Your career isn’t just about what you do for work. It’s about how God wants to partner with you to demonstrate His Kingdom through your influence and expertise.
The Father didn’t place you in your role by accident. He’s positioned you exactly where you are to learn His ways of leadership, stewardship, and Kingdom impact in that specific environment.
Here’s what I love about God’s perspective: He doesn’t see your job as separate from your spiritual life. He sees your workplace as one of the primary classrooms where He teaches you His character and develops your capacity to represent His heart.
Whether you’re leading a team, serving customers, creating solutions, or managing resources, God is showing you how to do it WITH Him – from rest instead of striving, from abundance instead of scarcity, from His wisdom instead of human pressure.
The beautiful invitation: Your career becomes an adventure in discovering how God wants to be with you in every decision, every challenge, every opportunity to influence others for good.
Kingdom Routine for today: Before you start work, ask God, “How do You want to partner with me today? What aspect of Your character do You want to develop in me through my responsibilities? How can I represent Your heart in every interaction?”
Your career isn’t just your job – it’s your Kingdom assignment where you get to learn God’s ways of creating value and serving others.
Speaking from experience, what Graham Cooke says is so very true. I used to think I landed jobs I wanted because of my work skills and charming personality

. Any success I had was a result of what I brought to the table. However, that was what I believed until God “asked me” to work for Him. (That’s a story for another day..) That’s when I found out He created those job openings so I would be in a position to (unknowingly at that time) assist Him with helping out His other children who either worked in the same place or was a loyal customer of my employer. Lately, God has me (knowingly) working in elementary schools to spread His love and compassion over the staff and students alike! By the end of the day, God makes sure that everyone I have come in contact with knows they are appreciated, supported and loved for who they are and not just what others expect them to be. When I’m asked why I work or volunteer in grade schools, I just honestly tell them I work for God, and He has me on assignment here!
