And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:14.
This coming move of God isn’t a dying missionary effort. We’re going forth with the discernment and we’re speaking words of power.
We are not speaking words only, we’re uttering power. Out of our spirit issues forth from our mouth sounds that are not words alone—they’re the power of God.
Paul wrote to the Corinthians, “When I come, I will know, not the words of them that speak, but the power.” For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. I Corinthians 4:20.
He did not mean that they would not use words, but he was saying that the word ceased to be persuasion; the words themselves were an unleashing of the power of God.
This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness. It isn’t always a witness now; it’s often a reproach. But this word is going to be a witness.
What is a witness? What about the two witnesses in Revelation? Fire pours out of their mouth to destroy their enemies and nobody can stop them. We’re looking for this age to end.
Do you realize that God has been moving step by step, and next we will see this living word proclaiming the Kingdom and bringing people to the claims of the Lord Jesus Christ?
Do you want to know how the world events will turn out? Look into Psalm 2. Why do the nations rage, And the peoples meditate a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bonds asunder.
This Psalm was originally interpreted as talking about the Lord Jesus Christ—against the Lord, and against his anointed.
We’re the anointed ones, just like Christ was the Anointed One. The “anointed” refers not to Christ alone, but to this end time company. Let us break their bonds asunder, And cast away their cords from us.
With the anointed ones coming forth in the end time, the heathen are going to rage and the nations are going to be upset. Why?
The anointed ones are beginning to chain them, put bonds on them, put restraints on evil, bringing judgment.
Why do you think that in the end time they’re going to try to martyr so many people? It won’t be just for sport. They will be trying to get away from the trouble makers, the ones who are bringing the judgment of God upon the earth.
We’re going to see the power to restrain evil and to judge it.
Let us break their bonds asunder, And cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens will laugh: The Lord will have them in derision. Then will he speak unto them in his wrath, And vex them in his sore displeasure: Yet I have set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will tell of the decree: The Lord said unto me, Thou art my son: This day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance, And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
We’re going to take it; it’s ordained; through Jesus Christ it’s the thing we’re to inherit; we are the heirs of God, joint heirs with Christ. He won that, and in His winning it, we won it.
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron—This is the Christ company. Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. Now therefore be wise, O ye kings: Be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, For his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all they that take refuge in him.
This gives us a good idea of how it’s going to turn out, in this fantastic light and wisdom that is coming up out of the Scripture.
