We are going on a journey or an adventure together. Journey of discovering how to engage God in the spiritual realms. Discovering the realms within us, around us and the heavenly realms. There are 2 main pathways that we are going to follow.
Pathway of relationship that leads to deeper intimacy with God. Flowing from inside out – heaven to our gateways of spirit, soul, body to the world around us. Pathway of responsibility that leads to greater kingdom rulership. Flowing from outside in, from earth to heaven as living sacrifices to rule.
Heb 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil. Spirit building training exercises. Scaffolding needed to build a house to then live in it.
Fellowship- spending time with Him in our spirit. Speak, Pray & sing in tongues. Meditate on word of God – Prov 4:20-23. Wait on the Lord – Be still sense Him spiritually. Praise, worship. Desire – Discipline – Delight.
Developing our relationship with God to hear His voice and see what He is doing. Journal everything don’t try to analyze it. Write – Review – Revisit. Tongues as a gateway gift.
The spirit has a language. Language is called speaking or praying in tongues. It is the language the Holy Spirit communicates through us and to with.
It is a spiritual gift. It can be received through laying on of hands.
1 Cor 14:2 For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries. 4 One who speaks in a tongue edifies himself; 5 Now I wish that you all spoke in tongues, 14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. 15 What is the outcome then? I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the mind also.
Speaking with other tongues is designed to equip us from the inside out. It edifies the part of us from which all permanent change comes — the human spirit. Tongues are an activation gift.
1 Cor 12:7,10 to each one is given … to another various kinds of tongues. The 4 basic varieties of tongues. 1 Cor 14:4 One who speaks in a tongue edifies himself. Tongues for personal edification. This is available for us to use as we will.
1 Cor 14:5 and greater is one who prophesies than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may receive edifying. Tongues for interpretation. This manifestation of tongues is normally presented in a public gathering, accompanied by interpretation by the same or another person. This is as the Spirit wills.
Rom 8:26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; Tongues of deep intercessional groaning.
This variety of tongues empowers believers to stand in the gap for their own lives, their families, their church, their city, their nation, etc. God sometimes moves us to intercede for someone or for some situation that is totally unknown to us. This is as the Spirit wills.
1 Cor 14:22 So then tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe but to unbelievers; Tongues as a sign to the unbeliever. This is what took place on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2: 4-11). It occurs when the Holy Spirit transcends the mind and all language barriers by empowering a believer to preach, teach, or testify about Christ in some language of men of which the believer himself has no knowledge.
Of these four different manifestations of tongues, two are designed to be used in the individual prayer life of a believer: Tongues for personal edification and Tongues that extend into the deep intercessional groanings of the Holy Spirit.
Tongues for interpretation and tongues as a sign to the unbeliever, are normally for use in public gatherings. As we begin to understand and yield to these four different manifestations of the diversities of tongues, it will cause our spirits to grow.
The most common, yet perhaps the most unique, manifestation of the varieties of tongues is tongues for personal edification. This is the prayer language each of us receives when we are filled with the Holy Spirit. It is used by God to transfer divine secrets and mysteries from His Spirit to ours.
The spiritual link between praying in tongues and revelation knowledge is in the understanding of the word “mysteries.” Def. truth only known by revelation. Paul mentioned this word three times between chapters 2 and 14 of First Corinthians.
1 Corinthians 2:7 but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory; 1 Corinthians 4:1 Let a man regard us in this manner, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.
Strong link between tongues & ancient revelation knowledge. Paul told the Corinthian church he was thankful he spoke with tongues more than all of them; He also stated that he had been made a steward of the mysteries of God. What is a steward? What are those mysteries?
A steward is an administrator. A rich man of that day would employ a steward, who acted as an administrator over the rich man’s wealth and goods. The steward guarded the rich man’s goods against waste, misuse, and theft. Order for Paul to be a good steward of the mysteries of God, he had to protect those mysteries against infiltration of false doctrine, legalism, Satan’s hatred for the Church, etc.
How did Paul do that? By allowing the Holy Spirit to pray these very same mysteries through him hour after hour in tongues. He knew it would release revelation of deep calling out to deep – our destiny .The mystery hidden for us of the vast sum of God’s thoughts about us (Psa 139).
When you start praying in tongues, you put yourself in the Spirit. The Holy Spirit bypasses your flesh, soul, and intellect and goes right to your spirit. Creating that supernatural language as soon as you open your mouth or engaged your mind or spirit .1 Cor 13:1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels.

1 Cor 6:17- But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
1 Cor 2:10- the Holy Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. 11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man. Holy Spirit & our spirit flow together in harmony through tongues.
1 Cor 14:4 One who speaks in a tongue edifies himself; Tongues edifies or builds up our spirit. Tongues helps our spirit to grow and function. Tongues allows us to communicate with God. Tongues helps us tune in to God.
Tongues – Spiritual language. Language of Angels – Earthly languages. Different tongues for different purposes. Spirit prayers, Love tongues. Intercession tongues, Ministry tongues. Battle tongues. English tongues. Devil can’t interpret our tongues.
Tongues in bible reading. Tongues in meditation. Tongues in ministry. Tongues seeking revelation & direction. Tongues to keep connected to God inside. Tongues keeps spiritual life flowing. Practice multitasking so we can eventually operate in dual realms. The Western educational process kills right-brain creativity.

To develop our spirit – we need a different educational approach than that of the Western system of studying intellectually. So, we can all have the same opportunity with God.
The goal of knowing is to encounter the Holy Spirit and let Him give revelation knowledge into our spirit and soul. Knowing must not be limited to left-brain functions alone.
God communicates by a flow of thoughts, impressions, pictures and knowing through the spirit to soul/heart. When we relax, more blood flows to the right hemisphere; thus, a relaxed person can more readily access right-brain functions. (Alpha waves). When we humbly seek God, divine revelation flows to the soul from our spirit.
Knowing God in our spirit or at our centre. Living from God consciousness, living from our spirit, entering rest. When you know you can see. When you see you can be. When you can be you can do. Know Him – be like Him – only do what we see Him doing.
Tongues 3 ways.
1-Out loud.
2-In your mind – conscious of the words.
3-In your spirit – bubbling not conscious of the words but aware of a flow.
1 Thes 5:17 Pray without ceasing .Learning to multitask do 2 or 3 things at once.
Exercise – close your eyes .Pray in tongues out loud 1 mins .Pray in tongues in mind 1 mins .Pray in tongues out loud then in your mind and then focus on feeling tongues in your spirit flow, as a river bubbling up in your belly 2 mins. Feel it, sense it don’t think about it.
Close your eyes and think about Jesus. Pray in tongues out loud. Keep your eyes closed and think about Jesus or the Father. Pray in tongues in your mind. Keep your eyes closed and think about Jesus or the Father. Pray in tongues in your spirit.
Open your eyes. Pray in tongues out loud. Whilst reading Psalm 23 1-3 in your mind.
Psa 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. 3 He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.
Pray in tongues in your mind or spirit 1 mins. Relax whilst listening to Psalm 23 1-3.

Keep praying in tongues out loud or in your mind or spirit. Picture the shepherd and you lying at his feet in a green pasture beside quiet waters.
Ask the shepherd a question in your mind: How do You feel about me? Listen in your thoughts for His answer and open your emotions to engage. Journal or write what He says.
Spirit building exercises – practice. .5 minutes tongues out loud thinking about or picturing Jesus. 5 minutes tongues in your mind thinking about or picturing Jesus. 5 minutes tongues anyway whilst reading any visual scripture. John 4:13 Drinking living water, Heb 4:16 coming to throne of grace.
5 minutes tongues anyway whilst visualizing the scripture. Every day try to pray in tongues in your mind whilst doing everything. Every hour re-center your thoughts by praying in tongues whilst think about or visualizing for 1 minute. Digital watches set the hourly chime.
