Transference

In the kingdom of God there are certain spiritual laws or principles that govern it; one of those principles is transference. In order to walk with God we are going to need to learn how the principle of transference works. Transference is the process of moving something from one place or person to another. To transfer is to pass on from one person to another, to impart.

John 1:29 Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away (lifting away from) the sin of the world

2Cor 5:21 for He made Him  who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God  in Him. (Intimate union with oneness of heart, mind and purpose, the condition or manner, in which one moves or is moved.)

Our sin was transferred to Him, that His righteousness might be transferred to us.

God is righteous so that He must judge sin, so He took our sin upon Himself and paid the utmost penalty for it, that He might legally give us His righteousness. When we receive His Spirit we receive the Spirit of righteousness.

The righteousness of God is His standard. God himself is the standard of the believer, and only His spirit can meet His standard. We receive the life of His Spirit which grows and develops in us meeting His standard.

That we might become, the righteousness of God in Him- It is all about becoming, the result of an intimate relationship with Him.

Salvation is the manifestation of transference. Our sin nature was transferred to Him that His divine nature might be transferred to us.

There are two aspects of transference, impartation and appropriation. God must impart His Spirit to us and we must receive it-(appropriation).

In the types and shadows of the Old covenant the priest would lay his hands on the animal, confess over the animal the sins of the people and impart them to the animal. The sins of the people were transferred to the animal, and then the animal was killed on behalf of the people. The wages of sin is death. So the animal died instead of the person, symbolizing that the penalty for sin was paid, so that the person could appropriate forgiveness. They had to believe that their sins were transferred to the animal.

Transference is the way we change. God transfers his attributes (who He is) into us, until we become what He is. It is through transference that we appropriate, (absorb God) into our lives.

We change from the inside out. God is at the center of our being and as we open our spirit, his life flows into it and our soul becomes aware of it. The life of God in us must flow out into the atmosphere around us so that other people can become aware of it.

Our spirit is the part of us that commune’s or fellowships with God. We have to open our spirit to God, so that His life can flow into it. Our will is directly related to our spirit, because in the new birth of our spirit, there is a yes in our spirit to the will of God, our spirit is willing. So opening up our spirit is an act of the will. When our spirit is alive to God, we can open it to God, our will is directly related to our spirit, so it is a choice, we have power over it to open it or not open it. Our spirit has in it an open door, it is not locked- the problem is our soul is not aware of it all of the time. But once we become aware of our spirit, we can keep it open all the time this is called abiding.

We have to learn how to rule over our spirit. A person who rules his spirit is greater than a person in the natural that can conquer a city militarily. To rule our spirit is to keep it active and communing with God.

Our voice is directly related to our spirit, so by praying in tongues we can keep our spirit active, where Gods life and power flow through it. It is only in the strength of our spirit, that we can overcome our flesh.

A walk with God is not about self-improvement, it is all about a New Creation. We become a new creation (that never existed before) by God imparting to us His attributes, His understanding, His love, His faith. His life flows into us by the principle of transference.

In order to walk with God we need to learn how to appropriate His Spirit. To appropriate is to take possession of, to make it our own. We appropriate Gods Spirit through the law of transference, as we are aware of His presence.

As we enter into the secret place of His presence, God opens our spiritual eyes and we become aware of his presence. As we become aware of His presence his Spirit flows into us. It is only through our awareness of His Spirit that we can move in His spirit (walk in the spirit). It is in the atmosphere of the Spirit that we appropriate His Spirit.

The Parousia is the Presence of the Lord that is manifested as He is coming to indwell our lives. It is His secret coming in His children, and it does not happen automatically. It happens as we discipline ourselves to have a meeting with the Lord. We activate our spirit and seek His face, we literally press into Him, the focus of our spirit drawing from Him.

As we learn the spiritual principles that govern His kingdom, we sow to the spirit and reap His life. As we are filled with His Spirit, it creates an atmosphere of His presence around us. And it is in this atmosphere that others have the opportunity to meet the lord. As His presence is manifested around us it purifies the atmosphere-when the concentration of His presence becomes so thick that His glory is literally manifested-then the kingdom has come into the atmosphere and everything that enters the glory conforms to it.

When God broke covenant with Saul, His Spirit left Saul and rested upon David. An evil spirit of jealousy then came upon Saul which caused him to want to kill David.

1 Sam 19:18 so David (beloved) fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah (height), and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth. And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah .And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company  of the prophets prophesying (to speak by inspiration), and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied. And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also. Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu and he asked and said, where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they are at Naioth in Ramah (height): and the Spirit of God came upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah . And he stripped(forcefully remove)off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down(falling down) naked all that day and night.

Through the new birth we have received a measure of the Spirit. Samuel was the last judge of Israel, a type of Jesus standing over his body, leading us in the manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. The sons of the prophets were exercising the gift of prophecy. Through speaking the word of God through prophesy they were creating an atmosphere of God through their words. As we begin to use the measure of the Spirit (all may prophesy) as God begins to separate the precious from the vile (the divine from the human) we will become an oracle of God. As we begin to prophesy a lot of us (the human element) may be in our prophesying. But as we mature we will begin to speak a pure word from God, purifying the atmosphere-creating a suitable dwelling for the Lord. He inhabits the praises and prophesies of His people.

It is in this atmosphere of the Kingdom that we begin to really grow spiritually. It is in this spiritual atmosphere that we are called to live.

When Saul full of the devil came into this atmosphere, the devil left him and the Spirit of God came upon him. As he entered into the glory he threw off his armor and fell under the power of God. When the Spirit of God lifted off of him, he turned back into his old self.

When the Spirit of God comes upon us and we behold His glory we are changed into the same image, every time we are filled with the Spirit our capacity for God increases. Because our spirit has been born of God it grows and develops as it is in contact with God. As we learn how to walk in the spirit and live by spiritual principles we will begin to grow quickly.

In order to walk in the spirit, the living works God has prepared for us to walk in; we are going to have to learn how to be continually filled with the Spirit through the law of transference.

In order to be filled with the Spirit, we have to learn how to appropriate the Spirit. The Spirit of God is like a river or an ocean, there is a never ending supply but we have to learn how to drink of Him, to draw from Him.

Jesus is coming to be glorified in a remnant-like Gideon’s 300.

Judges 6:1 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord: and the Lord delivered them into the hand of Midian seven (completion) years. And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains and caves, and strongholds, And it was so, when Israel had sown, that the midianites came up, and the Amalekites (type of the flesh), and the children of the east, even they came up against them. And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza(dividing line between the wilderness and the promised land), and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass. For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number; and they entered into the land to destroy it. And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites, and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord.

For seven years Israel bore no fruit. Other things entering in choked the word, until they cried out to the lord in pain. The Midianites are a type of that which contends for the word of God. It is always a battle over the word. We will never enter the promised land of the abundant life, until we overcome the negative transference of the things that keep the seed of God from producing a full grown son of God.

Judges 7:1 Then Jerubbaal, who is Gideon (warrior), and all the people that were with him, rose up early, and pitched beside the well of Harod:(fountain of trembling) so that the host of the Midianites (their defeat became a symbol of God’s deliverance for His people) were on the north side of them, by the hill of Moreh, in the valley. And the Lord said to Gideon, The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianities into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying my own hand has saved me. Now therefore, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, “Whoever is fearful and afraid, let him turn and depart at once from Mt. Gilead.” And twenty-two thousand of the people returned, and ten-thousand remained. But the Lord said to Gideon, “The people are too many; bring them down to the water and I will test them (to refine, the purifying process) for you there. Then it will be that of whom I say unto you. This one shall go with you, the same shall go with you; and of whomever I say to you, this one shall not go with you, the same shall not go. So he brought the people down to the water. And the Lord said to Gideon, Everyone who laps the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set apart by himself; likewise everyone who gets down on his knees to drink, And the number of those who lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, was three hundred men; but all the rest of the people got down on their knees to drink water. Then the Lord said to Gideon, by the three hundred men who lapped I will save you and deliver the Midianites into your hand.

We are called to be a builder and a warrior, a sword in one hand and a trowel in the other. We have to deliver over to death the things in our life that hinder our walk with God, and be built up in the spirit. The midianites are a type of that which rivals a walk with God. That which competes with our attention or focus, that which brings disagreement in our personality. That which comes, to keep the word from being fulfilled in our lives. That which comes- to keep the fullness of God from being manifested in our lives.

Gideon was a hewer, to chop or cut with an ax or a knife. The ax lies at the root of the tree. We are called upon to pick it up and use it, in the war over the Word. We are called upon to get to the root of the problem-self will- that which opposes the will of God from being done in our lives.

We must rise early and activate our spirit, receive our infilling for the day. Once we get started right, then we can maintain the flow all day.

The first lesson we learn in a walk with God, is that without Him we can do absolutely nothing that produces the fruit that remains. Whatever God calls us to do it is always a little more  that we can do  with the spiritual level we have already attain, so that we have to keep pressing in to more of God.

The first enemy we encounter is fear-in the past we have been driven by 100 forms of fear. The fear of missing out in life, all fear comes under the head demon of fear-the fear of death. The fearful and unbelieving leads the list of those who do not inherit the kingdom-Rev 21:8

In the separation of the remnant the first to go- are the fearful. Because of the law of transference, fear is contagious. The remnant is strong and courageous in the Lord, in the battle over the word possessing our heart we are continually exhorted to be strong and courageous.

In the purifying process the Lord brings us down to the living waters to see how we drink. We are not called upon to the read the word but to eat the word. Faith does not come by reading but by hearing the voice of God. They are not just hearers of the word, but doers of the work. A warrior in God’s army does not live in deception but is aware of the schemes of the enemy.

Those who got down on their hands and knees were only concerned about themselves, and meeting their own person need, they are still self-centered. They had their heads down, they had no vision, were not focused in the right direction.

The remnant of the Lord are watchmen, they are aware of the times. They have prophetic vision; they see the will of the Lord. They had their head up so as not to be taken by surprise by the enemy. They are ready to execute the Lord’s victory. There concern is not for themselves but the Lord-they are God centered. They are also looking out for the family of God.

7:16 The he divided the three hundred men into three companies and he put a trumpet into every man’s hand, with empty pitchers, and torches inside the pitchers 20 Then the three companies blew the trumpets broke the pitchers-they held the torches in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands for blowing-and their cried the sword of the Lord and of Gideon. And every man stood in his place all around the camp; and the whole army ran and cried out and fled.

The torch and the sword are the weapons we use to overcome the Midianites. Our problems center in self-deception. We need to see clearly and let the word of God govern our lives to overcome the inner warfare. We have to position ourselves, take our stand upon the word and the fullness of the Spirit causes the enemy to run.

Ps 23:1-6 The Lord (I am that I am) is my Shepherd:(to feed and to tend) I shall not want.(to be lacking and needy, a failure to be fully complete, whole, sufficient) He maketh me to lie down( to recline, rest, to sit) in green pastures; he leadeth me(to move at a convenient speed, to lead in an orderly fashion with great care) besides the still( resting place, where peace, quiet and trust are present) waters. He restoreth (to turn back, to reestablish, to change into) my soul, he leadeth  me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.( what identifies Him) Yea, thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod(a symbol of authority, used to discipline) and thy staff(a support, supply) shall comfort(showing kindness, to avenge) me. Thou preparest a table (a great honor of a king) before me in the presence of mine enemies; (oppressor-one who binds up and ties, to be distressed, Troubled) thou anointest (to satisfy) my head with oil;(richness, strength, fertility) my cup runneth over.( a state of overflowing, overabundance, richness, safety, the blessings of God’s deliverance) Surely goodness( general state of well being) and mercy( kindness and faithfulness) shall follow me(to chase after) all the days of my life; and I will dwell( to inhabit, endure) in the house ( dwelling, family, dynasty)of the Lord forever. We have to seek the Lord until we are literally filled with the Holy Spirit.
