Our spirit is influenced by the Body, the Soul and the Holy Spirit
Our spirit has a very difficult time maturing. Its growth is constantly being frustrated, thwarted and stunted by the powerful influence of the soul and the needs or lusts body.
Our body is very powerful in its effect upon our soul and our soul affects our spirit.
Our body knows pain, discomforts and desires for water, food, sleep and sexual gratification. All this affects the soul.
These are ordinary, basic physical needs that affect the body and eventually the soul, because everything that influences the body affects the soul.
We are constantly under the hindering influences of our brain, and our physical desires.
Our spirit is influenced by the Emotions of the Soul
The sorrowful emotions of the soul realm will crush the life of the spirit.
If our soul is depressed it will cloud the life of our spirit.
We must break through into the spiritual realm, where our awareness of the glory of the Lord transforms us into the same image of Jesus Christ.
A person’s maturity is not determined by their years of religious activity, but by their ability to be taught and led by the Holy Spirit.
The spirits of many Christians are underdeveloped.
Our spirit needs someone to help it grow up into maturity, and enter into its destiny of being made in the “image and likeness of God.”
Thank God, Our Heavenly Father has provided us with a helper, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit influences our spirit. Our awareness of the presence of God, the Holy Spirit influences our spirits to holiness.
John 14:26 “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. ”
