Unto the principalities and powers through the church

What should be our attitude toward Babylon, toward what is happening in the religious world? The crying has to come forth out of this Walk, “Come out of her, My people, be not a partaker of her sins” (Revelation 18:4), because it is absolutely sin. Some people are not yet aware how deadly the battle is. Babylon is fighting to destroy everything God is bringing forth.

God is getting ready to break the back of the banking and federal reserve systems. There is so much corruption, and so much that is of Satan, that God is going to bring it down. Our finances and the economy have been manipulated by devil power so long that the people do not realize it; they submit to oppression without knowing what is happening. You earn your money to put it into a bag of holes. It leaks out. God has a better system, a better plan for us.

The day has come for judgment. We have prayed for it and have prophecies about it. We are going to prophesy against every wrong thing: “You are cursed in the name of God; you are going to come down!” This may not be important to some of you, because you still do not realize the grim reality of this battle. This is life and death between Zion and Babylon. If some of you really knew how serious the outcome of this could be, you would not be careless about your prayers. You would be seeking the face of God continually.

We have come to the time that the Kingdom of God is not blessing a few people, from service to service, to help them endure coexistence with Babylon. God is saying, “I shall bless you, so that you can rise and overcome it.” The minute you start on that, you become aware that the battle is intense. Oh, how Satan rages against the people of God! He knows his time is short, but he is raging. You have to have guts; you cannot run frightened. This is no time for rabbits; this is a time for lions. Go in and fight in the name of the Lord.

When I think of the days ahead, I cannot imagine what Satan will do to stop us. Some of you will shed your blood before this is over. There will be martyrs crying from beneath the altar, “How long, O Lord, how long before You avenge us?” (Revelation 6:10). I will not spare you. Live it, or run and hide. Do one or the other, but do not be passive. The battle will be so deadly and so subtle that you will be tripped up before you know it, unless you are set to do the will of God with all your heart. Our hearts have to be set and determined toward conflict as a way of life to us. Satan is battling, trying to buffalo us out of it, trying to stop us so we won’t keep praying, we won’t seek God, so we won’t break through, but we will, in the name of the Lord. We are on a course of prayer, seeking the face of God, because we are going through on it.

Satan hits everyone in their weak points; he does all he can to stop them. We have work, more than we can do. We will never get on top of it. By the time we think we have, there will be another church, or a dozen, a hundred, or a thousand of them. What are we to do? We were born for this, and if you think you can sit back and enjoy this Walk, you do not understand anything about spiritual warefare.

America was set to be a land where God’s remnant could come forth and bless all nations of the earth. That was why God reserved her until these recent centuries, and I do not believe America is to be turned into the hands of perverts, pornographers, and whatever else is trying to destroy our land. It was not made to be turned over to satanist churches and witchcraft, or anything else. We have a word from God, confirmed again and again, “I will let these come up in order that you can judge them and send them into judgment.” Let’s believe to have this judgment from God. Why did God give us the Holy Spirit? Because the prince of this world is judged. (John 16:11). The Holy Spirit is the administrator of judgment through our lips, through our faith, against the prince of this world. Satan can never stop the work of the Holy Spirit; that is the one thing greater than he can handle.

In this generation, let old Lucifer be brought down along with the principalities and powers that have tormented, afflicted, and made men sick, that have played upon the old nature and brought them down to try to thwart the purpose of God. In our generation, let us see God curse Satan into hell, right into the bottomless pit. Let us be burdened for it. The resolution of the conflict of all the ages is falling upon the army of the Lord in the end time.

Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach unto the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; and to make all men see what is the dispensation of the mystery which for ages hath been hid in God who created all things; to the intent that now unto the principalities and the powers in the heavenly places might be made known through the church the manifold wisdom of God, according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ephesians 3:8–11.

These principalities and powers are to be defeated through the Church as it pleases God to manifest His wisdom through it. We talk about wisdom and learning and understanding, and that is what we need. God give us the strength and the wisdom to battle, because that is the great intent and purpose of God through the Church, through the Body of Christ. Unto these principalities and powers He would manifest His wisdom. Through you and me, in our ignorance, our foolishness, our weakness, it pleases God to bruise Satan under our feet shortly. By His wisdom He could have done this with one word; one decree by His mighty power could have brought it to pass. But it was His purpose, His intent, that now unto these principalities and powers that war against us, tremendous wisdom can outsmart Satan at every move—through the Church, through His Body. If I did not know that, I would be praying for God to do it, but I know that it is God’s intent to bruise Satan under our feet.

I pray God to put that fight in us: something in our spirit that senses our destiny. We are not to just preach the gospel to a few thousand people in the earth; we are to preach the gospel of the Kingdom, the Kingdom of Christ that will prevail over the kingdoms of this world, over principalities and powers, over Satan. This is what it is all about. I dedicate myself to it. I have been battled by Satan, year after year. There is a grim fighter instinct in me, yet there is a greater compassion every day. The compassion and the mercy of the Lord and the judgments of God are to be in the earth that people might learn righteousness. I can remember how I used to want people to appreciate me, and I did not want any enemies, but I passed over some invisible line: that is gone, and I am going to seek the full will of God. As far as anyone’s opinion is concerned, that is immaterial. We have a destiny; we cannot help it. We are born in an age when it is all taking place, not to be just well-oiled machinery that produces a few books and tapes, but spiritual bombs for Babylon.

I believe this Walk. I have lived it, walked it, given everything I have for it, and by the grace of God I am going to stand and fight. If you look my way you will see a grin on my face, for I welcome this. Come on, Babylon, I will fight you! Principalities and powers will go, in the name of the Lord, because we have the authority to bring them down. I have suffered, I have limped, I have gone through more kinds of trials than most men go through, but it does not make any difference. I feel like Paul: “Henceforth let no man trouble me. I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus” (Galatians 6:17).

We are ready to fight and we had better be ready. If you think it is fanatical, your tolerance is of the devil. You are tolerant of a system that God has cursed. I rebuke your passivity and your fear of man that wants to be esteemed highly, even by Satan’s crowd. “Beware when all men speak well of you.” God deal with you about it and stir you up to be what God intended you to be.

Let’s seek the face of the Lord. If anything stands in the way, stand and yell against it, weep against it, and break your heart before the Lord. Repent, seek God, do not let anything negative be in your heart; get on the battle line for God. “Rise up, you saints of God, quit ye like men; be strong in the faith” (I Corinthians 16:13). God did not raise you up to turn your back to the enemy now. We are going to do more than just make it.

It is the time to take the Kingdom. What do you want to live for? God made me to be a leader to you, and I take it seriously and conscientiously. The battles have been long, and sometimes you have been discouraged with it, but I will not lead you wrongly; I will lead you by the words God has given me. It is more important that I be faithful as a man of God than my life have any pleasure in this world. I have never claimed to be anything special; I only know is I have a word from God, and I have this treasure in an earthen vessel.

I refuse to think about my inadequacies or capabilities; I am going to think about one thing: God set me here and gave me a Living Word. I will do my best to be faithful before God to be an instrument to bring that word forth, and I encourage you to look at me that way. Do not make a god out of me, nor do like the people did in the days of Moses when they were going through a hard place and rebelled against him. Just keep your eyes on the Lord. I walk, bearing the treasures of the Kingdom God is giving. Constantly God is opening up His treasures to me, but as Paul said, “I have this treasure in an earthen vessel. The excellency is of God, not of myself” (II Corinthians 4:7). It is not me. It is not human wisdom, nor human ability.

God has made me a shepherd to you. If it were not that, I would not be so patient. What have I to gain through all of this? I do not have any ego to salve. My cry as a young man once was for God and the devils to leave me alone. But God put His finger on me, and I said yes to it; now I am involved with God.

We have something that God has set before us, and that is to bring down the powers of Babylon in this generation. We are going to loose God’s people who have been harassed and oppressed. The Lord is going to come, and we are that remnant, that vanguard going before His face—a John the Baptist company, preaching repentance and stirring the hearts of men to get ready.

You will never find me putting you down because of your problems as long as you keep moving. It does not matter if the way you make it is by taking one step and falling on your face, getting up, taking another and falling on your face, as long as in the name of God you make it. You will not exhaust God’s mercy, grace, and forgiveness. As God helps me you will never reach the end of my limit, either, because I want to draw God’s patience for it. As long as you keep moving you will find me patient with you, and if I stumble, you will be patient with me too. The one burning compassion in my heart is that we move forward in God. We have to move forward in God. I could have written off many, a long time ago, but I would not do it.

O God, put some fight in us; put something in our spirit that rises up, weeps before the Lord, stands and spits fire in the face of Satan, submits unto God, and resists the devil that he might flee from us. O God, give us the faith that was once delivered to the saints (Jude 3). Lord, restore it. We hear everything foreboding about the end time, but though it may be true of ninety-nine percent of the people, I refuse to believe for myself or anyone associated with me, in passivity, the antichrist prevailing over them, the love of many waxing cold. I war against it! Our love is not going to wax cold; O God, that we might love You with all our heart, our soul, our mind, and our strength.

His grace is available. His promises are valid, and we claim them. We are going to be His instruments in the earth, … to the intent that now unto the principalities and the powers in the heavenly places might be made known through the church the manifold wisdom of God. Reveal Your wisdom through us, O God; bring forth that manifold wisdom of God that reaches down through the weak and the foolish and confounds the mighty and the wise. God, You are going to do it; we know it. This is Your intent and purpose. We are not defeated; we are more than conquerors through Christ, and we are not going to walk in anything short of that!

“When God puts us in a difficult circumstance, we can respond either with the murmuring, complaining, and rebellion that seized the children of Israel in Egypt, or we can rise up in faith and go in and possess what God has set before us. We have the enemy on the run. We shall pursue after him with all of our heart, for, ‘Cursed is he that doeth the work of the Lord negligently.’ We are the deadly enemies of Satan. Even as it was spoken, we hate that rebel of heaven and earth with all of our heart, and we will pursue after him, speaking that word as these things come against us. We will put on the whole armor of God and appropriate the full provision of God and walk forth. And if God begins to bring a measure of dealing to our heart, we must not turn back and become faint in our heart. Jeremiah 12:5 says, ‘If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and though in a land of peace thou art secure, yet how wilt thou do in the swelling of the Jordan?’ ”

“God says that except a grain of wheat fall upon the ground and die, it abideth alone; but if it fall upon the ground and die it will bear forth much fruit in its season. We have to be like those four lepers who did not look upon themselves as anything. They said, ‘If we enter the city we shall die there, and if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us go over to the camp of the Syrians: if they spare us we shall live, and if they kill us, we shall but die’ (II Kings 7:4). When the lepers came there, there were food and treasures, and they feasted and brought back the firstfruits. That is what we are going to do. We are not content with where we are, and we are not going back; we are going ahead. Pray it through, because we are on the brink of something so fantastic. The Kingdom of God is at hand.”

There are no rules in this game. Think of the widow in the city, going to the judge day after day. She just didn’t come to him at five o’clock every night and say, ‘Oh, please avenge me’; she was yanking on his arm. ‘Avenge me! Spare me of my adversaries,’ and he had to finally answer, lest she wear him out with her continual coming (Luke 18:3–5). We have to cry out to God day and night. This is what the Lord is looking for.”

Be spiritually violent, or you lose. Decide you are going to be a winner. Even if you get decisively defeated, you have to try, you have to go at it, in the name of the Lord. Some of you have not even begun to go into that feeling of battle. I am not talking about physical violence, but about spiritual battle, when day after day Satan tries to wear out the saints of the Most High. I am persuaded of the principle that no defeat Satan brings is valid or permanent. Only one thing is valid and permanent: the victory of the Lord Jesus Christ and the coming Kingdom and that we believe. If we fall a thousand times, we are going to get up and go on and win, because it is ordained of God.

“The Lord allowed Ezekiel to see the abominations of the priests. They said, ‘God does not see what we are doing.’ He felt the violence, the hatred in his heart, when he saw the wicked things of the world. The Church will have the wisdom of the ages revealed to it, and in this time we must call out to the Lord for understanding that we might know the goodness of God and the wickedness of Satan, that we might hate it with a violence. Let us not stand back and be in that unreal, vague place; let’s contend so we know God.”

“I am impressed more than ever by the gravity of the hour we live in. This is a fight to the finish. We had better get in, get out, or get run over, because this is the most serious time that has ever confronted us. We are not playing church. Thousands of churches all over the world look fine to be seen or heard, but we are in this to serve God. Nothing else in life means anything. What profiteth a man if he gains he whole world and loses his own soul?” (Mark 8:36).

“It is not enough to be dedicated to the salvation message; we have to be dedicated to what God’s purpose is right now. The Lord is bringing down Babylon, and to be dedicated to Him means to be dedicated to that. We can’t have a passivity that thinks the way the world thinks. God has to stir us up. We are going to come forth. The gospel of the Kingdom is going to go forth throughout the earth, and Babylon is coming down. Jesus as Lord is coming forth. Every dominion is being made subject to Him and we must rise up into it and proclaim it; we can’t hold it back.”
