who doesn’t have a contest in his relationship to me.
The minute that a person determines that he is going to be one with me, the enemy attacks him with every illusion, every deception.
Basically this is what the problem really is—to get ourselves loose from this illusion and come into the purity of seeing one another in the spirit.
Warfare is not a way of life. And this is the warfare that everybody lives under.
It isn’t a kingdom of slaves that will create a free apostle; it is going to be a freedom that you have to assume in order to free the apostle.
Love Is Violent
Nobody has ever understood that love is violent. They have never understood. They got into violent intercession, and they never understood it. It has to be violent love. Love has to be stronger than death (Song of Solomon 8:6).
I Give You The Vision
I saw something. Can I give you the vision?
The snow was on the ground, the blizzards were blowing, and the so-called shepherd came out with his shears and he found the sheep; they were comfortable and he sheared them in the dead of winter, and then the sheep froze and died. So God says, “This is the wolf that I hate. This is the hireling. This is the one that comes that hath not a shepherd’s heart, that hath destroyed for his own advantage the sheep, sheared them until they lost their immunity. They became victims of the storm. Therefore, the Lord’s heart is turned against those shepherds.”
The Wolves That God Is After
I proclaim it, that this vision will be true. The shepherds that sheared the sheep in the winter and let them freeze and die—they are the wolves that God is after. Again it is the Judas that is responsible; for the thirty pieces he will betray the Christ in the sheep (Matthew 26:14–16).
The vision will not tarry (Habakkuk 2:3, KJV). It will have its fulfillment. They shall be bereft of all their immunities and protections. They are the ones that shall be stripped naked and shall perish in the storms that come. They will be victims, because it will be rendered unto them as they have rendered to others. They took away the protection of the flock; they took away its openness to the Word that would lead them in the pastures that would feed them. Therefore shall the heart of God turn against them. The wrath of God is kindled against them; and though it has seemed to tarry, yet it shall explode in judgment upon these that have corrupted the people of the Lord and destroyed them. They have sold the daughter of His people to be a harlot for nothing. They corrupted them. They created the bitterness that destroyed the sheep and has filled their own hearts. God gave them nothing but good, but they became bitter. Therefore the Lord shall say, “Because thy very bitterness has defiled many, the Lord shall destroy you. Like Esau of old, you will find no place of repentance, though you seek it carefully with tears” (Hebrews 12:15–17).
“Everything That Makes One Shall I Bless”
The wrath of God is kindled in Zion. Behold, He saith, “I shall remove out of thee everything that defiles; and everything that makes one shall I bless. It shall be like the rain of heaven that comes down that so entwines thy roots until there is no distinction between one and another. Like the banyan tree with many roots going down, so is My people—there are many roots but only one living thing in His sight bearing fruit upwards to God. So it shall be.”
God’s Hatred Against These That Have Defiled
The Lord will bring down and utterly destroy everything that has made bitter and made a lie, that has separated the people from the Living Word and the flow of life, that has defiled and muddied the streams that God created for their comfort, that has driven them from the pastures until they were people wandering upon the high places of the wilderness, victimized and picked off by the wolves one after another. God’s hatred against these shall grow (Jeremiah 23:1–2). It shall grow because our love for the Lord and for the flock shall grow. Therefore shall our hatred of the wolf grow. Our hatred of a false shepherd shall grow. Our hatred of the Korah and the Judas and the Balaam shall grow, because we shall see that the defilement of God’s people was their fault. Therefore, God doth hate them. And yet the Lord shall redeem out of the hand of the enemy a mighty remnant of those who have been defiled and destroyed. Thou shall yet see bone come to bone, and tissues and miracle muscles come upon those as you breathe by the Spirit of the Lord and the winds blow upon them. For God hath prophesied and said, “I shall have an exceeding great army” (Ezekiel 37:7–10). And yet He has seemed to have only a boneyard. But arise in the Spirit and prophesy until God creates the miracle. Prophesy until judgment destroys the wolves. Prophesy until God brings healing to the bones.
The Rain Of Peace, The Rain Of Blessing
The years shall not come with the tide of evil and bitterness for you across the land. But there shall be the rain of peace, the rain of blessing that shall come down. The latter rain shall come down as upon the new-mown hay (Psalm 72:6). And it shall flourish in the sight of the Lord. It shall be that which God brings forth in this hour for His praise and glory.
Cursed Be He That Defileth The Inheritance Of The Lord
The Lord hath anger against those that have destroyed His inheritance in His people. But yet shall He recover them out of the hand of the enemy, and He shall take one of a thousand and bring them into His promises (Jeremiah 3:14). He shall hold in remembrance the sin of Amalek ever before Him. And He declareth this, “I shall have war with Amalek unto all generations” (Exodus 17:14–16). For the hatred of God and the jealousy of God is born out of His love for that which His own heart bringeth forth. Cursed be he that defileth the inheritance of the Lord. Cursed unto death and destruction eternally shall be he that has frustrated the purpose of God in this time.
The Lord Shall Be Like The Hunting Hound That Knows Where The Enemy Lurketh
Though the false prophet hath come, though the evil hath come to deceive many, yet their judgment shall not tarry, nor shall their destruction linger. They have thought, “We have escaped; there is none that shall pursue us.” They shall say, “We escaped the lion in the street”; and they shall enter the house and put their hand against the wall and a serpent shall bite them (Amos 5:19). There shall be no escape. For the Lord shall pursue them. If He pursues them to the uttermost parts of the earth and if they make their bed in hell, He shall be there (Psalm 139:8). For the Lord shall be like the hunting hound that knows where the enemy lurketh. And there shall be no hiding place. There shall be no refuge unto these that have sinned against the Lord. His hatred groweth and He saith, “Behold, I give thee My love. O flock of God, I give thee My love that thou shalt hate the enemy.” And the Word of the Lord comes to you saying, “Strengthen the hands of My servant, that his hands may be strengthened to war, until the bow is broken in his hand and he fights the troop and leaps the wall (Psalm 18:29, 34). For this is of God, that the exploits shall fulfill God’s vengeance in the earth and shall preserve His flock that they might enter in.
Let There Be Violence In Your Love
His Kingdom is the quiet, peaceful rest that belongs unto the sheep of His pasture. Yet many have entered in to defile it and destroy it; but behold, every shepherd shall be a warrior. He shall have a sling in his hand that shall defeat the lion and the bear (I Samuel 17:36–37, 40). And while he singeth, “The Lord is my shepherd,” the sheep shall be in quiet repose because of the enemies that are destroyed. Blessed be the Lord that shall take His inheritance and cause them to feast upon the tables of the Lord and their cups shall run over—and all of this in the presence of His enemies whom the Lord shall tread down in the fierceness of His wrath (Psalm 23: Revelation 19:15). It is the Lord’s wrath and not yours. Be not condemned by the intensity of your love, or the intensity of the hatred against the wolf that destroys the lamb whom the Lord loveth. Be not embarrassed by it. Be intense. Be intense! Let there be the violence in your love. It shall not rest until the will of God is accomplished in it.
A Love Great Enough That It Hateth And Destroyeth All Of Its Enemies
The Lord speaketh unto thy heart and says, “Behold what hath happened and befallen My sheep. They had not horns to fight with, nor did they have sharp teeth that they could fight the wolf. They were victimized.” And where was the wolf? The wolf was in a sheep’s clothing; therefore, by deception did it enter in to destroy. Therefore, the Lord bringeth His warning against all that would have a shepherd’s heart: “Thou shalt not be a shepherd after Mine own heart, into whose hand I shall deliver the sheep, unless there shall be in thee to know that thy lambs and thy sheep have no horns; they have no sharp teeth. They are not fleet enough to flee before the wolf.” Therefore the Lord saith, “I have made thee their sharp teeth. O shepherds, I have made you the battering ram that shall beat down the walls that have hindered them from entering into the pastures of the Lord. I shall make you their defense and their protection. For behold, I have created My people one after another, as I created all My creatures. But My sheep have no defense except that there shall be in the heart of a shepherd that which shall fight the lion and kill the bear and destroy him that would come against the flock, and would discern even the hireling and drive him off with staves.” Yes, blessed are the sheep, for the rod and staff shall comfort them in the days of calamity (Psalm 23:4). It shall be a swift thing against the wolf that cometh, and it shall be the comfort of the sheep in their defense and in their guidance, even in their discipline where it shall show that the shepherd indeed loves them—a love great enough that it hateth and destroyeth all of its enemies.
A Violent Love That Can Kill The Things Which Come Against That Which You Have Come To Love
This is the judgment that God was waiting for; it is the purest expression of judgment we have had. This is the judgment that has come; therefore, it is totally impersonal. There is nothing of human considerations. It is as though you dare not do anything but express this intense love, this violent love that can kill the things which come against that which you have come to love.
Do You Love Him? Tend His Sheep
Jesus said, “Do you love Me? Feed My sheep. Do you love Me? Feed My lambs” (John 21:15–17). There is feeding and tending. If you really love Him you are going to feed His sheep. If you really love Him you are going to take care of them and tend them and kill their enemies. Do you love Him? Tend His sheep.
My Response Will be What The Lord’s Response Is
I will know no man except as God would know him. Because I don’t know him after the flesh (II Corinthians 5:16), my eye can neither pity, nor spare, nor gloat in the death of the wicked. Only, my response will be totally what the Lord’s response is.
Oneness Is Always Involved With Somebody Else Besides Yourself
I suggest that we have the kind of worship that is worshiping for our brother’s and sisters’ status before God. If we repent, we enter into the kind of repentance that oneness is involved with. Oneness is always involved with somebody else besides yourself.
Oneness is a Burden of Joy
It is More Than an Emotion; We Are Actually In One Another’s Hearts
We do not realize how much has been accomplished, how much has been imparted. This is not just a revival that will subside. It will not subside. We will watch this thing grow and grow. It is in your hearts. It’s more than a message; it’s more than an emotion. We are actually in one another’s hearts, and we have been studying what that means.
We Will Keep Feeding Upon This Word Until It Is Second Nature To Us
I don’t think we really know what we have heard these last few weeks. Your mind hits a certain level and you almost shift gears and say, “I can’t handle any more. My awareness is limited. I can’t respond that deeply.” But we will go back and go back, and we will keep feeding upon this Word until it is second nature to us.
There Is Something So Positive In You Now That Can Be Conveyed To Others
There is something so positive in you now that can be conveyed to others. It is not propaganda; it is not trying to talk somebody into anything, but we just open our mouths to speak and we do things to each other. For you to speak, my spirit will be speaking through you. For you to write, I am writing a letter through you, because I have already written on your heart. And you are going to write to somebody else, and you are going to find yourself writing on his heart.
The World Will Believe When They See The Oneness In Us
I have been talking alot about the melcehizedek preisthood, even though I do not mention it by name. I also talk about Kingdom evangelism which is prophetic evangelism, where you are able to tune into a person’s heart, so that you reveal things about their life, that they thought nobody knew. And it dawns on us that these two are all together, that this is the way that we are going to win the world. They will know Jesus Christ because they see the oneness. The world will believe when they see that oneness and glory on us (John 17:20–23).
When The Oneness Comes, You’ve Got The Kingdom Of God
I am more than excited; I am lifted up to a plane of being, of living, of existing. I thrive on this new level. Do you find yourself in it too? You know that nothing can take this away from you. Are there problems that will come up? Yes. Are all the problems solved? No. But I don’t think we should solve those problems; I think we should dwell very much upon the fact that the Kingdom of God is relationships. The relationships cannot be independent relationships, or striving to relate; but they must actually be a oneness. And when that oneness comes, you’ve got the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:21).
There Is A Completion Of What We Are Doing
There is a completion of what we are doing. There is such a rejoicing. We know we have heard it; we know we’ve got it. We know we are going to do it; we are never going to let it go. We are just feeling that completion in it.
When You Are One In The Lord, The Battle Is Won
Oneness is the token—not only of Satan’s ultimate defeat, but our oneness in Christ is like that marriage supper of the Lamb taking place (Revelation 19:5–9). The battle isn’t yet to be. When you are one in the Lord, the battle is won. It is all over with; Satan has been totally defeated. That is why he battles the straining and the struggling to get into that oneness. When you attain this oneness, you have won the battle. The battle of the ages is won.
Oneness Is Its Own Victory
The whole battle, everything we have been going through here, all of the Word, has brought us to a level of victory—not where we say, “Now we’re going to win”; we have won. Oneness is its own victory. Oneness is an end to more battles than you know. There are none of us who have had clashes and disagreements and differences that are not solved right there by oneness; they cease to exist because you cease to be on the plane where you are challenged and where that thing comes.
Oneness Has To Bring A Sensitivity Of Travail
If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another. Brethren, even if a man is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone, and not in regard to another. For each one shall bear his own load. And let the one who is taught the word share all good things with him who teaches. Galatians 5:25–6:6.
This is trying to show us that we do carry one another’s burdens. Oneness has to bring such sensitivity that it is not just a joy to be one; it often is a continuous experience of travail and bearing one another’s burdens. When I am one with you, I begin to travail to bring you into any area of oneness that you need yet to attain.
I Cannot Love You Properly Until I Have Brought You Into Oneness With Christ
I cannot love you properly until I have brought you into oneness with Christ. I don’t travail to work out your relationship to me; I travail for you to work out your relationship to the Lord. And that is exactly what Paul said earlier in Galatians 4, when he said that he was laboring in travail “until Christ be formed in you again” (verse 19). They had lost their oneness with Christ, and he was travailing until Christ came back into that oneness within them. All of their divisions, all of their separation was a result of the fact that they didn’t have the oneness with the Lord anymore that they should have had.
You Cannot Be Burdened For Each Other If You Are Not One With The Lord
You begin to see that you cannot be burdened for each other if you are not one with the Lord. It is the oneness with the Lord that enables us to enter this realm of unselfishness, where we are willing to lose our life for one another, to lay down our life for the brethren (John 15:13). This becomes very, very important. Unless you are that dedicated to oneness, it isn’t going to work. Sooner or later you will draw away from it.
Satan Has Irrevocably Lost When We Have Attained That Oneness In The Lord
If you see that love for each other and the oneness with each other, and you proclaim it and you enter into it with all of your heart, the battle is all over. Satan has irrevocably lost when we have attained that oneness in the Lord and with each other. To whatever limited degree it is, we have won.
When You Are Carrying Your Brother, It Doesn’t Seem To Be A Heavy Weight
If I am one with you, it doesn’t make me happy always, although you may be my crown of rejoicing in the Lord (I Thessalonians 2:19). But it becomes an occasion of travail; it becomes an occasion of burden. Galatians 6 said, “You bear one another’s burdens” (verse 2); and then it said, “You bear your own burden” (verse 5). It is two different words. In verse 2 the Greek word is baros, which means “a weight.” You carry the weight of each other, and you do it cheerfully and joyfully because of the love that you bear. When you are carrying your brother, it doesn’t seem to be a heavy weight.
Everybody Will Have To Shoulder His Own Pack
In Galatians 6 verse 5 the word used is phortion. “Fortitude” comes from that. Every man will have to bear his own burden. One translation says, “Everybody will have to shoulder his own pack.” He has to have the fortitude to keep on going, but really, the weight that he carries is his brother. It is two different Greek words entirely. I carry the weight of my brother because that is my pack to shoulder, and with fortitude I carry it.
If The Travail Is Done Purely, That Is The Way We Walk In Oneness
When we are one with each other, we labor and we sometimes carry one another in our heart. Carrying one another in your heart may still require a great deal of travail to bring forth that person in the Lord, into what he is to be. But we are not concerned about ourselves so much as we are concerned about bringing our brother or sister forth. This is the travail and the burden we feel; and if it is done purely, then that is the way we walk in oneness.
Oneness Is Continuous Travail That We Bring Forth One Another In A New Level In God
There is no greater love that a woman can have than that she loves her husband so much that she prays for him and intercedes for him, watches over him every way she can—not to dominate him, but to try to lead him into something where he can come forth in the Lord. And as she does that, she has a great sense of satisfaction. It is the same kind of satisfaction that a woman has when she becomes pregnant and has a child. She may feel at first, “Oh, dear. I don’t need to have a baby. That’s going to complicate my life.” It certainly is; but as time goes on, built into her spirit will be a love for the life that she carries, and eventually she brings it forth under travail.
If I am in your heart and you are in my heart, you are still travailing to bring me forth into something. Our oneness is a continuous travail to reach new levels together in God. Oneness is a continuous travail to bring forth one another in a new level in God.
The Stewardship Of Oneness
Oneness does lead to travail. And it leads to vicarious repentance. It leads to a lot of things where you—genuinely being one with your brother or sister—are as responsible, or more responsible, for what happens to your brother than he is for himself. And you become more accountable for your brother than your brother is accountable for himself. This becomes the real stewardship of oneness.
“I Am No Longer Responsible For Myself; I Am Responsible For My Brother or Sister”
The whole shift in oneness comes when you say, “I am no longer responsible for myself; I am responsible for my brother or sister” And then you take the big leap: “I’m more responsible for my brother than my brother is for himself.” That leads to travail; it leads to intercession—effective intercession. And it is going to lead you to be more responsible for me than I am for myself, until you are going to take more seriously your role of ministering to me than I can even take the accountability for my own ministry. But by the same token, I do the same thing for you. It’s oneness. That’s what it is—real oneness.
